hello sparkers.................. stopping by to say hi. Im really back on track and the scale is showing me 135 again...................... so thats a good thing. Been out on the bike ( such nice riding weather) and have been working out a bit more. Eating right is part of the plan and Ive been much better with that. How fast it all shows results.
Still wearing a Dr Oz blue bracelet -- which I vowed i would wear until I got to 130 pounds. Its been on over a year. UGH.

WooHoo - I ran almost two miles. Decided to try it out and see if I can participate in a neighborhood run/walk next weekend. I'm slow, but I CAN DO IT!!
No - Didn't eat anything except some collard greens after a large mid-afternoon "snack'
Yes - Tracked my points and managed to stay almost within calorie limit even though I went way off early in the day, due to work-related stress.

Hello Everyone, I have been away for quite awhile and it is time to get back on track. It is so nice to have a place to go back to. Lost 11 pounds a couple years back preparing for 2 daughters weddings. Unfortunately I have put all of that back on - so here I am. I am making the commitment to get back to exercise and tracking because that is the only thing that really works for me. The challenge this month is one of my favorites. Yes - tracking food No - too early to know what I will say no to but I will find something Whoo-Hoo - You are all an inspiration

Thanks for the support CARRIEV52! I really appreciate it. Bummer about you not being able to eat nuts, I cant eat fruit, talk about missing out on healthy foods. Like you I hit menopause and put on 20 lbs of what feels like all belly fat. This program is working for me and i am grateful for it. The scale is finally going in the right direction.

Yes! my only sugar today was in the Honeycrisp apple I had as a snack...unsprayed from our local fruitstand
No.... I think I'm allergic to nuts....I ate a dozen blanched filberts and bloated pretty much immediately. And I love nuts. And they have good fats and some protein. But it seems as if this reaction happens a lot....peanut butter, too, even though those aren't nuts. Bummer.
Woohoo! My 15-month-old granddaughter had her first time on ice skates this past weekend....and she loved it!

yes to walking all over the stores, still need about 30 minutes, and I will get that done, I have not eaten very well, cereal for breakfast, and I really hate to eat that, I like a big meal, just cheese and crackers for lunch, and not sure what dinner will be, but getting very hungry so gotta think about that so I wont mess up and hit something fast and fattening. no to candy day 25, I will make the month Woo Hoo, almost 1/2 pound down this morning. we will see on the 1st

Brianna feeling chipper and happy, Addie loving her baton class, beautiful drive w/a friend today in my convertable, won my tennis match!, fun morning w/tennis friends, PT says they are resending my Traction machine, had nice unexpected dinner with family, hubs was spoiled by kids today, got to put all my gkids tonight w/a bedtime story, to cute. and actually did some housework , the first in quite a while.

I now have had 3 good days in a row.
Yes, to a bike ride tonight even though I did not want to go. Had a great time and got my exercise in at the same time.
No, hungry all day because of all the exercise over the weekend. I did well except eating some cereal without measuring then your never really sure how much you ate without realizing it.

Yes, to a 34 mile bike ride this morning with my husband. Got home tired but feeling good.
NO, ate a big lunch after the exercise, so said no to a big dinner. Just a light snack to finish off my calories.

Woo Hoo, I am half way through the month of absolutely no candy, now I only hope I am learning something, not just depriving myself, I guess it is too soon to tell. No, I finished off last night, being very hungry, and eating almost out of hand, 1450 calories, it says I can have up to 1500 but I try to stick around 1200, my hunger got to me, I had cantaloupe which is good, peanut butter filled pretzels which is not that good, healthy I guess but I did not need them, and cheese and crackers, I WAS JUST VERY HUNGRY yes, I am doing much better today, so if I can stick to my plan, no harm done yesterday, right?

had a good productive day so far, washed pillows, mattress pads, just general things, but made me feel good. Yes, I went to the gym, aerobics for 60 minutes, 30 minutes so far on treadmill No, no junk, I ate a healthy breakfast, big, but we aim for 2 meals a day and several snacks, it is good for us.
hoping tomorrow will find me so energized, that is always the question

woo hoo, went to the gym, aerobics for an hour and treadmill for 30 minutes Yes, I have eaten good all day, in fact I have to figure out a bit more to eat to get up to 1200 calories, No. absolutely no candy, or gold fish, snack bars or anything like that. I went to Sam's today, picked up a big jar of pretzels for the Halloweenie kids, 40 bags of Halloween mini microwave popcorn, and no candy, I will buy some candy, closer to Halloween, but I just do not trust myself yet, and I will not open the jar ob pretzels. a great day so far, and I weighed my self this morning, 126 no ounces so this is good. 117 here I come, well, actually I am looking and hoping for 122

Yes to making a dinner full of vegetables, cabbage, onions, peppers, potatoes, carrots, kidney beans and smoked sausage, checked the nutrition on sparks and lo and behold, a cup serving, was only 290 calories, and that was what I had for dinner, along with a slice of bread. No to going over my calories, and no one more day to candy, sweets, salties, Woo Hoo. just because, I feel good again, and getting ready for my first walk in a few days.

Woohoo- showed up as a surprise on the golf course to find the guys and watch them, they loved it and it was fun to ride in the cart w/Dad.
Yes- to playing only 1 hr tennis, and not overdoing it. Plus a massage as a bonus today! No- to buying a candy bar at the golf shop, wanted one,but my goal is no more candy bars this wk, had my share on Sunday! 3.5 ouch!

After 2 bad days, today was a Woo Hoo! I stayed in calories and did workout this morning and just finished a nice evening walk with my husband. Made a good sparkpeople muffin as a healthy low cal snack today also. It was filed with fruit and veggies and still sweet and tasty.

Yesterdays woohoo, yes and no!
Woohoo- bought and decorated all the gifts for the party, than gave them all out , everyone said it was so much fun! Went to the 99Cent store and got something for each person, if you won you grabbed a secret grab bag, and if you won again, you could trade it for a diff grab bag. Only one trader! Everyone loved getting a gift!
Yes- to playing with a team that was obviously under stacked and laughed and made the best of it. (we called ourselves Sudden Death!" we had fun with it.
No- to eating more than one cupcake at the party, oh did i want another one bad!
