I went to a few class sessions of yoga several years ago, but did not stick with it. But I just signed up for "yoga-lates" at the Y for the fall. It's a combination of yoga and pilates - I'm ready to try something new!

Recently, I have tried Qi-Yoga. It started up in the hall just down the street, so I really had no excuse. My schedule is such that I cannot get to class, but I have found there are some videos on the main web site, see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe

I enjoy Pilates and Tai Chi too. Currently I am following the SparkPeople videos for pilates/yoga/stretching exercise. I'm still mastering planks!

I've tried yoga in my gym several times but I'm as flexible as a wood board. Maybe I will check out the Sparkpeople videos

Thanks for the suggestion. We don't have a gym close by, but I've used a video and even that is helpful. I just need some others. After my post I did check out some videos supplied by SparkPeople that might work for me just now. I hope you have a happy experience in yoga class. I've found it to be gentle yet still energizing. I feel much better afterwards. Good luck!

I am thinking of adding yoga to my program in September. I just got the yoga schedule at the Y and will be starting with a very beginner version.

Good day to all. Has anyone tried yoga? I've found it to be a gentle way to stretch and strengthen but I'm bored with my video and looking for something appropriate for a "woman of a certain age." Any suggestions?
