This is a great site. Definitely participate in the teams, but my advice would be to find a few that really work for you and stay plugged in.
Also, start with the nutrition tracker. And, since you'll be a the Y for your son, perhaps look into a program for you that fits the time he'll be there. I love tracking my exercise in the fitness tracker - it's gives me warm fuzzies to see the week in review.
