I don't know, but it might be worth giving Human Services a try.

So would the Human Services Department in the city be someplace that could help?

FANCYQTR - I believe each state has it's own medicare system so it would be difficult for anyone to know how to answer your question not knowing where you are from.

I haven't even looked at any of this stuff yet. I know someday I will have to deal with it and I don't look forward to it.

Does anyone know what plans that a Medicare Assistance program will pay for? I
don't have anything left to pay for anything, but where I am now I cannot get
appointments for at least a month with my doctor, even if it is something that
should be seen sooner. They say to go to the ER, where they would not do
anything about the problem but tell me to see my PCP. It is bad enough at the
ER if you are trying to find out if something is a heart attack or something
else and you never do find out the results of any tests they do. I would rather
not change PCP because I have seen two others there that ignored my medical
history (one thought I was completely stupid enough to think that something that
said it was a statin wasn't a statin so he could get me to go on it even though
I cannot take them). I am really frustrated. I cannot get any answers other
than to see dermatologist I have to have the PCP's referral, which I can't get
because I can't get an appointment.
