So many of us focus on the negatives and don't see the positives. I try every day to look at myself naked and see something I like about my body.
Negative thoughts are so consuming. We think "fat" for so long that it's hard to turn it off. Start thinking 'healthy' because that is how you need to see yourself! Good luck.

After 100#, I still only see fragments of the "real" me. The thinner legs while working out, the photo where I don't realize it's me until they tell me. It takes time to see you. That's why when you go clothes shopping to take a good friend that you trust with you. She can help you dress the "you" you can't see!

Do you have any of the clothes you were wearing when you first began to lose? Keep one item to try on now and again just to prove to yourself that you aren't where you used to be!! :)
I think everyone still sees themselves as overweight. Try imagining someone else's head on your body & you'll see how you really look (that you aren't what you thought of yourself). I do this & it helps me realize I'm no where near the size I "think" I am - that I'm much smaller!

Celeta, it is really hard to get over that image that is held in your mind. By realizing that you are fit, and reminding yourself that you do look great you will come to believe it. I still struggle with that now and again but most of the time I know that I look wonderful! I am not fat I am fit and healthy!

Went to the Doctor today, cause I was feeling really run down last week. Anyway, I have lost 52lbs. since the last time I saw here in March. We discussed what I have been doing and how I did it. Had to Spark and tell her about SparkPeople, all the motivation and other tools they had for weight lose, like food tracking and exercise. She said I would had never lost some much weight on my own. She said she had never heard of Spark and she would browse tonight when she got home from the office. Anyway, she said I was in great shape and to keep up the great work, that I looked Great. There is one problem though, Why do I still see myself FAT?
