I've gone through this .. and then all of a sudden I get on the scale and 3 or 4 pounds is gone. I've decided that the ups-and-downs of a few pounds is 'normal' to the process, and I'm only weighing once a week and in the morning after my morning 'elimination'. But I am also measuring my body and checking out my sizes. That for me is really encouraging and keeps me motivated. As I work out, muscle mass (and weight) replaces the fat, so the scale may now show my progress. Just hand in there. And yes, increasing my fruits and veggies to 8 to 10 per day probably has also helped along with staying at the low end of the calorie range while eating 5 times a day. Life is good when I can see results. The pounds will come if I KEEP MOVING and eating healthy! We'll all make it if we just do what our bodies need and stick to our reaching our goals! emoticon

I've checked out some other sights, and, wow! One sight said for me to eat 3000 cals a day, and another said to eat 1100 cals a day. SP recommendation is between 1250 and 1550. I moved the range to between 1200 and 1400, but am keeping it closer to 1300. Wish there was an app that could read my personal calorie needs. I'm in this for the long haul, and I'm staying with it! Hoo-Rah!

I'm looking forward to being part of this group! I work so hard at keeping my calories in check...work out 7 days a week...and the scale hardly budges. So discouraging!!

It's 3 days to weigh day, but I weighed myself this morning, and I think the needle's stuck. It put me in such a bad mood. I've kept the cals to the mid of recommended, so I suppose I should see it through to the end of the week. If that needle hasn't budged I'll go to the low end of the recommended. I won't go on; I'm just too crabby. Ooops! Time for a five minute pep talk!

Don't you hate it when you watch what you eat...excercise and do all you can, and then,,,that darn scale doesn't move! I can throw mine out the window!!! but as don't lose heart...you're probably at a plateau and you'll see that scale move again!

I was being disappointed about not losing weight. The number on the scale was stuck. So I began to track my weight each day on a piece of grid paper and I was surprised. I was REALLY good about food choices and exercise for about three weeks and at the end I realized that I had lost weight but it was not in a straight line. It takes me about 3 weeks to see a change in the scale. It has really helped me when I gain those few pounds after the holiday or being sick. I know that it will take about 2-3 weeks for the weight to begin to come off. I think I have "sticky" fat cells. Good luck and DO NOT GIVE UP.

DDRPR1 - don't lose hope. My body didn't even start to respond until after a few weeks of effort without any slacking of the exercise or cheating in eating. Try to focus on your meeting your goals of doing so much exercise a week or eating within a range of calories for the day. Don't focus on the scale at all right now. For me, keeping my mindset on the exercise and eating goals I set for myself distracted me from worrying about the whole weight loss thing. And before i knew it, my weight was dropping ever so slightly....but dropping just the same.
I'm still a work in progress - like most women, I go up and down. At least now, my up and down range is a little bit lower than what it was before.
Good luck! Let us know how you are doing. emoticon

Yes, doing everything that I'm supposed to, but no change. Today is just the end of week 1, but I would have hoped to lose at least one pound!

Keep up the water uptake and maybe change the exercise routine. Are you tracking your food too?

I would switch things up. That's what I've read anyway. If your body gets used to a certain routine or workouts or eating, it will adjust to that level. So maybe amp up your work out and then take a day off. Same thing with eating; amp it up a bit (healthily) and then lighten it up a bit. I hope this helps. emoticon emoticon

Boy are we 2 of a kind! I track and eat carefully and work out also and I am stuck at 127 and want to lose 10. Been there for way too long now. If I can find a way to move the scale in the right direction I will let ya know!

Hi,

I've been working out and have really been good at tracking but am having a hard time moving the scale. I am currently 137 and want to lose 15 pounds. Any suggestions?
