You are so right. I think that's where I have gone wrong before. I always said "I'm on a diet" and then once I lost the weight I was no longer "on a diet" and we all know where that leads!! I am definitely trying to look at this as a lifestyle change incorporating healthy eating and more exercise. I keep telling my family "look out more good food is coming" So far the response has been........... this is good for us? it tastes good!!
I joined Spark and this Team a little over a year ago. It sounded really great at the time, but I guess I wasn't ready because I never moved forward. I joined and that was the end of it. Now I am back. I rejoined in January and have been doing great. I didn't realize how much knowledge, information and support is available on this site. I have been utilizing the Spark recipes, the exercise videos, and have found a wealth of knowledge in all of the articles etc. It is also amazing to me how supportive the entire community is to virtual strangers. I am 54 and am hoping to lose approx. 20 lbs. before summer. I think it is a realistic goal but I have been down this road so many times before. I have lost the weight only to gain it back again. I am looking forward to being a part of this team because I know that once we get older it is harder to lose the weight and I know I can reach out to learn what other people are doing and what works for them.
