My non-scale victory today is going for a walk during lunch instead of eating and then going back to my desk to surf the net for the rest of my hour. That's big for me because I'm always saying "tomorrow I'll walk", but today I finally did it! It felt good, too so I'm packing my sneakers for tomorrow.

Jenna, I am proud of you for walking every day! I started to do that on working days - my goal is 100 km in May. I did well for now! I can relate to your story because of that! Keep on going! :)

My non- scale victory for today was that I went to shopping that I dont like and bought 2 T-shirts for the summer and I really hate shopping! So I think I did great for today! :) I almost did not go to the mall! Now I am so happy because of it! emoticon

My most recent nonscale victory is that I played a full game of kickball this past Saturday. I went 1 for 2 (we had a lot of people playing) and I scored a run.

I can actually exercise for an hour and I feel good afterward. I couldn't have done that six months ago.

I'm somewhat glad I didn't have a scale when I started this past week. I think it will take my body a little time to really get going into fat burning mode... it might think it's starving right now LOL!

So I just ordered a new scale, but I'm not going to weigh myself til about 2 weeks in so I can see a little progress and not get discouraged that I've been doing all this for nothing.

I know it's not for nothing, and I know i'm going to lose this weight. Sometimes I wish the time would go faster so I could see it coming off, but it's gonna take time. I am just trying to build up strength and stamina, not pushing myself too hard exercising... like yesterday my back started to act up before I could go out for my walk. I've walked every day this week, I'm not going to hurt myself over missing one day... if I do I'll miss a lot more than a day.

I'm happy I got my exercise ball so I can do some physical therapy type stuff inside too, and that will help on rainy days. The weather is still flipping back and forth, sometimes it's hot sometimes it's cold and windy or rainy. I can't wait for it to stay warm, even if it's too hot I'm looking forward to walking at night.

Well my non-scale victory this week, is actually getting out and walking everyday. Even one day I really didn't want to, later on I got motivated and went out anyways.

I know this is a TMI thing but the simplist thing as in cleaning after restroom break has become much easier just losing a minimal amount of weight. I am so excited to so what is the next NSV around the corner for me.

Awesome idea! The scale is one of my greatest enemies when I am trying to lose weight. If I get a bad reading it tends to throw me off my game and to negate all the positive things I have accomplished
I have no real victories for today, but yesterday was pretty cool. There is one particular hill on my walking route that I have never been able to walk all the way up without stopping. I beat that hill yesterday!

I like this idea, My non scale victory is that I have been to the gym 2 days this week and done strength both days.

I wanted to start a thread of non scale victories cause these are the real motivators. Sometimes the scale does not move and we get discouraged but we need to focus of the little...."Yes I can" or "I am awesome" moments that we face everyday. It does not matter how little it may seem to others. It can be as small as moving from one end of the house to the other or as little as organizing your fridge or pantry. I am no expert but I do know that one baby step can lead to a mile.

My non scale victory is.........I now exercise 4 days a week. I am in amazement at this cause I was so sedentary. I keep pushing for my health.
