when I am craving carbs I have a few things I do to help me not go overboard:
1. drink water with a squeeze of lemon juice and eat raw veggies to fill me up.
2. add a TB of peanut butter or hummus to the snack so I have oil and protein combined.
3. after this healthy snacking, if I am still craving, I allow myself a half portion of what I am craving.
4 Then I get busy with something I need to do in order to distract myself, keeping my lemon water or a cup of hot tea with me. I make the tea plain on carb craving days.
