I am ending at 148. So I lost 3 1/2 lbs and 1/2 inch on my waist. Only 8 lbs til I reach my goal wt. Yeah! This challenge was very helpful to keep me focused. Thanks team!

Im ending this challenge at 135.................... so no progress for me either.

So - are we ready to do the work?

Are we ready to change?

Are we ready to end the month of may -- with being able to say we made progress?

Are we really ready to stick together --- and get it done?

I know I am................ I got a good report from my Doctor today - the foot is healing properly - i cant do any real kind of cardio yet - no running - and not alot of walking and I cant ride my bike..................... if I can burn off the calories.. I guess Im going to have to eat the right kind of calories and the right amount of them................. we ready for this?

Ok............................. stay tuned for the May promise........... working on it now. emoticon

I'm not feeling so bloated this morning so the nutrition tracker is working. I went up to 143 but didn't change the tracker. This morning I am down a pound so changed it. It is amazing how much salt is in food naturally. This morning I am having cantaloupe and boiled eggs with Mrs. Dash. I am trying to eat more protein. One of the residents told me that if a person doesn't get enough protein, hair thins and mine has been thinning the last few years. She said her nutritionist told her.

Strength training done. Yeah! I just started the 4 week Spring into Shape Challenge along with many other SP members. I tried to do the Day 2 video, but it wouldn't come up this morning because many others were accessing it. So I did Day 7 instead, which is a resistance band workout for arms. I can really use arm toning exercises. Have a great Spark day!

I promised myself that I would do strength training today, since that my was April's promise and I want to finish the month strong. Yesterday was tough, as I had a family funeral and did overeat. I think it's almost impossible not to overeat in those circumstances with all the emotions that get stirred up.
I am anxious to find out what the May Challenge is.

Another rainy Sunday. Watching a Wyatt Earp movie that is three hours long. This is one I have never seen and it is pretty good. Kevin Costner is Wyatt. The trees are starting to bloom signaling the beginning of our warm weather coming. Soon, I hope.

I've been playing with the nutrition tracker after finally figuring out how it works. Yesterday I didn't eat all that much but the sodium was out of sight. It was the Foster Farms baked turkey breast that did it. So I won't be buying that again. When I picked it up I knew in the back of my mind that I shouldn't but I wanted something healthy for sandwiches. It wasn't all that healthy except for the tomato, avacado, green pepper and cucumber and skinny whole wheat sandwich thin bun. One day of too much salt will not hurt me other than retaining water weight.

Today is another day and it looks like the sun might come out this afternoon so I will go for a walk.

160.5 today (nice!)

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but here's the real deal, just for today, mind you. (coffee is rich this morning; yum)

Yesterday I just felt anxious about this party tonight and not having a very good body image right now or clothes to wear to tonight's party. I've exhausted my wardrobe and shopping last week was a dead end turn off so I wasn't up to trying any more by going to other shops yesterday.

I figured if I finished my book (50 shades of grey) and kept my food clean, I'd be doing the best thing I can with the day. Scott came over later in the evening and brought the second book for me to read in the trilogy so I stayed up late getting the first two chapters in. (He also gave me a scalp massage while we watched Bill Mahr which felt great.)

Sometimes talking is too distracting. I needed to keep my priorities straight so I didn't share about this internal conflict. Now it's Saturday and I'll just find something, even if it's a summer blouse (and I'll be a bit cool). At least I'll be with family. My brother and son are due here in a couple of hours.

I weighed in this morning, and no change, which is all good, I am having trouble saying NO again, I did do 30 minutes of cardio today as well as walked 30 minutes, so I feel good about that too. I plan on doing more toward losing a few pounds, but I may just be happy maintaining, I think I got myself too run down, with steps, exercise and plane trips.

No strength training today, but I did lots of hiking this week. My biggest achievement this week was getting back on track after a weekend out of town and 2 foodie events this week. Also
I went out to hike regardless of the weather. I feel very good about the choices I made this week.

I'm doing the 5K your way running program and I'm finally starting to see the scale budge again. I'm also being good about tracking my food so that I don't let extra exercise trigger extra eating. I'm doing a variety of exercise on my cross-training days--zumba, strength training, HIIT, and sometimes getting in some extra fitness minutes gardening or walking. The low intensity activities don't seem to be enough on their own, but they do help when they are in addition to more intense workouts.

looks like sparkpeople has made some page design changes.......... I like it.

