Hi and emoticon Spark is a great place if you are serious about changing your relationship with food and re-educating yourself in how to eat in a satisfying and healthy way. emoticon Nothing is "Forbidden" but you have to learn to control what you put in your mouth and take responsibility for your choices - because in the end, nobody makes us gain weight but ourselves. Unless someone is tying you down and force feeding you, you are in charge of what you eat. I had to learn this and stop using excuses for my rotten choices. My lifeline is the Nutrition Tracker - it keeps me honest and accountable for my decisions.

If you use your Nutrition Tracker faithfully, find some exercises/activities you enjoy doing and get your body moving 3-4 times a week with them, stay active with your teams so you get the motivation and support you need, and - most importantly - have some fun with this emoticon This is a great team and you will have lots of emoticon encouraging you all along the way. Glad to have you on the Team!

emoticonPlease don't think of this as a diet! A diet is never successful long term. This is a lifestyle change. You will make small changes in your eating habits and exercise habits that you will be able to maintain for the rest of your life and you will lose weight. There is a lot of support on the site and many successful SParkers to cheer you on! emoticonemoticon

Hi everyone! There is a lot to be said about turning 60 and one of those things is that I now have a "muffin top" and its so hard to lose weight and real easy to gain. I'm joining sp because I don't want to throw more $ out the window on diets I lose interest in and I need a support group. Help! :)
