Hi, Seniorswimmer - I sleep on a 5 year old Sleep Number Bed, which is essentially a high priced air mattress
When I first got this bed it was great - but then that was before I fell flat on my back on a tile floor and broke my wrist and threw everything out of whack. Now this bed is just awful because the controller doesn't work correctly anymore to inflate and deflate and the only place I can now find this 5 yr. old controller model is on eBay for a ridiculously high price
I didn't realize buying this bed was like buying a computer - they change the technology every couple of years on you so you have to spend more money. After reading your post, I'm tempted to buy a queen size air bed and just stick it on the platform I have already! This would certainly be a much cheaper option to buying another crumby bed that promises the world and then doesn't deliver. Thanks for the tip
And, by the way, I don't give a hoot if it looks ghetto - if my back stops hurting, that's good enough for me!!
