It's completely the opposite in Cali. It's been about 100 deg here and 107 with my parents. Yet, being outdoors they still don't complain as chores must get done. I'm finally whining because of the heat. Before I could walk anytime I wanted and now I have to plan ahead to do it in the morning or late evening.
I had a nice mini-vacation. We took off before the sun came up on Sunday to reach our new hiking destination. It wasn't that steep but my calves are kind of messed up again. It's hard to stop when you're in that momentum and just want to keep going. I also think partly to blame is the extra steps I did the next day. Our lodge was way higher up and town was below nearby. There are very steep steps to take as a short cut and I could barely do these until now. Of course got a nice surprise shock from hubby who runs up and down on these steps when I offered that we walk to town. Just came back yesterday evening.
Sorry about your bike Staystrick. I'm glad the bike's working again and sorry about the rain.
If you want to send the rain this way, we'll be very thankful. emoticon emoticon

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Staystrick, you are awesome! Good luck keeping up with it.

I didn't do much past my morning exercise - I kept dozing off! Today, I'm feeling a little more active. I've done some vacuuming and plan to do more.

Good morning! I'm glad that you got your bike fixed, Staystrick! I was lucky with the weather yesterday: in addition to getting in my long walk before the rain in the morning, I walked to and from an activity in the late afternoon - and, despite the weather online saying it would be dry, it rained about 15 minutes after I got home. In buckets! So I was definitely glad to have made it! but annoyed with the weather site!

I've been for a fairly long walk today - it's is fairly cool and a little misty, so it was a nice walk.

Have fun, everyone!

My website is http://www.pamperedchef.biz/dianesgreenkit
chen. Look at "shop online", then choose the second option (there's no party for this sale). At the bottom of the row of links is "Outlet Specials" - and they really are pretty special. I've had people get giddy about what they've found today! Thanks for asking.

Good luck getting the bike fixed - I hope that works out well and you get your exercise in I need to get out of my rut - do some yoga (my sister is doing extreme yoga - I know I'm not up for that, but I have some videos I haven't done in a few years).

DIANETT thanks, I should be getting my bike fixed after work and may be able to make my daily ride. I'm hoping so anyway. I think I found something I really like in this bike rideing. How do I find your Pampered chef website or facebook?

Bummer, Staystrick! I hope it is inexpensively fix-able and that you can find ways to keep moving despite that. I tend to get into ruts (well, I have enough to think about!), when there are lots of things that can be fun. Today, I'm just glad I did SOMETHING (long, fast walk, about 5 miles) before the rains! I don't know how long it'll last, but it was pretty heavy a minute ago.

I started this a while back, but keep getting distracted by traffic on my Facebook over the Pampered Chef Sidewalk Sale that is in progress. I'm a consultant and a couple of friends and my sister have been messaging me repeatedly. So, a reasonable amount of business, but not millions in commission (yet!).

But it's raining steadily, so, again, I'm glad I got in my walk earlier.

That's great, JuliePizz! I visit my local Farmers' Market most Saturdays - it's much smaller, but it was really busy today - a beautiful day with lots of summer produce coming in. I got blackberries, but was too late for blueberries.

I also got peaches and peppers and tomatoes and cucumbers and milk and goat cheese. Very satisfactory. I leave when I run out of money or hands to carry my bags.

I hope your Saturday is wonderful. I took the kids to Eastern Market this a.m....just after sunrise. It is in historic downtown Detroit in the old warehouse district. It was a great experience. The beautiful flowers, herbs, fruits and vegetables- the sights, sounds and smells. We enjoyed our dinner with the freshest salad, sweet corn, herb potatoes and peaches! As we ate we spoke of how grateful we were for the farmers and the care they gave to our food! emoticon emoticon

You're very welcome, Staystrick! Sometimes one needs to see something from a different perspective for communication to happen - we don't always grasp things when they're stated one way. Good luck!

Thanks, JuliePizz - have a wonderful day and weekend, yourself!

Staystrick, I have risen, but the shining - well, it's dark and drippy here! With a thunder rumble every few minutes. I will do my best, though!

Sorry Staystrick, I haven't used the mountain-bikes either. I barely use my bike which is sitting at my parents garage. Why don't you post a comment on the general discussion so everyone can see it and someone will have an answer?

Sorry about the weight scale not moving. We're here for you. Just sent you an email.

