We all do that. Make it mandatory that you hit the elliptical for 10 minutes a night if you decide that you want to quit after that allow yourself to but if you decide to continue keep going my bet is you will keep going 9 times out of 10 that is how I am if I don't tell myself I have to do it I will definitely give up before I start! You can do it, and sometimes it is fun to get the kids involved. When I was at my parents on their treadmill my little 1yr old niece came down and wanted to try so I told her after I was done I would let her so she helped me count down the running times. Then when I was done I slowed it way down to .5 mph I could not walk on there because it was too slow for me, but she had a blast with me there to closly monitor her. She will not be able to get to it without anyone there because it is unplugged most of the time so it is not a big deal. Kids love that sort of thing. Or find something that they want to join you with.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

My biggest issue is self motivation. I am quick to talk myself out of things because I'm alone in actually doing them. I'd rather be with my husband and kids. lol Its one of the reasons why we adopted a wonderful dog. He's the biggest butt kicker. But still my eliptical sits still in my room because I don't have anyone asking 'Have you used it today' and it's something I need from someone who isn't my husband. I am joining a challenge but still have to get my hips and stuff measured as I don't have anything at home to do that with. It's still love someone who can kick me in the butt ya know?

Thanks for the thread I will check it out to be sure!!

Hi everyone! I'm a 32 y.o 5'6 290 lb mother of 2. I am looking for someone to help support me as well as help support weight loss. I'm trying to lose 100-120 lbs but I can't seem to do it myself. I have a wonderfully supportive husband, but I need support from someone who can see the forest for the trees so to speak and kick my butt in to gear when I need it!!!! I work full time but I am able to check my emails frequently. Also I'm new to this site and trying to figure it out. I would love love love to have a support partner!!!
