Happy October!! So glad we finally have the fall weather. I was so tired of the heat. I think I have settled in to the new duties at my job. I'm not bored anymore which is great. I loved my job before but it's much better now (minus my coworker not being there anymore).

Great weekend ahead. We have nothing going on. So I'm spending my day cleaning the house. Hoping to finish cleaning my carpets so I can get the carpet cleaner back to my inlaws.

I called Goodwill yesterday. They took my name down, and told me if I was a fit, they would call. It takes a month to get in there. In the meantime, I will continue to apply. I applied at Kwik Trip last night, and plan to apply at GNC sometime today. Eventually something will work out.

We are heading out today for Wollersheim Winery for a tour and tasting. I love wine tastings, and haven't been to one in over a year when I was in Vermont. We are meeting my daughter, her boyfriend, and his mother. We plan to go out for dinner afterwards. Looking forward to it.

Looks like it will be a cooler day today with clouds. Hope we get some sunshine later this week.

Between visits after hubby got off of work, and doing things with my step mom during the day... I am exhausted! We played Bingo on Wednesday, and it was a lot of fun! Hubby teased me the night before, telling me I would be the youngest one there! I was glad to report to him the next evening, that he was wrong!

While out of town, I received a call from Dollar General for a job interview this morning. Hopefully, we can come to some compromise that works and I get the job. Just worried about the weekends....

Plan on resting the rest of the day, so I can recuperate from my week!

Happy Wednesday! My depression is still strong but I go to the doctor again tomorrow. But I am proud of myself I walked quite a bit today already in spite of wanting to be under the covers. I think its because I'm afraid I wouldn't come out if I stooped to that level. So here is my thought for today:

Hope you all did something towards your health today emoticon

Happy Monday everyone!

Michelle, hope you have a great trip. Can't believe Anastasia is 4 1/2 months already. She is too cute.

Kathleen, I hope the job search goes well for you. The waiting to hear back drives me crazy.

Sandy, glad to hear things are getting back on track for your marriage.

We had a crazy weekend. I spent about 18 hours watching or working events for my kids. Saturday was awful at the band competition. It was about 90-95 degrees and they wouldn't let anyone into the school. Kids were so hot. I ended up sitting in my car for a half hour just to cool off. My blood pressure is up again and I get nose bleeds when this happens. At least that happened after we fed the kids lunch. Our band didn't make finals but I think that was a blessing since it was so hot out. Felt bad for the kids though.

I'm so glad this is an easy week. Jessie has band practice 2 nights this week but my husband is on days so I'm making him play chauffer. I plan on getting some great walk in since we finally have fall weather. The high will be in the 70's!! I can open my windows at home now!!!

Sandy- it sounds like there is a LOT going on at your house. Glad to hear the marriage counseling is working at that you are happy.

Michelle-- I hope you enjoy your visit. I applied for a job but haven't heard back. I am seriously going to build a website and get income that way. Its going to be a resource site for mental illness / wellness. There is a lot to learn and know before beginning. Since I have bipolar major depression I really need to do something that I can control around my mental state....some days I am not very functional which is hard to pull off in the regular brick and mortar work environment.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend ladies

Heading out this morning to head down to Burlington, WI to stay with my step mom. Have a week planned of visits with friends and family. Will be heading back Thursday night after hubby gets off work. We are taking his bicycle down with us. As long as it doesn't rain, he will ride that to work. My step mom only lives a mile from his work :) My step mom does not have internet, so I will not be able to check in until I get back. Still wish the app would allow us access to teams :)

I've been taking the Laminate for about a week now. I think it helps. I'm not up until 3 anymore. I still have days that I am tired, but not as bad. I plan to keep using it. We will see how well it works when I go back to work....

I've applied for two jobs this week. Will continue my search when I get back. Hopefully, they will work out. I really would like to be employed before I quit my job in November. Hubby and I have agreed that I am not driving that far for work in the winter anymore. I've hit three animals since I started this job......LOL

Enjoy your week!

Hi Just checking in with you all.. Happy Saturday Hope all is going well and everyone is doing good...