Staystrick: what tools are you using? How are you doing on your food choices and tracking? The combination of diet and exercise is really useful: I don't know if I could lose much just on calorie restriction - but I know that it would be easy to eat enough that I could still gain on an hour or so of exercise per day.

Have you tried the Calorie Differential over Time (under "Reports" in the "My Trackers" tab)? I pay a lot of attention to that, especially if I've had a day when I didn't get much exercise (although I try to get my 10,000 steps every day, at LEAST) or had a lot to eat. I can understand you being frustrated, but I know that you're adding exercise, so I'm asking about how the food is going and how often you exercise. Trying to do at least something every day is really key, I think (after all, you eat every day!). You can send me an email if you don't want to discuss this in public, but I really want you to make progress and I'm not sure why you're stuck.

Staystrick: it's been a VERY long time, but my recollection is that the gear is a tradeoff: the higher the gear, the more you push but the fewer pedal revolutions you have to make to go a certain distance. So, on the flat, you can use a high gear to push harder and more slowly to go fast, but going up a hill, you would still want the pedals to go around, but you can't go as fast, so you need to drop to a lower gear. HOW low depends on the steepness of the hill and how hard you're willing to work and how fast you want to go. There's no shame in first gear! Sometimes you need to drop into first in the car, too, if you're in hilly country. Good luck and have fun!

JuliePizz - that's great. Also, the realization that it REALLY doesn't work helps quite a bit. Sometimes I go ahead and overeat, but usually it's for festive occasions, although sometimes if's a "tired" thing. And to keep track, because it makes a difference whether you have 500 extra calories or 1500. Every day is new, and if today isn't great, tomorrow can be - the self-loathing from emotional or exhaustion eating messes with that, too.

You are getting so close! This is awesome.

Yummy motivation! HEY DIANETTE you're so good at this you know what works when u need it. This makes me think of my motivations and my reactions.
As I get close to my weight loss goals I want to start making mental awareness red flags about my triggers- things that make me lack motivation or fall off my lifestyle paths.
I see on the messageboards- from every team on SP, that many people emotional eat. I don't eat when I am emotional- well not like a go to fix me up.
I do think I was down and unmotivated so I did whatever I wanted when it came to calories.

That being said...I do think I do use stress, overwhelming or negitive life situations as an excuse to eat poorly. Ugh, Im Too busy, too over tasked, too over scheduled....we are going out to get fast food or a high calories quick solution. But here's the cycle, did I keep myself in that danger zone so I didn't have to change those easy fixes? Now I plan ahead to anticipate this excuse.

Good Morning, Staystrick

The new members have been posting their introduction on the other forums besides using the Introduction Forum. So that made it kind of 'disappear' off the radar. Lol. I got it back for you.

Pie sounds so good right now. Yumm!! Dianett, your post came at a perfect time as I couldn't decide what to take to my friends as I'm getting ready to take off.
Also, if you're feeling tired, it could be from the weather change. I'm used to it now and just let it happen. I get tired from the temp change and really worn out (and not just the mood) when it changes from sunny to cloudy.

Actually, I think I need to make cupcakes. And maybe pie. But I don't know if I'll have enough people to help me eat both, so maybe just the cupcakes. Mini, of course, for portion control!

Good Afternoon everyone! Today is my second full day on the organization program...I feel so motivated and my self esteem is really growing! I even lost another pound this a.m. I think my mind and body are decluttering along with my life! I can feel the self imposed stress and guilty thoughts of perfectionism slipping away! I put my house on a diet. And I have more time and more energy- yet I get 5 x 's the tasks/ accomplishments done? Heehee!
I do think clutter attracks clutter ...and positive actions attrack positive energy! This is my next step- more improvements to establish that I will keep up the SP lifestyle and maintain my goals in weight loss. I needed to address things that made me feel negative about myself so I won't slip backwards and self loath into weight gain numbness! emoticon

Connie you already know the drill for setting up including logging food and exercise. Please join us on our message boards for support. Also, if you're interested there are other teams in SP related to knitting you may be interested. Let me know.

I'm so happy for you, Julie Pizz! In fact, I may choose to find you inspiring. When I was actively losing, I paid more attention to SP and included "tidy up for 15 minutes" as a daily goal. But I've gotten lazy about those "other goals" - especially the "tidy up" one! I still do m 10-minute video and exercise every day, but that - not so much. Heaven knows, there's plenty to do!

So, keep us updated, please, on how that's working out for you.

