I was noticing there are no men in the challenge, but I am hoping it is ok to join in. Last year I did exactly the challenge. I lost one pound a month. Once I hear back that it is ok to join in, , shall I weigh in and post now?. Or shall I wait until a certain day? Thank you.

It's not to late, our first weigh in for the yr is WEds! You can jump in anytime. I just added a bonus for those who are already on the challenge

Hi ladies i think everyone who has posted anything on this thread I have added to the challenge, please go to the challenge thread and ck to make sure on the "list" I have your name and start wt correct. There are alot of you w/out start wts and we need to get those posted. I really don't want to look up each of you to get those #'s! Thanks Bunches.

I think we can all lose 1 pd a month plus a bonus pd this yr. It's doable, We are strong sparklers! My goals are to continue on with a healthy lifestyle anchored by good nutrition and lots of activity. DH and I walk almost everyday. I do pool workouts 2-3 X per week. I am trying to do more Yoga as I seem to have lots of aches and pains I didn't use to have. I find it helps to have to report in and make a commitment to a TEam. Wishing everyone well on this Challenge!! emoticon 13 pounds would take me right to my goal weight!!!!!!

ok, WITH all of you cheeering me on I can do this and get to my goal weight of 118 by March 1st, although I have my fast goal set to Feb 22nd. I have a romantic getaway with my husband of 30 years to the Dominican Republic and want to feel great, healthy and sexy!!! Enough said. Starting at 133, 20 lbs would be marvelous but I will celebrate at hitting 15!!!

I am motivated to lose 20 pounds of blubber......Would love to join 13 in 13 as a great motivational tool. I am tired of my clothese feeling miserable on me. Never had a weight problem until I turned 50, but have packed on the pounds in the past few years and want to lose it and feel like me again!

emoticon Inadequately addressed problems multiply. I have gotten addicted to writing on Sparks threads in addition to eating indiscriminately enough of the time to sabotage my weight loss efforts.

Due to a pending wedding this past winter, I had a focus that I maintained through spring and then lost. Now I am starting from scratch again, 6 pounds up.

My goal is to stop making food such an issue AND want to eat to live, not live to eat. One pound a month is about my speed at its best.

Well, I am a chronic yo-yo dieter and have never maintained a weight loss. Losing 32 pounds last year was huge for me. I need this challenge to help maintain and even improve on healthy eating habits and to keep on exercising. Definitely need to keep toning up. Really hopeful that this challenge will help me!

I signed up for about the sane reasons as you Maci.
I still have about 30 pounds to loose to get to my ideal weight and it seems a bit amount that is going to take ages but aiming for a goal like 1 pound a month seems achievable and yes I will have to be accountable and also be able to watch and cheer others on.

I must say that since I started here 10 months ago I have lost just over 14 pounds so I know I can do it and also that its not just going to come off over a short time span.

I signed up because the thought of having a "doable" challenge to be accountable to the entire yr sounded awesome. Of course I would love to lose 25 but I know that choosing something that I can do to be better this yr would be a really positive move. This yr I was 3 pds less than last yr! woohoo! My goal is to be less every yr. And if I can accomplish this, and maybe start a lose 14 in 2014 (and do it) than it will only take me 2 yrs to be my goal wt the rest of my life! Hows that for a goal! Join me!
So far we have about 100 challengers, be one of them today! emoticon

There's a new challenge called the "lose 13 in 2013" challenge. It is a great time to jump on in and challenge yourself this yr. The goal is to lose 1 pd a month (avg) plus One! You can sign up now and have a jumpstart to help you out.
Maintainers- welcome too! , If you only have a few pds to lose- Welcome!, If you are face first in food right now, Welcome! If you plan to lose 50 pds this yr- here's a place to keep you on track!