As for me and my family, Well I been busy with the kids and taking care of hubby and cleaning that I haven't had time to log into spark. For that I am truly sorry for being MIA.. I also been dealing with back issues as some days my back is killing me. Then we had two birthdays this month mines was Sept 7th and my youngest was Sept 22nd. She turned 8 yrs old. Boy how times flies by quickly. Seem like she was just a baby you know. I can't believe that I am 49 already. My oldest son who lives in Elmira NY called me the other day he moving out of the group home that was in to his own place finally. He is 24 and just wanted to let us know. He said maybe one day he will come visit and I had no words to say. I know he my son and everything but I just don't know if I trust him around the kids. I told my hubby I just don't want him in my house. Does this make me a bad mother I don't know. He was removed from the home when he was 15. I just want to keep the kids safe from him you know. Anyway things are going good with me and hubby. The marriage counselor is working and going fined. Their been a lot of changes with us both for the better. We talk more and we do things more. We happy right now. We even started our x-mas shopping and four of the kids are done already. Guess that about it so I will go as I have a lot stuff to do today. Got some laundry and cleaning to do. Have a good one guys.. Will try to check in more often....

MPOTTER i love that cross stitch! Its so happy

I'm with WEEBOT, i too enjoy a female doctor for the same reason-- she can relate.

I went to Walmart yesterday. I am finally small enough (HA at mens 42) to fit into mens jeans which means I can buy a pair for $9.99 as opposed to $20 in women's. I'm on disability so every penny counts. SO I am excited about this new level I have reached emoticon ...its been over 8 years since I could do this.

I hope you all have a beautiful Saturday

Mpotter, I love my female doctor one of the reasons being, she lives in a female body so gets it :) You did a great job on the cross stitch. It's really cute.

I went to the mall today and bought some more work clothes. I bought one pair of pants that are a little too snug, but I loved the cut and color(a soft grey). They'll be my next goal pants.
I've lost 5 pounds since recommitting on my birthday last month.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Hubby went to the races to watch his nephew race for the first time last night. I worked on my cross stitch and finished it!!

I am starting to adjust to the new doctor idea a bit more this morning. I will be seeing a female doctor. Maybe she will be a bit more sympathetic to hormonal symptoms. My doctor refused to admit that hormones can cause fatigue, even though all my research stated otherwise.

Not sure what is in store for today. I may go to Joann's and price having my cross stitch framed. Otherwise, I will be getting things in order. I am going down with hubby this week for work. That way I can spend time with family before going back to work on October 4th.

Cloudy and ugly.... I miss the sunshine emoticon

I was in such blah mood yesterday! I just didn't do much. Putzed on the computer, filled out a job application, and did some cross stitch. I would like to finish it by tomorrow when we leave town. The grid on the fabric is very small, and I use a magnifying light stand to see it. But, the backstitching in 3/4 done! Then, off to find a 6x8 frame. Might have to call JoAnn's and see how much it would cost to have a frame created for me...

Pat - Anastasia is 4 1/2 months now, and is really learning to use her hands! Actually, on Monday, while Mom was holding her in the store she reached out and grabbed a toy off the shelf without my daughter knowing it. The cashier asked her if it was hers. By then, it was full of slobber and drool, so she had to buy it. It has been her favorite lately. Here is a picture from last weekend. I love her face in this one!

Yes, Donna, I do get too much of that time. But, my restrictions are close to being over. Only until October 4th. Starting to get antsy and frustrated at not being able to lift or do anything when I want. Sometimes, it is hard to wait until hubby comes home. When my Home Chef meals were delivered on Tuesday, I had unpack half the box outside before lifting it into the house...

Going to venture out to Walmart for a few things. Going to make some burritos to freeze and eat for supper or lunch when needed. I love having a stock of different meals.

Looks really gray out today, but not calling for rain. Just gloom and doom.

I agree projects can be great for helping with mood. I'm still playing around with crocheting. I'll have to start a real project soon.

I've been super busy at work, but sticking to my eating plan. I've been trying to take a short walk on my lunch break. I'm looking forward to some fall temps so I can take some longer walks.