Okay...that's really helpful. I was tracking so many things in so many different places...I started spending too much time on this instead of actually getting it done! Stalling?! Or just overly committed- emoticon but this seems to satisfy my goals and join in the team's too.

Rats. I wrote a long response, then navigated away to check something, not opening a new window, which I thought I was.

Anyway: No, while there is no direct correlation between step number and miles, for me, 2000 steps approximately equals 1 mile. And I can do it in 15 minutes or 25, depending on how hot it is and whom I'm with.

As for counting all steps vs. fitness steps: that's your personal goal to decide upon. I wear my Nano from, essentially, the time I get up 'til the time I go to bed, with pretty much just a break while I shower after my exercise. I think part of the point of "10,000 steps a day" as a challenge (as opposed to designated fitness time) is that it encourages seizing "healthy opportunities", such as parking farther away at the supermarket (which, I admit, I mostly do to have my car in the shade, but the steps are a bonus).

But how you count is totally up to you. If you actually DO 10,000 steps of fitness time, you're getting more steps than are being counted for the challenge, which means that you don't look as good on the leader board, but actually look better in real life, because you're getting more exercise. So, it's all about how you're looking at it: you're shortchanging yourself online credit but getting bonus exercise.

The other thing I mentioned in my lost comment was that LovelyPampa has been moving our team goal: she started at 300,000 steps in the month, which I told her would be blown out of the water (I and at least one other person on the board have that many as individuals already), and is now up to 2.7 million for the team/ month.

Sure, play along whether you have a pedometer or not, or you could get an inexpensive one for less than $20. I got one free with a diet cookbook, back in the day.

Re: step challenge-I didn't enter yet- I haven't got a step counter or fitbit still..I even think my nikes have a built in one, but I just haven't managed this area in my fitness routine : (
Do you have a 40/40 team standard rule of thumb for miles or minutes converted to steps....so I can join in? I only track my fitness/walking/steps not my daily steps? Am I short changing myself or is this a personal preference?
I thought I saw on SP boards: 20 mins or 1 mile= 100 steps? emoticon

Hi, Connie! Yes, it's good not to go overboard: hurting or exhausting yourself is not sustainable, you'll end up skipping days and then - who knows?

We have a 5000 step per day challenge on this team, so you could start with that, in addition to your swimming and see how it works. To join the challenge, go to the page for the Spark team, then, below all of the team fora, find the "Team Goals" and join it. Then it will show up under the Trackers tab under "Other Goals", so you can enter your info each day. Or, you know, whenever - I get around to it every few days.

For the Trackers, JuliePizz started the directions partway through (I'm always confused about where to find this, so I need more directions than most, perhaps!): it's not from the "Community" tab that is always at the top of your page, it's from your Start page, then on the upper left, it says something like "Email/ Account Preferences, right under your name. Click on that, THEN follow the Community link, and JuliePizz's directions.

Good luck, stick around - we're all about sustainability and baby steps. The key is that we're not in a race: we want to reach our goal and STAY there (or, at least, only go up and down a little bit from there; holidays and stressful times happen!), and encouragement from one another really helps.

emoticon Welcome! I am so glad you are here! You are beginning a wonderous journey and we are here to help! You are definately in a great place. Take baby steps. Leaving the soda behind is the best thing for you! A really good choice.
My advice-( I started SP in mid April desperate and low with 25lbs to lose and no energy to do it!). Use the nutruition tracker even if it takes some time and patience- it is a great tool to keep your calories in check. Don't get overwhelmed with fitness. Try 20 mins. of swimming a day to start. Some SP teammates dance to favorite songs to get their steps in. Enjoy your new outlook and lifestyle...you deserve it!
The tracker is our ticker, it is added something like: ...go into community...my signature and ticker...yes add ticker to messageboard...edit my ticker...choose background....etc.

I am new to sparkpeople and I am 40 years old, and I weigh around 172 (I went to weigh myself and my battery was dead on my scale) but it's around 172. I have a 4 foot pool out back and I want to start doing pool exercises. I normally drink around 6 dr peppers a day (no joke) but tomorrow that stops and I switch to tea. I have crones disease so I don't have tons of energy but I have to do something. I have a pedometer and the suggested walking time is 10,000 steps, if I swim too what is a good step to keep. I don't want to over do it and kill my joints. The depression is killing me and so is the weight so I have to do something about it. Any suggestions would be great for a person obese and just starting out. Also how do you get the tracker that most have at the bottom of there post. That would keep me motivated :)

emoticon we volunteered for and walked a 5k charity event this a.m. Our team was walking for my youngest son who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last August at the age of 11! He did great despite the 90 degree heat and didn't get fatigued-since he is in remission from his flare up. We met so many inspiring people; and he says to tell the Sparks teams...if he can get his buns moving, then so can you! Lol : )

Well, I mowed the front lawn and am done for now - it is horribly hot out. It was a LOT of work (in addition to the heat): I was cutting an inch and a half or so off the blades of grass and that's a lot to push through.