Staring at that big number on my page that shows how many more calories I should have for the day. Im still working on committing to low carbs................ I know thats what I need.

Not no carbs-------------------- just low carbs and Im shooting for staying at or below 100 per day. I honestly think its the only way Im going to shed some fat.

its a bright and sunny day today.................... got some errands to run ( or walk in my case).

enjoy your day

No strength training today, but I did take a very challenging hike. I am also starting to make an important mental shift and not to be too lazy to go upstairs when I need something that is kept up there. I have to keep practicing this a lot. It is a very deeply ingrained habit!

still no exercise, but I am trying to get in a few steps, It was humid here today, and with my chest cold, I had to stay inside. I swear, it is always something, sure hope your dr. visit gives you a green light Jazz, It is so hard to stay down. and yes, it is sad how some people consider their lifes. I know, I had only great childhood memories, and my sister who was 2 years older than me, has so few good memories, only that she had run down shoes and hand me down clothes, she never seemed to remember the good stuff.
Oh well, I sure hope May is a good month, my year so far has been pretty darn stressful, and I think my whole family is ready for some sunshine

NJJAZZ,

Thanks for the info about the crutches. I don't know how long Chuck has been on crutches but he is in good shape for being in his 80's. When he walks he always looks like he's on the verge of falling over but he never does. emoticon I first met him last year when a few of us went to the Fair on our bus and he kept saying, "I hope they have a go cart that I can ride" so I ended up staying with him, found him a loaner push wheelchair and I pushed him all over the fairgrounds and we had a great time and I got a workout. The ground is not very level and we got stuck a few times. A few of the ladies here said he should not have gone, being on the crutches but hey, why not? It all worked out and we had a great time. His neighbor across the hall from him cooks his meals for him for a small fee. She loves to cook and he isn't able. She used to be a Nanny. He has a caregiver for a few hours during the day.

Brenda - be sure to tell your friend Chuck that I lost a few inches of pure fat just being on crutches for 3 weeks. I guess I was using muscles I dont usually use. It was a heck of a workout. Im now walking without them using an airboot.............. but those crutches are not going to make him fat................... they will give him quite a workout.

Have to attend the wake of a 42 year old man who killed himself - later this evening. Not sure how someone could feel it wont get any better. He leaves a 17 year old son .

I ssee thre Doctor on Monday - sure hope everything is healing properly --------------- I can walk find in this airboot - but know Im not ready to ttake it off yet ------ I keep trying to do little things to test out the next step of healing..................... Im not ready to put weight oon it yet. Correction ------------- Im more than ready to run with it ---- the bone isnt ready for that yet LOL

Everyone have a great day...........

Back to strength training today. I am concluding that it is probably be easier to do 10 min
of strength training than to spend a lot of energy making up excuses for not getting it done. So I did. It feels so good to make progress. I am starting to see some muscle definition. Yeah!

The sun disappeared and the rain clouds have returned for the next few days. Kinda dark in my apartment this morning. I hate it when I have to turn on a lamp during the day.

Yesterday morning I went downstairs for the Monday morning get together with our new Senior Services Coordinator, Jill, who also helps us with our quilting projects. I took my crocheting with me as I need to finish a couple orders and I can talk and crochet at the same time. Jill served cake and cookies and coffee but I declined and drank my own coffee. Then a man brought us a lot of kinda fresh produce from the food bank so I got a bag of spinach and a steamer bag of assorted veggies and a bag of green onions and some bananas. There was also fruit bowls that the ladies enjoyed. Our manager used some of the bananas and made banana/chocolate chip cookies. I didn't eat any but they smelled really good. I can't eat just one so I refrain. I have a new obsession: The Nutrition Tracker. After all these years I finally figured out how to input my own food and it is a real eye opener!!

I sold four of the doll dress potholders at the meeting. Jeannie, one of the caregivers saw what I was making and wanted to buy some so I came home and grabbed the box full that I keep on hand. Barbara bought two dish cloths. Virginia needed a pair of pants shortened so now I need to do them today. So I made and easy $31 at the meeting.

The monthly birthday party is at 1 and I have to go because it is my birthday month. Me and Chuck but Chuck never goes to things because he can't get around very well using crutches. He refuses to use a walker or a scooter because he said it will make him fat. LoL

RedHat,
I have a trip to Longwood Gardens on my wish list. I only went once and it was when I was pregnant 34 years ago. Did you stop at a mushroom farm while you were in the neighborhood? They are right around there. So is a great small museum. I'm having a senior moment on the artistic family whose work is housed there. Darn it.