I'm ready for the weekend, but I have to make it through one more work day :)

KHUFSTETLER - It may help. For me, my projects are very relaxing and therapeutic!

Vicky - So hard to change our schedule and routine. Hope you adjust soon!

Had a trip planned to visit my daughter today, but Anastasia's teeth are killing her, and it is worse when it rains. The poor girl is miserable, and doesn't sleep much at all, which means Mommy doesn't sleep either. I decided to stay home and let her nap as much as possible. I will see her next week :)

Feeling tired today, and woke up a lot last night. Looks like my normal sleep pattern may be coming back, but that wasn't good either.... Going to work on my cross stitch today. I am really close to finishing it, and would like it to be done before Sunday.

Time to start hitting the job boards too. I want part time with no weekends. That's going to be tough....

Calling for a chance of storms later today. Tired of the rain...

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for the last week. I went back to work full time last week. Didn't think it would have such an impact like it did. The other girl in our office got laid off and found another job. I know how to do her job, but just not used to having to do it every day. I'm used to having a couple of hours a day to do nothing.

My daughter's marching band had their first competition Saturday. They got first place for pitt/percussion and the band took 2nd place in their division. It was a good but long day. I spent 4 nights working at the school last week. Only done a couple this week! We have our second competition this week.

Slept a bit better last night. I took my sleep supplement right away. It still took me a little bit to fall asleep, but I could feel myself relaxing.

Supposed to be very rainy with storms today. Going to try and get to the sewing room today. Hubby has piled some of his things on my table. Grrrr..... I order fabric last night for some curtains I am making for a friend. But, still need to finish the baby set I am working on for Anastasia. Thankfully, she is not sleeping in her crib yet!

Feeling back to normal today, so plan on picking up my sewing room so I can start using it again. The ironing board ends up being a catch all.

Did some research on my Fitbit yesterday since I have not been able to get it to sync for three weeks. My phone is not compatible with the app. So, I will try syncing to the computer instead. I lost the dongle that came with it, so I ordered one from Walmart. It should be here by the end of the week. If this doesn't work, I will be looking into another brand to track steps.

Trying a new grocery service today - Home Chef. My sister has been using it for a couple of months, and she just loves it! Tonight's meal is Cajun spiced Tilapia with Remoulade and Cauliflower Jambalaya. It looks so yummy and makes enough for leftovers! This service would be a bit expensive for families, but for two people (or 1 most of the time for me), it is great!

I am dreading going back to work. Being off has really given me time to reflect and think about what is really important. I need to work, but not full time and not for an employer that treats their employees so badly. They just don't have anything to keep me there.

Have a great day!

Sumeronthebeach - Good for you on the workout!!

I am going to try a new OTC sleep aid from GNC. It is all natural, and non addicting called Luminite.

Had a great time in the Dells, but did way too much walking. Shopped the craft fair, and bought my fudge and caramel apple. It's a tradition....LOL I slept very well on Friday and Saturday night. I was exhausted from all that extra activity!! My daughter came up both days so we got some extra Anastasia time. I just love that festival!

Next year, we are trying to find a good hotel without the waterpark. We just don't use it. The resorts are really beautiful, but I don't think we need such a pricey room if we don't utilize all the amenities. We have a year to figure it out.

Today, I am relaxing. I am hurting a little from all that activity. No bleeding, just a little pain. Going to relax and let my body heal.

Happy Monday!

khufstetler, my mom is very sore and tired but doing okay. The first 2 weeks are supposed to be the worst. As for sleeping, I have a terrible time with that too. I do use an OTC sleep aid when it gets too bad. I've been trying different things to shut my brain down like naming a city for each letter of the alphabet...it helps turn the racing off..lol

I had great on-plan weekend. It's back to work though after 5 days off. There are a lot of temptations at work, but my lunch is packed and I'm feeling motivated. I have walking shoes in the car, so if the weather cooperates I'll take a walk on my lunch break.