This is what happens when you go on vacation AND it rains at home, so the lawn grows a ton in a week.

The back should be easier, but I am worn out for the time being.

Hi all. emoticon Lovely Pampa I dreaded adding strength training at first. My football son told me to keep it really simple because there are so many things you can do. I targeted my jiggly areas. It took a week to sink in and see that it helps. Now I feel cheated if I don't do my arms-bell curls, my 50 pushups and my 100 crunches everyday. It's a habit I do first thing and that is a big fitness √ I get done before breakfast.
My mini goal is to do a cartwheel on the fourth of July! Lol. Really! emoticon

Yeah, I understand all that but it's lack of motivation. It just doesn't appeal to me and it's boring. Lol. But I know I must do them as I'm getting comfortable in my exercises and looking forward to step up my exercises so I can 'burn' some more calories.

Staystrick: no, I'm visiting St. Simons Island, not too far from you! I live in a totally landlocked state.

LovelyPampa: the weights BUILD muscle, so they burn calories ALL the time, not just when you're being active. That argument got me to start with the weights from the beginning.

Good morning Staystrick and Dianett

Awesome walk Staystrick. Burn those calories away. Yeah it can get a little sore at the end but doesn't it feel great to accomplish it. So, now that we're walking together at the 10K to 15K steps level, should be push for more? We can do it! I know we can. It's just a matter of prioritizing our time. I'm so happy for you.

Sorry about the rain Dianett. But cool that you already got your steps in. Nothing to brag about but I tried a few dumbbell (it was collecting dust) exercises this week so it's already helping. I wanted to do the cardio first because I wasn't motivated to do the strength exercises. It's time. Baby steps otherwise I lose interest.

Hi, everyone! we're waiting to go to lunch (tearful conversation between old friends upstairs, while I check in on the outside world downstairs), but who knows how it will work - it's pouring outside as well as being a bit soggy inside!

But today I walked south for about 3 miles, then came back (breakfasted) and picked up my travel friend for another walk north to the beach where we swam, then walked back. The my travel friend's old friend arrived before we were expecting her (I think there was some mis-communication there!) and they've been talking - while this storm moved in!

So, up 'til now for today, I have over 16,000 steps. There may not be many more, if the weather doesn't clear up!

Congrats on your long walk, Staystrick! That's awesome. Going further CAN result in fatigue and (later) stiffness, but, of course, the best way to work out the stiffness is to go for another walk (possibly a shorter one, though, I do have some mercy).

Take care, everyone!

Hi, everyone! Lovely Pampa, I was hoping to beat your step total from the beach, but my Nano reset itself for the day and my steps were lost! I know I got 19,000 (I did check at various points during the day), but don't know if I made the 20,000 that eluded you.

Hi, TREED 1967! Try to set other food goals besides calories - preferably positive ones. I aim for 25g of fiber and 60g of protein, both of which are important for good health. It will give you clues as to WHAT you should eat, as well as reminding you that you need to do so. For example, if you're not getting enough fiber (and most Americans aren't), have a raspberry smoothie or a Fiber Plus bar for breakfast. If you're not getting enough protein, have a Greek yogurt with your raspberries (I'm having blackberries and strawberries with Greek yogurt for my breakfast tomorrow!), or get a protein bar (but most Americans get more protein than they need; it is important to get some throughout the day, but too much causes kidney problems, so I think it's better to aim towards the low side of the SP targets).

And the other thing is that the goal is sustainability. I budget my calories during the day so that I can have dessert, because I love sweets and allowing myself to have a certain amount for dessert helps me to stay on track during the day for the long term.

Good luck!