162 today

Must say that I did a not-so-wise shop at Trader Joes last night. I don't know what got into me but I bought some junk by health food standards. I also spent too much money for the same reason. Why was I feeling so cavalier?

Now that the rain has passed I have no excuse about my walking daily once again. It'll help me I know. East coast (Maryland) needed that rain big time, and could certainly use more.

Later ladies and gents (if we have any lurking men nearby).

No strength training over the weekend except lugging suitcases. Had a fabulous time at Longwood Gardens. What a treasure! I walked my legs off because the grounds are massive.
But it was worth it. Plus found a fabulous gluten free restaurant near there for my husband's benefit. I am thrilled that there are many more gluten free options these days.
Have a great Spark day!

I am all for anything for the month of May that will keep me focused on my nutrition, I have got this darn cold again, seems like I came back from Iowa with it again, same thing happened in March, but today I do plan on getting out for a short walk,
I love crafts, but I just can't seem to finish anything I start, actually that is my problem with everything, but I am somewhat better this past year.

It's going to be 73 today. emoticon Thunder/lightning in Eastern WA as I write this. I live in Southwest WA a couple hours from the coast so no rain until Wednesday.

Sunday was a lazy day, puttered around my apartment, sorted through a couple boxes and played games and watched movies most of the day. I am not sitting all day because I get up about every ten minutes and walk around. I intended to go for a walk but it didn't happen.
"The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray" and I am really good at that. emoticon

There's a coffee get together at 10:30 this morning with our new service rep so we can throw out ideas of what projects we want to work on for the Christmas Bazaar. I just stick to sewing. Last meeting they served huge Costco muffins but I didn't eat any. All I could see was calories and fat. I always take my own coffee because there's is watered down. I keep telling them they need to serve fruit instead of sweets but no success so far. That's why they are all obese with many health issues and I'm not.

We are quilting this afternoon so the day is full.

Enjoy the day. I plan to,

Had to be my mother's date for her matinee opera yesterday and missed lots of the subtext because I couldn't see the stage clearly. Then we headed out of the city onto Rt I-95 to find it block totally heading south. We were in traffic for an hour inching toward the one exit ramp for I-95 to New York. It was exhausting. By the time I got home I was spent. In the rain going and returning no less. What a Sunday.

Didn't weigh in yesterday or today. Just taking a break. Coffee isn't waking me up too well but I live in a fog half the time anyway.

I had a good run yesterday, the weather was a cool 49 degrees, cloudy, no rain during the event, I did fairly good time wise, a 26.20 for the 5k distance, (8:30 mile), My time was good enough to finish first in my age group--60 to 69, Overall 60 out of 324 I'm blessed. This running thing all started with Spark about a year and a half ago, when I joined the virtual race thread.

it was good to hear from you Suzzete, I hope all is well. I'm impressed, that your maintaining your goal weight, keep it going.

Have a good week everyone, do not eat that cookie today after lunch. Have an apple instead.

The sun arrived in ernest this morning and it will be in the mid 70's this afternoon, I know it isn't that warm for most of you but it is for here. Yesterday it was only 43 so things are looking up.

NJAZZ, I do crafting everyday so my tools of the trade are always out. Right now I am finishing doll dress potholder (crocheted) orders for Mother's Day. And I have some clothing to repair for my neighbor plus a tote bag to make for another. So I am constantly busy.

Later on I am going to walk down the hill and walk around town for a while. The challenge is walking back up the hill as it is fairly steep. Our building is halfway up the hill with a forest behind with trails to the top. I have no desire to try that because a few of the women here have done it and almost fell coming down the steep incline. Teenagers do the trail all the time so I will leave it to them and do my walking mostly on the sidewalks at the bottom.

Have a good day!

May? Not yet please. This last week of April needs more full attention from me at least. I've not lost a pound permanently since the 3 week Medifast project. It's because I fade in and out (mostly out) of clarity about my long term goal. Immediate circumstances cloud my vision; like last night. I had every intention of being mindful, and yet after succeeding went immediately into that foggy permission where I went back for seconds.

Weaning off a sleeping pill aid, I slept lightly last night and woke early. At least I remembered to stretch out my body some while lying in bed. How easy it is to forget what it feels like to live inside this body. The numbing out is a dislocation of where I begin and end. Stretching returns me to an awareness of my parameters.