Happy Monday everyone emoticon

MPOTTER- reading about your visit with your friend and the swim suit... I just realized last night that I am at the weight I was the last time I went to the beach in California. I PROUDLY wore a tankini and played all day with my son in the water. I walked past anorexically thin women covered up so know one could see their legs. But I was SOO grateful to not be 65 lbs heavier like I had been the year before that I felt great and happy. SO I wondered if iwould do it again today at this same weight.... hmmm I honestly do not know. I would repeat that day of course. But I have lost a little of that thrilled position and am more looking toward the lower scale numbers.
Also I have trouble sleeping. I have had to turn to guided meditations and nature sounds on Youtube. Otherwise my mind just races. If you find a good way to sleep without all that please let me know emoticon

WEEBOT- How is your mom doing?

SUMERONTHEBEACH-- keep at it girl! the scale will do that. I'm proud of you. emoticon

SANDY1380- great to have you back. It sounds like life is going on track for you! Good For you!!!

I'm having a low key day here too. Just hanging out at home with the hubby. I did go check in on my mom earlier and she's pretty tired and sore from the surgery. I'll spend some time with her tomorrow and make her dinner.

Mpotter, I love Christopher and Banks. Unfortunately, I had to drive in the opposite direction. I did find something at Kohls and Catos. I popped into Maurices but it was a bust. As I lose weight, and I will, I'll be visiting more thrift stores emoticon

Heading out today for a weekend with friends and family in the Wisconsin Dells for the Wha Zha Wa festival. I love walking around the craft show. There are also sidewalk sales and a swap meet section. Not sure if I can do all of that walking. If not, we have a very comfortable hotel room booked with an indoor waterpark. I plan to float around the lazy river and relax.

Was very tired yesterday, so I ended up not doing much and staying at home. I am still having trouble sleeping. I did some research last night, and it appears that it could be a side effect of my surgery. Some blogs were calling it a surgical menapause that does eventually correct itself. In the meantime, I will call my doctor this morning and plan to try using Luminite from GNC. It is an all natural, non addicting sleep aid that just helps you to relax.

My daughter and her family are coming up to the Dells today, and I may get a couple of hours of Anastasia time to myself :) She plans to introduce Derek and Anastasia to some family members that have not med them yet.

Have a great day!

Weebot - Clothes shopping can be hard. I found shopping at the right store can help. Christopher Banks was very helpful when I was gong through a similar situation.
Hope your mom is recovering well, and is doing ok.

I am having a horrible time getting to sleep these days!! Ugh..... Once I fall asleep, I am asleep for the night. I'm trying to get on a better schedule so it isn't as hard when I go back to work. But, if I can't fall asleep before 2 am....... I had heard somewhere that it takes up to two weeks for melatonin to start working. Maybe I'll give it an honest try.

Had a nice time at lunch yesterday. I met a girlfriend from school. About two years ago, we discovered that we only live about 75 minutes from each other. So, we try to find a place somewhere in the middle.

Had a very filling lunch, so I just steamed some rice and veggies for dinner. Worked on my cross stitch after that. This pattern has some embroidery stitches, so I worked on the lazy daisy stitches. The were a bit more difficult than I remembered. But, it has been many many years since I did embroidery.

Today, I am thinking about going to my knitting group for a couple of hours. Not sure yet. We will see if this tired fog lifts....

Enjoy your day!

khuffstetler, I think a lot of us have the same struggle. Holding on to the extra weight can be a security blanket. Be proud of yourself for trying to deal with it :)

My mom had surgery yesterday, so I spent most of the day on the run. Which ended in bad food choices and not enough water, which resulted in feeling blah and not sleeping well. Lesson learned ;)

I don't go back to work until Monday. So other than helping out my mom, I'm going to use this time to get organized at home, I also need to go clothes shopping and get an outfit for a work event. I will do my best to keep a positive attitude, since I haven't lost any weight it can easily get depressing.

Heading out today to visit with an old high school friend. I might do some shopping while in Tomah. I need a swimsuit for the weekend. I had ordered one over the weekend, but the tracking number shows that it won't be delivered until Tuesday. I'll have to check out the clearance racks.

Still having some sinus pain, but it seems a bit better this morning. Kat, my jaw pain is caused from sinus pressure. It only affects the top left. When the pressure is relieved, the pain goes away.

