My go to snack is greek yogurt and fruit. It's filling enough to get me from one meal to the next and it's sweet enough to curb those cravings.

my most favorite snake is a cheese string and an apple with a bottle of water. it is for me filling and keeps me going. I also have a "back up" pack in my car with snacks if I get hungry or tempted to stop at fastfood - - nuts, small canned in water peaches, soy protein bar, skinny cow treat and in my lunch bag daily i add an extra piece of fruit that is not on my meal plan in case it is a " hungry day". that way i am not tempted to cheat too badly.

Great idea! My favorite on the go snack is my own roasted almonds. High protein and low carbs. Just dont eat too many at once. I buy a big bag of raw almonds from Costco. Roast them in the toaster oven at 450 degress for ten minutes. They are delicious, no salt and all. Sometime I add craisins for a ltlle sweetness and contrast in the texture.

I can do it!

As I am changing my eating habits, I am always on the lookout for new foods (especially ones that are quick and require minimal prep, since I am a busy gal) to add to the list of delicious AND healthy foods I create my meals or snacks out of. I thought it would be great to have a thread where we could share things we have found with each other to help expand the menu lists. Here are my two new favorites after my most recent shopping trip:

1) Fiber One 80 Calorie Honey Squares Cereal - Seriously, this is my new favorite thing. I have it with almond milk in the morning or just carry a ziploc bag of it to eat dry at work. One 3/4cup serving has only 80 calories (hence the product name) and 10 grams of fiber (which is something I always struggle to eat enough of)
2) Earthbound Organic Caramel Apple Crunchers - 60 Calories, 0 grams of fat, real apples, super delicious.
