Being Monday here I slept in and had a wonderful 9 hours plus a bit more dozing. I feel like I have really caught up.

Just need to get back to getting to bed at a reasonable time now

Hi mums I feel very rested today, feel asleep about 10 but but woke up at 1:30am, did stuff until 5:30 than feel back asleep until 9. That is sleeping in for me. It feels good to be starting my day off slowly on the computer, making eggs for me and Blake. Usually I jump out of bed into tennis clothes and head out by 8am.

Can't sleep for more than a couple hours at a time due to urinary urge. Found out I have a neurogenic bladder. Even not drinking in the evening hasn't helped.

Now they are in the Sweet Sixteen NCAA tournament round. Spartan's take care of business, as in also winning the 2014 Rose bowl game.
(I just have to brag on my alma mater.)

7 or 7 .5 hours is the right amount for me. I just wake up after that length of time, mo matter when I go to bed. Now that I'm retired and don't have to get up and out every morning i thought I might sleep longer, but my body doesn't need more. I am lucky to fall asleep quickly at night and I sleep right through almost all the time. But I have had periods in the past when stress kept me awake and I know it affected my weight in a negative way. A good night's sleep is a wonderful thing!

Hi Fiona, thanks for the suggestion, I have to say, being up without anyone in the house is a guilty pleasure for me! I do my best sparking, enjoy my baths (quiet), read and sometimes clean house when everyones asleep. It's the only time i don't mind cleaning. Plus i like to wake up to everything done and be lazy during the day, so I guess maybe it's self imposed! teehee.

My girls used to say when they were teens, that they thought I was on Crack because I was up all night cleaning while everyone was sleeping. There was a time when I got a job working 10pm-6am, and I loved it, I used to say "I finally found the job that fit me" maybe some of us are just night owls! My prob is that I can't sleep in anymore like i used to. Oh to be young and sleep though anything again! that is the biggest part of growing up that I miss.

I would encourage you to get back into a sleep routine. It will be hard to not sleep through the day to start with but once you can get to bed at a good hour and get you main sleep at night the napping during the day will lessen so you can then get a good quality sleep at night.

sleeping is tough. I do alot of it, but sporatically throughout the day/evening/night. I never know when I am just gonna crash on the couch. This is why I am up at 3:45 , feel asleep watching TV last night. Woke up at 2am.

I had 8 hours but it too was disruptive. We have had a few nights of muggy heat and its hard to stay asleep

I have been doing between 7 and 8 hours last week but ended up having a nap yesterday or 3 hours!!! Still managed 8 last night too.

Mumsey,
I just started this past week, getting more sleep, and I can feel the difference. Even a little bit of sleep deprivation impacts everything we do. It's such a no-brainer, but we all get busy and sleep gets chipped away at, night after night.

I'm with you, I'm making my 8 hours of sleep a priority. emoticon emoticon