Started the dreaded backstitching on my cross stitch project. I am getting close to being done :)

Staying up too late these days. It's going to be really hard when I go back to work....

Relaxing this morning, then meeting up with a coworker for ice cream. I miss chatting with her. We used to work on the same machine together. While out that way, I will be running a few errands.

So sorry you are feeling scared KHUFSTETLER. That has been your skin and comfort zone. It is hard to let it go. But, you will feel healthier and more energized in the new skin that you will attain. Take a deep breath and push forward. You will be glad you did!

I'll be making a ravioli lasagna for dinner tonight. It has mushrooms in it, so hubby won't eat it. Then, it will be frozen in portions to be eaten later. I didn't eat all that great over the weekend, but at least I know I am staying steady. Just so hard when we have cookouts with all those leftovers.... I did a little bit better yesterday. One day at a time..

Cooler, damp temperatures are really messing with my sinuses these days. Hoping they start feeling better soon. Otherwise, I will be seeing my Doctor on Thursday morning. The worst part is the jaw pain on my left side. I have pain behind my eyes too, but the jaw pain seems worse.

Enjoy your day.

so I lost 10lbs last month. I have been depressed and of course the news cheered me up. (I only weigh once a month at the dr office) anyway what I found is I am having to try harder to do what is right for me. The urges for junk food are stronger than ever. Going for my miles walks several times a day or even one time a day is WORK to get me out the door.

So last night I journaled and asked myself why I am resisting going lower on the scale. From inside me somewhere I realized some fears attached to a smaller number on the scale. I was able to address those as NOT realistic and myth based.

Hopefully this will alleviate my fears and help me do hat is best for me not thwart me still.

Have any of you had fears or concerns about getting smaller?

It was such a beautiful day today!!!

I met a friend for an early lunch, and got to meet her adorable baby boy! What a cutie! I had my sister embroider and sew up a minky blanket, pacifier clip, and a wipes case. She loved them!

I tried jeans on this morning, and was so happy to see that they don't hurt anymore to wear them :) It felt so good to dress up nice for my lunch date :)

Relaxing tonight, and cross stitching. Enjoy!

Vicky, so glad to hear you are feeling better!

Weebot - We are also starting to see signs of the leaves changes. Just breaks my heart....

Had a good time visiting with a friend from work. We met a McDonalds so that her kids could play. So nice to get out for something besides the Dr and the grocery store!

I was pretty tired after that. The long day with my daughter here on Friday just wiped me out. I only visited for an hour, so after I short stop at the Dollar Store, I came home and took a 2 1/2 hour nap.

Other than that, I just relaxed. I was pretty tired. I even had to put my cross stitch away last night. I took out mistakes three times.

Hubby and I are doing laundry today, and I might make some no flour peanut butter cookies too.

Cooler temps, but still should be a nice day!

Vicky, glad you're feeling better.

We are having great weather today, in the 70s. I took advantage and went for a walk on our country road. There are definitely signs of fall all around.

We are doing family stuff this afternoon. I get to see one of my sons and his family. Love hanging out with my grandbabies:)

I hope everyone has a great start to the week.

Thanks for the words about me pulling a muscle or something. I've been feeling better the last couple of days. I've been trying to take it easy but it's been such a busy couple of days it's been hard. But I have not done anything strenuous so that's a plus.

We had the homecoming game at my kids school on Friday. The parade was in the afternoon and my youngest daughter was in it with the band. They looked so good. They also did their show performance at the football game that night and rocked it. I help haul instruments to the field. Then worked concession stand for a couple of hours.

The dance was last night. Both my girls looked amazing! It was Taylor's last homecoming dance since she's a senior. I only took 144 pictures. I always take a lot.

My oldest has a cross country meet yesterday morning too. It wasn't her best time but the route was awful. We had a lot of rain the day and night before so everything was so muddy. All the kids were covered after they raced. Our bus had to be towed out because the front end sank in the grass.

Hope everyone has a great day! Temp is going to be 80 today so it will be beautiful!