Today I'll get down on the floor and stretch more deliberately (before getting ready to go to a matinee opera with my mother.)

Hi, peeps! - Just thought I'd check in and see how everyone's doing.
Jazz - so sorry about your broken foot! sounds like you're doing the best possible with the situation. No licking your wounds and going for comfort food - Well done!

MerryMary and SunnyMary - you're still hanging in there, and that's the biggest part of the battle - just keeping focused and keeping it real.

Yanks - You're doing awesome!! Way to keep pushing it! Good luck on your run through the woods (?)

I'm doing well - Hit my goal in June of last year. Keeping it off, dealing with life throwing the odd curve ball (Yanks - how about that turn-around yesterday? My hubby is a dyed in the wool Red Sox fan, so we're always interested when those two teams are involved.)

Kudos to you all for keeping this thread alive and supporting each other in your goals. It was a big help to me in meeting mine. Best regards, and continued drive and determination to you all!

happy to say the foot seems to be getting better ................ much less swelling and the color is back to normal.

I went to a wedding yesterday and bopped around a little to the music but couldnt dance much. Torture - because I love to dance. My date was a long time friend who was a terrific disco kind of dancer back in the day. He had a hip replacement 10 months ago and has had some bad muscle pain ever since - so dancing was out for him too. We laughed at both of us.......... so this is approaching the 60's huh? First time age reality hit - and as "our" music played loudly- we could laugh and sing - but couldnt dance. Pathetically funny. But it did make me realize that my pain and situation is temporary............... his is much more serious with long term permanent implicaions..........

its sunny out now and supposed to be rainy this afternoon. My sisters twins turned 9 years old and so today is their bowling birthday party. Should be a fun day.

weight remains in check........................ 134 and holding............ cannot wait to get back to some fat burning cardio......................

I need to work on walking down and back up the hill. My apartment is the second street down to the bottom and it is a steep walk coming back up after walking down to the drug store and hardware store.

I'm taking friends to pick up prescriptions at Walmart this morning as their truck is in for repairs after being hit in front of their house Easter Sunday. So will get a lot of steps in at Walmart and do a good deed at the same time.

Didn't get my strength training done yesterday, but I did get my campsite set up for spring.
I didn't get much exercise in the process, as I paid my handyman to power wash the trailer and it took him 3 hours due to how extremely dirty it was. I did get some exercise carrying camping stuff up out of the basement to take out to camper. Speaking of camping, I am going to have to psych myself up for a different style of camping this year. In the past I have plopped myself on a chair and did a lot of reading couch potato style. This year I am going to have to start incorporating nature walks into my routine. Luckily there is a nice park with trails nearby.
Many of the campers are lazy bones and go everywhere by golf cart with a beer in the cup holder. That won't be me! I will be looking pretty good for swimsuit season this year!

Marilyn,
I loved hearing you address your awareness to your thoughts. Mindfulness is such a powerful tool when we are changing out lifestyles. Noticing my thoughts is something I too have adopted. Just adding that pause to notice our thoughts can really make a difference witht he choices we make. thank you so uch for shaing.

I finally got back to 161.0 today after a week of being above. Not considered progress to remain the same. Walking regularly though, which is sweet with this fabulous weather.

NJ,
how was your concert yesterday?

Welcome to Our New Members! This is a great place for support.
My quote for today: "Nothing tastes as good as success feels."
I have made it a permanent goal to do strength training at least 3 X a week. It is a challenge to get it done many days, since I am just too stiff at the beginning of the day. Then it's easy to
find an excuse not to later in the day. I am making progress, though. I just realized that in order to adopt the SP lifestyle we must progress thru some mental stages. When I first started I did a lot of magical thinking about dieting/working out for a short time and then being able to eat/do whatever I wanted. Then I started to realize what I needed to do on a daily basis.
Then I started to do it sporadically, as I was still somewhat in denial. Finally I realized that when I didn't want to work out or eat right I needed to get inside my head and realize the messages my brain was sending that justified getting off plan. It took awhile to start listening
for these messages. In fact, I'm still in that stage, as so many of these messages are deeply
ingrained inside us. But now, if I am not too tired I am often able to stop and decode these messages and take action to silence them. Examples of some of these messages are "if I eat
this standing up the calories won't count" or "I don't have time to work out because I need to
reorganize the Favorites on my PC, play with the cat, play my kazoo, etc". You get the idea.

i think support is a major key in the weight loss ingredients. I know it sure has helped me.