Hi and emoticon TREED1967. I must've missed you on the introduction forum. Sorry about that. Bad habits definitely die hard. Mine are mostly dead especially the really bad ones like eating junk food or not exercising. Ever since I started walking like only a month and half ago I feel healthier. I've started a walking program if you're interested. Check it out on our main team forum towards the bottom under Team Goal called '5,000 steps per day'. There's no competition but with yourself and it doesn't have to be 5k. You just start at your own pace and keep increasing the steps. Any pedometer will do. I was only doing 3k but my avg is 10k these days.
I used to skip breakfast too or my worst habit was head over to Starbucks. I had to pass 4 of them before I made it to work. It was a killer not to give in on a daily basis. I used to give in and worse part was my boss loved it too and didn't mind if I was late as she wanted Starbucks also. (she paid for it..lol).
I knew I was taking in too much of everything but it didn't have any meaning to it until I started to log my food. That's when I realized and started to try to stay within the calorie and especially for me the carb range.
Have you setup the weight goal tracker yet? Please do that so it'll help you stay at a certain range so you can start working on the nutritions.

Thanks, Staystrick. But I really have to push myself as although I'm motivated to walk but the body just wants to be lazy and not do anything. The body is winning so far. Hey, how about trying the SP exercise videos. Trust me, the videos will make you sweat. Hubby have it set so I can log the videos from our TV so he tried one. It was a simple workout about 20min. Now, he's very fit (and fine too..lol) but he was sweating after 10min. I forget the name but search for any exercises you're interested in and just try it out. Dianett is right about doing the exercises and how effective they are. I'm glad I always listen to her.

LOVELYPAMPA great job on the 19,223 steps. It's been raining here for the last three days so I've been using that as an excuse not to do anything. I'm working from home today so may I can get some home workout in. I was on a steady roll with out door walking. Blah so gloomy out.

Hubby and I went out to the beach all day on Saturday and had a wonderful time with awesome dinner and didn't get home until close to midnight. I did 19,223 steps. I couldn't believe it.
Also, I wasn't paying attention to my steps count and forgot that I get a badge on my Fitbit for 20K steps. I was this close! Sigh. But it was an awesome day for both of us. I felt really great!
And Sunday I left early for mom-n-dad because we were planning on going somewhere and guess who the designated driver was. That's right and total 6hrs driving yesterday. I barely did any steps and didn't care for the first time either as I enjoyed my time with them.
Today I don't have any excuse but just feeling kind of blah. Maybe tired from the weekend perhaps. I can't even blame Tom. Trying to make it a relaxing all day.
There's always tomorrow. emoticon

KSTonya - I didn't see the headache message, I'm sorry! Are you drinking plenty of water? That's the only headache remedy I have (besides sleep and an Aleve!). I mostly get headaches from caffeine withdrawal (so I try not to drink caffeine very often), but I know many people have lots of other triggers. If you're having them frequently, you should see a doctor - but something else that often helps me is a walk in the fresh air. You shouldn't keep pushing really hard, if you're in a lot of pain, but keeping moving gently can make one feel better.

Good wishes for ENJOYABLE exercise!

Hi KSTONYA

Regarding "exercising getting bored having bad headache" message you wrote yesterday morning on the huddle.

How is your headache? Any better? If you had written your message here, we would've picked it up sooner and provided support for more exercise ideas also.

Hope you have a good headache-free rest of the weekend.

That's great, that you were able to help that mother and child, KSTonya! Sadly, there are no tests one needs to pass in order to become a parent - often times, the state results from people NOT having a plan!

Sometimes backs can be pretty fussy, even if one lifts with one's legs. Avoiding putting stress on the back is probably a big savings in workers' comp! I know that automating the pick-up of trash and recycling bins have saved tons of money (in saved workers' comp) in some cities.

We were taught in School to lift with our legs not our backs. Back then the cots had drop down wheels so you had to raise them from the ground quickly to about chest high if you did not do it fast enough the wheels would not click then you either had to go back down and do it again or the person working the foot of the cot had to kick the legs to engage them. Now the newer cots that the Local EMS uses has a release that will raise the cot without lifting. I guess they had others who did not lift right and have back issues. I no longer do that job but I have had to call upon my medical knowledge just last week I come across a desperate mother whose baby had started seizing from running a high temp. Some mothers who have no proper medical plans do not realize that an Infant with a high temp is bad. The local EMS was called and they took over care of the infant and I continued on to my volunteer job at the Sheriff office.

LovelyPampa, it sounds like a really good walk! Sometimes company slows you down, sometimes it speeds you up.