Spent the day with my daughter and her family yesterday. Hubby grilled barbecue chicken, and I made three salads. Watched a movie together after dinner, and cuddled with my granddaughter. She is getting so big. So amazing how fast they grow the first year. She started eating cereal this week, and is doing very well with it. And ver vocal about wanting more....LOL

Today, I am meeting with a friend from work at McDonalds for lunch. This way, we can visit and the kids can play in the playground. It is too wet to meet at the park we had originally planned. Feels great to be getting out again.

Making a turkey ravioli lasagna tonight for dinner. Hubby is helping his brother with his race car tonight, so it is the perfect time to make my meal with mushrooms in it!

Have a good day, and hopefully so sun comes out for a bit later!

Been having trouble falling asleep. Once I am asleep, I am good to go. Right now, it is not a big issue since I am not using an alarm clock. But, in four weeks it will be a big issue.

Made an easy variation of stuffed peppers last night for supper. They turned out really good, and I steamed some potatoes and green beans to with it. Yum!

Today, I am relaxing and cross stitching. I am making good progress on my pattern, and I can see the end. I just might finish it next week :)

Enjoy the day! Looks like rain here again tomorrow.

K-good luck with the job hunt.
Vicky-maybe you just aggravated some scar tissue. Good luck adjusting to the new schedule.
Michelle-woohoo for getting the driving restriction lifted.

It's been a stressful week and I'm not going to have a car for the next few days because there is something wrong with it. My dh will have to drive me to work and pick me up. I hate that stranded feeling. I pretty much blew my eating plan yesterday, but that was yesterday. Back on track today.

Good luck on the job!

I'm still struggling. I pulled something about a week and a half ago. Urgent care said no hernia but I'm still sore. Left a message for my doctor and haven't heard back. It's where my gallbladder used to be. It's been 8 months since it was removed. Hoping I didn't do anything but pull a muscle.

I'm going back to work full time next week. Not really looking forward to it. I liked have my Wednesdays to myself. The other woman in my office is getting laid off so I have to go back. She had an interview yesterday that went really well and it's half the commute she is making now. Hate to see her go, but at least I go back to my full time pay. My husband is happy about that.

I had my first post surgery appointment this morning. My incisions are all healing well. The pains I am having are all normal and will get better as I heal. Still no lifting over 10 pounds for the next four weeks. But, my driving restriction was lifted today! Yay! Got my independence back :) I also asked him about alcohol. I like to have a glass of wine with dinner occasionally. As long as I am not on the narcotics they prescribed in the hospital, I am good to go. I haven't taken them in at least a week.

i'm feeling a lot of pressure today but not sure why. I had a great morning. I asked my higher power to go with me throughout the day and then again asked when I went for a walk. As I approached a corner with a gas station I felt prompted repeatedly to go see if they were hiring. I gave in. When I got to the door there was a sign "now hiring. no experience needed" What a blessing!! I turn in my application to the hiring manager tomorrow. emoticon This would be an answer to prayer. My new roommate where I just moved in last Friday is moving out of state next month so my share of expenses goes up. I'm on disability so i need extra income and this might be it.

Having a good day cross stitching and feeling productive at it too! I get up once in a while to put something away, but otherwise just a relaxing day :)

I started tracking my food again today. I know I can't do too much for exercise, but would like to get my eating under control. I really haven't done too bad. I've stayed the same for the last month, but it is up from where it was 6 months ago. And... you always feel better when you eat better :)

It started raining here around 4:30 with thunder and all. Sounds like another one is on it's way in. My plants are happy. They were looking withered earlier today!

Vicky, sorry to hear about your daughter.

I was pleasantly surprised I still remember the basics of crocheting. Now I have to find a simple pattern, so I can practice for real :)

MPOTTER22-- I love to crochet as well. I have two blankets in the works. I was taught as a child and then have been relearning through youtube.

I heard a good speaker today. I will take his advice and vote myself off "someday Isle" and get over my "excuse-itis".

I have been wanting to write a retreat again for many years. It is time to take action.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day. Cardio coming up in a few minutes. emoticon

So sorry to hear about your daughter Vicky!! Hope she does not need surgery!

