Find a good training program like a 5 k training or a c25k program they seem to work and then still take it at your own pace it looks like you have a lot of time to train and so if you need 2 weeks at each level take it. It will at least get you started in the right direction.

Someone said compression stockings/pants will work. Dang Supa I commend you for trying right now, and I mean that with the greatest respect ! I am so paranoid i'll get an injury that I am fighting the urge to run. If you just did the walk thirty seconds run fifeteen seconds thing you'll get some good stamina.

I used the couch to 5 K program. It worked well for me, but It took me longer because I was not a runner when I started either.

As for the sounds, I saw some people suggest some fabric hugging apparel, but forgot the brand. I have it with my thighs, and hate it. But haven't found anything that works for them yet.

I have decided to commit to an Ultra Mini Triathlon scheduled for June 2013. This triathlon consists of 1/8 mile swim, 3 mile bike ride, and 1/2 mile run. . well at 355 pounds, I am NOT a runner. . yet.
But I want to be! So I need some advice. What would be a good routine for a beginner jogger? Most of the jogging links I found said to walk for 3 minutes to warm up, jog for 1 minute or as long as I can, then walk another 3 minutes and to do this 2 times a day.
Does that sound good or do you suggest somethign else?
Also, how do you muffle that LOUD belly flap sound?