KSTonya, I agree with you on shoes. I do not know that I have great shoes, but I certainly know when bad shoes have an exhausting effect. I get much less tired with some arch support. That's amazing, that you could be required to move something that weighed as much as you did! I'm sure there's a knack to it, but it also probably helped with your fitness, too.

Yes even though you might have to pay a few dollars more for Good shoes it is important to get the proper shoes etc for each exercise.

I like the Danskin or similar shoes. The Arch supports I found at Walmart for 10 they had one that is just for the heel and they other that goes up to the arch. These kind I can feel the arch in the shoe. If you have a flat foot or high arch getting the right support is important.

I used to work EMS and we walked a lot and had to pick up different weights up to 150+ pounds and as I was only 150 that was interesting.

It has cooled down a bit here too. I had a good walk too but it was yesterday. Very nice breeze. I was walking at my own pace (and daydreaming) and here comes my favorite person to push me. So, I had to try to keep up with my hubby and all those daydreaming instantly disappeared. It turned out to be a really good workout with a little over 11K steps.

Good Morning everyone. emoticon

Have a great weekend Dianett and Staystrick. emoticon

I got a good walk this morning - it's been cooler than recent days. I'm still eating leftover party food, but trying to keep the nutritional goals.

I hope that everyone has a good day and a great weekend! Find those healthy opportunities and have a great time.

Thanks, Staystrick. It's turning out better than I expected. Hopefully we'll burn calories while laughing or facial exercises from smiling. Lol

Although I slept good but just kept waking up last night. So I put my mind to use and I just opened up a New Cafe for fun to talk about anything.

Hi KSTONYA, it's good to hear from you. You're right about the comfortable shoes. Many (many) years ago I used to wear just tennis shoes or whatever shoes so long as it fits and comfortable to wear. My feet were always kind of tired after every workout, walking, or playing tennis and I always assumed it was from working out too much.
So I never said anything until one day. I spoke to my hubby and mentioned about how my feet get tired or worn out like they've been working out too much. He took me to a small walking shoe store. They measured my feet and looked at my high arch. I told them to make sure the shoes are extra wide. OMG! From that day onwards, doesn't matter what type of exercise even though it's walking shoes, my feet have been so happy. My body gets tired but my feet don't even know what tiredness means. And yes, I've tried the arch support but didn't like the feel of it. So, yeah they're very pricey. But you have to be smart. I know what size fits me so I shop around. My favorite brands are Brooks and Asics. You gotta try it.

I had to use the arch supports in place of expensive shoes also I can move the supports to different shoes. I have a high arch and I can feel the difference when I am tired.

I have tried to check in when I see someone has posted new posts, but when I click the recent posts link the the list does not have the posts that are most recent on top I have to check everyone to see if their has been any posts.

I weighed in the same this week which I expected as I had missed several days of exercising. We have been busy with my work, and other events that I did not get home in time to work out.

KSTonya - well, you may not be able to COUNT it, literally, but your body knows! The point of counting is to try to be sure that you're burning more calories than you're eating - and even if you don't have a way of literally counting, your metabolism will know what's going on and you should see change. It's most useful if you THINK you're doing everything right but not seeing results - being able to measure (both food and exercise) can point out if you're not as far on the right side of the equation as would give you faster results. Or to use as a baseline and increase activity or decrease calories so you WILL get the results that you want.

I hope that you can get your sinus troubles fixed and I'm glad to see you back - we've missed you!

I was reading Staystuck do you have proper shoes if you don't that might be your calf pain problem. I have arch supports in all my shoes If you wear heels then flats your calves will have problems.

I was just thinking I am forgetting some of my exercise times. My husband and I go shopping every week on Thursdays and walk around the store while our friend is deciding on what to buy. We visit 2 different stores then he takes us to dinner at Cici's Pizza. I have loaded the SP food tracker on my phone and enter the foods I eat and that has helped me not over eat. They don't allow take homes though they have carry out but its one or the other not both.

I see the Doctor this afternoon for some sinus issues and the last week I have had so many outings that I have not been able to do my 40 minutes on the stationary bike every night. I would like to get a pedometer but would have to get 2 so my husband can have his own. I walk a lot for different activities so I have no way to track the steps.

Weather here is to be in the upper 90's for the next week or so and it has made riding my bike nice to bad I cannot count bike riding as exercising as just using wrist and ankle movements, but riding in the heat should count some I wish.

Well today is laundry day so walking to basement and back several times.