Yesterday, I was in mild pain all day. Since the surgery, if I have gas buildup or bowels, I have pain in my lower abdomen. I never had that before. Don't know if it was something I ate, or what. But, I was uncomfortable all day. Hopefully, today is better.

Had a nice day yesterday relaxing, but also felt productive in spurts. I made dinner, which was nice and turned out very well. It was a chicken gnocchi skillet, and was very easy. I sweetened it up by using sweet potato gnocchi and a butternut squash sauce I had on hand. Hubby really likes that sauce. I hope they sell it again this fall!

I did not sleep well again last night. I wonder if hubby is having allergy/sinus problems that are causing these hard breathing spells? He doesn't breathe out of his nose, so it is all out of his mouth, which I am sure makes it worse.

Today, I don't have much planned. Been getting some progress done on my cross stitch and have been enjoying it. But, hope to pick up a bit here and there too.

Hubby set my chair up in the yard yesterday for me so I can sit outside, and wrapped a tarp around it because we are calling for rain the next two days. Now, I won't be cooped up in the house :)

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! We went on a float trip. We had a great time then hit Elephant Rock on the way home. Walked around there and the kids climbed on the rocks for awhile. We should've stayed down there. My oldest daughter went to play basketball with her friends and the ball bounced back and hit her hand. She fractured it. She's at the orthopedic doctor right now. Praying for no surgery. She's in a brace right now.

I love crocheting. I'm working on an afghan on and off.

I'm trying not to labor too much on this labor day;) I'm just hanging out at home and doing some prep for the work week. I'm doing little spurts of walking to get my steps in.

I've been thinking about trying my hand at crocheting again. It's been a long time and I was never an expert, but it will keep my hands busy.

Started tracking my steps again, but not expecting too much. I still need the rest to recuperate. Funny how your body tells you when you have done too much. I am having trouble syncing my fitbit to the app again. Seems to happen all too often...

Not too much planned for today. Hubby is going to mow the lawn. I will finish up laundry and then I plan on making a gnocchi chicken skillet for supper. I need to use up the ground chicken since I thawed it yesterday.

Plan on relaxing with my cross stitch today. Maybe watch some of my shows on Netflix.

Happy Labor Day!

We ran our errands, but I was wiped before we got home. Just am not ready to do that yet. Didn't have a choice since we were in an area 45 minutes away. But, my body always tells me when to slow down. Spent the day reading and napping today, so much more relaxed.

Doing a little bit of laundry today, and hubby helped me pick up the kitchen floor. I had boxes, etc accumulating in front of the bakers rack. Feels good to have that space opened up again. And I swept the floor. The tile in there is pretty easy to sweep, so exertion.

I think we will be watching a movie tonight. Hubby would like to see Eddy the Eagle. We watched Batman vs Superman last night. We were not impressed. Too much going on, so it was very hard to follow. It finally got good for the last half hour...

Not much else to report, just being lazy :)

Maybe I was sensing the turbulence a few days ago. I found out later that night that my disability check was cut in half for medical purposes. I had to find a new place to move within 2 days. But God is good and everything worked out VERY well.

We are having gorgeous weather! So today is unpacking, walking again for cardio, and back to healthy foods -- just got back from grocery store. Life is truly wonderful at this very moment.

looking for friends to connect with, get to know, and encourage each other along this journey. :-)

Had a horrible night's sleep on Thursday night. Hubby came home, and I could not sleep. Then, hubby started breathing hard. When I did finally fall asleep, I woke up sweating horribly!! Then, hubby started his twitching! Off to the couch I went.... But, I don't handle that a lot. So, I was tired all day yesterday, even with a nap. Slept great last night :)

Heading to Kohl's today to pick up some yoga pants. Jeans are still a little too restrictive and hurt my incision sites. Ordered them online, so they should be ready. We might check out a consignment shop while in Stevens Point too.

Today is the day that I told hubby is my day. Tomorrow, he will be going to his brother's to work on his truck. He had planned on doing that on Friday, but found out his brother had strep throat. He decided he would wait a few days!