Going to a concert this afternoon................ looking forward to it.

I am refocussed on better eating.......................... thats more than 50% of the weight loss equation in my book. I always say you cannot exercise away a bad nutrition plan. All the holiday candy sweets and ice cream is now gone................ finally onto healthy eating.

have a great sunday everyone

Hello all, I am new to this forum. but it feels like a good fit. An original New Yorker transplanted to. The pounds gained in my 50's seem to like me! I did SP 2 years ago and am back! I beleive in accountability and would love the support here.

The definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over and expect different results.

and so today I feel just plain tired... I walked a shorter walk today

lazy night planned with tv and me; I already ate an early dinner.

I am hanging in there. Not really much of a baseball fan. Tried to have a healthy lunch at a restaurant yesterday. It was one of those places that things that were supposed to be healthy were prepared as fattening as possible. Even the salads were big enough to feed 4. I modified as best I could. I did get some strength training in. Scenic train ride on tap for today.

Yanks and NJ,
Last Monday I went to an Orioles Park at Camden Yards ballgame where the Yankees won that night. These two teams are my only ones I like because I lived in NY for many years growing up. There were Yankee fans sitting right in front of us, so they had cause to be happy.

Meanwhile, about my promise. Hanging out with Scott I am eating too much restaurant food and it's caught up with me. Though I have plans for tonight I have to really scale back fast!

Good Morning ,

I did my weigh in earlier this am I'm staying within my range, feeling pretty good. How come when you have to fast for blood work it's easy ?. When I do not have a controlled fast I'm constantly grazing.

Saturday a scheduled race through the woods, it should be interesting, My objective is to just finish and be able to run through the finish line. I pounded down lots of protein yesterday and I plan on doing the same today.

Jazz , don't forget today is opening day for the yankees, I hope you can catch some of the ceremonies at your luncheon.

Great weekend to all----Finish Strong.

Catch boxer, that's great news! It takes determination to get back into the game.
I am doing my celebration a day early this week.
Celebration: I was very consistent with my exercise, tracked all my food, and reached my 15 lbs lost goal!

I hit the chocolate candy yesterday. Thankfully, it was those single bite minis. It seems like cloudy or partly cloudy weather (which we have about 300 days a year in Ohio) really sets me
up for cravings. I think there is some kind of connection with the way we are hard wired that had its roots in something that was useful to early man just like the fight or flight response - it
just doesn't serve us well now.
I did my weight training today and found it to be rewarding. If I can keep it up I will have formed a new habit and I will be motivated by guilt to make sure I do it regularly. Then it will become
second nature.
I have definitely established the cardio habit. It used to be that if I didn't exercise early in the day I never fit it in. Now if I can't work out in the morning I try harder to fit it in later in the afternoon and postpone some household chore to make room. Some days are better than
others. But I love the high energy level I have gotten since I have made this lifestyle change.
So that keeps me going.
Have a great Spark day!

Redhat - I agree there is such power in just developing a new habit - then it becomes less a chore and more just a routine part of our day. Love that thinking.

Tiger---------------- you and I are in the same boat. I have things I need to and should get rid of. Most of my living space is not at all cluttered............. but my closets and drawers are and I have so much I just hardly ever - well really never use. I keep thinking someone else could use it. got to get going with getting rid of some of it when this cast comes off.

definitelhy turned to food today..... ate some cookies and a small piece of cake. just one of those days.

I need to put this out there. Dale's hump day rumination on having extra fat:

Aren't we our worst enemies? We don't mean to be mean. I think it's insecurity stuff that puts up addictive walls. But remember, too that very successful people in other areas of their life can have this same pattern with a substance like food, so what are we to do?

I have boxes of books and stuff that I didn't unpack when I moved 1 1/2 years ago because there was no place to put the stuff. I know in my heart that if I toss it out I will lighten my compulsion to fill with food as well. I just stare at the stuff instead, cowardly. That said, I'll see if I can't be bold right now and pick one box of stuff to get out. I know, there are two boxes of china I don't use. I can get them moved to a consignment shop. (Then the fear is that two years from now I'll want to feed a bunch of folks for some reason and only have settings for 4 around here.)

~ ~ ~ Fear of regret actually creates ongoing regret!!! ~ ~ ~
That is worth mulling over, don't you think?

