Aussie 129--good for you for recommitting to good health! I've been struggling during the past week and am inspired by you (and those who have given you such good advice)! In CT as well and taking advantage of a beautiful morning to head out for a walk.

Wow that is awesome, positive incentive as well. I have been trying to go gluten free - and I have cut out about 60% of gluten products. The sugar...will be another challenge. I use honey instead of "other" sugar products...and I think that has helped. Chocolate is my true vice. Again thanks for the comments.
Hi, Aussie, and welcome back to Spark and to this Team! I have also been a Spark drop out - more then once I came back in May of this year with a new attitude and a new determination. I'm not longer playing the "I want to lose it and I want to lose it fast" game. I found out that only gets you discouraged and you wind up quitting. This is one place where the old cliche "slow and steady wins the race" really does apply. So, I've decided to just enjoy the ride
My best advice - not complicated and it is working for me: 1) Use your Nutrition Tracker faithfully, every single day, and print out the daily report on that page so you can make sure you are getting the proper balance of fats, carbs, and protein. This will keep you honest and accountable for your choices. Checking your report each day is critical - you want to make sure you are getting the right % of nutrients and not just eating empty calories. Remember, it is possible to stay within your calorie range eating "junk" but that isn't going to promote weight loss and it certainly won't maintain it in the long run .; 2) Find a few exercises/activities you actually ENJOY doing and then do them 3-4X a week. If you like what you are doing the chances are much better that you will stick with it ; 3) Stay active with your Team(s) because this is the place you will get encouragement, motivation, and support - including hugs on those days when things are especially tough! and; 4) Try to have fun with this journey to slimness and better health! It's a given that if you enjoy something you will stick with it!
For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son.........
