Recently there was an article in the news that says: "People who use a pedometer to measure how far they walk lose more weight, exercise more and have lower blood pressure than those who do not, researchers said on Tuesday."
I found the following, copied from America on the Move e-mail, so true from my experience that I just had to share with everyone: "Don't let stress sabotage your health. If you feel tired or overwhelmed at the end of the day, remember that a walk will make you feel better and give you more energy for the rest of the evening. Instead of napping or snacking, put on your walking shoes and go out for a brisk, relaxing walk. This will speed up your metabolism, help decrease your blood pressure, elevate your mood, and encourage a good night's rest."