Dale

April's promise: strength training at least 3 times a week. Next on my to do list for today.
It's just a matter of forming a new habit. I started with the habit of brushing my teeth years ago.
Then there was the habit to set the alarm clock so as not to oversleep and miss half the day.
Then the habit to drink 8 glasses of water. This is just one more habit to add to my repertoire.
And now that I am retired I have no excuse.
Have a great Spark day! I am making progress!

got my strength training in today....................... and walking with these crutches is a workout in itself.

the scale say Im still at 134...................... so my question is - how can I be maintaining when Im not exercising - basically AT ALL. Proves my theory to me that ....weight is all about what we eat ---------------- toning and firming up is all about exercise..........

3 more weeks to go........................ until my next Dr appointment. emoticon

April's promise: lower 4 lbs (to 157)

I have to give credit to the smaller choices I make since the scale isn't lowering ~ yet. [161.5]

Last night I went to a ballgame at Camden Yards (Orioles, Baltimore). Instead of a sausage or fried chicken tenders I had a crab cake without the bun or sauce. Before leaving I had a carvel ice cream. Instead of taking elevators I walked the ramps and stairs.

I felt really guilty about the ice cream because it wasn't all that good. If I'm going to eat something without any healthy value at least I want to think it was worth it.
So today I go get more fruit and will buy 94% popcorn for snacking. I can make a salad and pick up on my veggies as well.

All in all I was fine. I'm looking at the 'good stuff' choices.

I have to try very hard to keep my promise to do strength training at least 3 times a week. I always find time to walk, but it seems to easy to find an excuse not to do the strength training.
I'm not sure why I am so reluctant to do it. I guess a lot of it is that I have a lot of weak muscle groups: I really need to improve upper body strength as well as muscle groups in the thighs.
I am practicing doing the 10 minute videos from the 28 Day Workout Challenge, but I am not strong enough to do full squats or pushups, and squats with a twist are definitely too advanced right now. I guess I am used to being to pick up new skills fairly easily, and this is definitely not of of those. I have no intentions of trying to become a real athlete; I just want to be able to perform ordinary skills like squatting. I am close to my goal weight, but have lots of underused muscles. But I must persevere! Any motivation ideas?

"If you can't do great things, do small things in a great way." ~ Napolean Hill

WHEN YOU STOP DREAMING YOU STOP LIVING
If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge your thought of it and yourself. Hold the image of yourself as you long to be, the image of what you long to obtain, the image of health, efficiency and success. You can lift yourself by your thoughts. Your vision will allow you to surmount the highest obstacles. High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation. What you see is what you get. You'll become as small as your controlling desire or as great as your dominant aspiration.

"Keep your eyes on the prize."

Now that I brought 8 days of eating matzoh into my diet, the scale will treat it just like slices of bread (which I do not). I love sweet whipped butter on matzoh and ate 3 pieces yesterday! Oops.

So back into focus today. It's the last good walking day for this week so I'll make it count again. I woke at a normal time instead of late morning finally, which is a good thing.

I guess I side-tracked this topic a little with my broken foot................... sorry - back to concentration about the Promise. emoticon

Ok so - I did fulfil my promise of no desserts AT ALL for all of Lent. Not one cheat.
But yesterday I enjoyed a small piece of cake = and two medium size bowls of ice cream. Boy did that ever taste good.
Keeping that Lent promise didnt seem hard for me at all. Makes me wonder why I just dont keep the other promises about nutrition I make to myself all year long. If I did I would have that trim -sexy body ( ok well ---------- firm and tones) body that Im striving for.

So my next promise is about doing an upper body workout - since I cant do much cardio being in this boot and on crutches.................... that would be great if i stuck to that for the next 5 weeks at least.......

have a great day everyone................................. emoticon

Hello everyone.

I get confused about what I write on this thread versus the chat thread and put the wrong thing down over there that belongs here. PETS ON WHEELS is a program where dog owners go to a nursing home or other facility once a week with their pet. I'll socialize and befriend residents while visiting them with my dog.

Oliver passed which was just a series of questions to answer, nothing elaborate. What I do next is wait for the vet form to be filled out and then pick out the schedule for when I want to do my hour a week of service. Pets on Wheels dogs are service dogs, isn't that cool? Oh, it's name Pets on Wheels is a takeoff of the program Meals on Wheels. It means someone brings the service to you.