I cancelled our camping trip for this weekend, unfortunately. It is my favorite park. It is a county park with only 20 sites and a fantastic view. After talking to them, we decided to go next month instead.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!

HI everyone. Trying to get back to normal. Pulled a muscle lifting a cooler that was way too heavy in my car last weekend. Finally starting to feel better today. Looking forward to a long weekend. We're going floating. I'm not really the camping type but I love the floating part. Trying to finish the housework and pack tonight, think I'll have to finish tomorrow. At least I get off at noon tomorrow.

Spent the day reading yesterday. I read a whole book and started another one last night. It feels so good to do the things I enjoy that work does not allow. Made myself some tortellini for dinner using some sauce my daughter made last week when she made lasagna. I'm doing pretty good for the most part. I didn't have enough pain to take any pain meds all day.

Today, my daughter and her family are coming up. I have a list of chores for them to do when they get here, and they are taking me to the grocery store to do my weekly shopping. It's always a good day when I see Anastasia emoticon I plan to take some Advil shortly before we leave to keep my discomfort down. Too much walking can cause some discomfort. Haven't done a lot since Saturday, but want to keep it under control.

Going to try and plan some healthier meals next week. I'm not ready to track yet, but just want to start making healthier choices. The scale is staying steady, so that is good. I am happy with that.

I understand the struggle for balance. I struggle for that while working. Just no time for anything but work and sleep. I get so tired sometimes, I do a lot of binge eating also.

Spending the day with Netflix while cross stitching. Yesterday, I finished my book and relaxed. I had a horrible headache when I went to bed. So, I started another book, took some meds, and then rested. It was after midnight by the time I fell asleep. I really can't stay on this sleep schedule. It will make it that much harder when I go back to work and the 2 am alarm clock!

Trying to get my morning routine back, so I did my normal chores this morning. I need to locate the two wheel dolly we have so I can take the garbage and recycling to the road for tomorrow morning. But, I can relax for a bit right now. Other than, just fix myself some dinner.

So glad the humidity dropped. It is beautiful outside. Wish I could get to my lounge chairs for outside. They are buried. I would love to sit outside.

I've been full of anxiety for days but it's gotten out of hand. Binged on junk food yesterday then walked and walked to try to make up for it. Today anxiety thru the roof again. Wanted to drink real bad. Or binge. Restricted instead.

After an outreach call was able to eat some veggies. Just needing balance.

Debbie - What app are you using? Might want to look into it after recovering from surgery.

We are supposed to go camping this weekend to my favorite park - Dells of Eau Claire in Aniwa. The view is just spectacular!! But, I will wait a couple more days before I make my decision. If I were to base it today, I would say we will go. But, I want to be sure. I can sit in a lawn chair just as well as a recliner! And it is so relaxing :).

I finally got some good sleep! The last three days were horrible. But, with hubby gone, I could stretch out and use the whole bed....LOL Shhhhh, Don't tell him that. emoticon

I had a nice visit with my daughter yesterday with Anastasia. She was in a good mood for a bit, and has started reaching for toys on her play mat. She is getting so big! But, she is really teething right now. I hope those poor little teeth cut through soon.

Spent time last night downloading all the photos of Anastasia from my daughter, her boyfriend, and myself. I have a jump drive I will transfer to and would like to plug into one of my digital frames. The hard work is done. Now, if I can keep up with it.....

Today will be a day by myself. I am looking forward to it. I plan to do some reading, cross stitching, and probably a nap. emoticon

Hi everyone. I am slowly getting back into the exercise world. I put an app on my phone and I have been walking every day for the last 7 days (no days off). It is only 15-18 minutes a day but baby steps. By the end of 12 weeks I will be walking 60 minutes a day and then I hope to move onto the running part of the app. I was never a runner but I would like to give it a try.

School starts one week today for my step daughter (she's 11 - going into 5th grade). I am hoping for a good year - hoping she get up and moving better than last year (lol - right).

Boyfriend is doing good - but now his knees are bothering him. Waiting to get into see the Urologist about his Kidney and then hopefully can look into seeing someone about his knees. It's been a long road and he has a long way to go but he's doing good.

Talk to you soon,

Debbie
