I'm not upset at all about my last 2 losses... at least they were losses. haha. My son had his 10th birthday this past week so I ate horribly. Didn't give it my all the past couple weeks. This week I'm shooting for 3lbs. I've tried and quit so many times, I've changed my way of thinking this time around. I'm not hung up on weight or the number on the scale. So far I think I'm doing great! emoticon Thank you for the info though

I see your body is at a plateau. This happens with weight loss. However, instead of getting frustrated, try something new. First take time to slowly enjoy something each day if it be coffee in the morning or desert at night. When you take that drink or food whatever it be, just take and smell it for a good while like 30-60 seconds. Take your time do not worry about the clock or any other stresses in your life. Take the time to notice what color you see when you smell the drink or food. Without Judgement notice what else you associate with drink or food. It can be anything music, happy memories, and more. Then take a sip or bit, do not swallow. If it is a drink as you hold that sip in your mouth notice the temperature, the taste, the movement in your mouth, the texture, whatever else you sense for a 20-60 seconds. Do not judge just notice the emotions you feel and more. If you are eating something take a bit and slowly chew notice the temperature, the taste, the movement in your mouth, the texture, whatever else you sense for a 20-60 seconds. Do not judge just notice the emotions you feel and more. Then Swallow notice the feeling you sense when you swallow the feeling of the sip moving down. Then just enjoy the smell and taste of the rest of the drink.
Allowing yourself to be aware of what you are feeling helps you notice what you do when you eat emotionally (I say this because we all eat emotionally on one level or another). Also, taking a moment out of the day to relax whenever that is will help reduce stress. We all need help reducing stress. Try it out it feels weird at first but if you take the time you will realize more than you have ever before. Try it out for a week and if it does not help you can stop.
Another thing you can do to get past the plateau is to think of 5 things you can change. A few examples are stop drinking soda, put up pictures of how you looked before and how you look after like a progressive view of yourself, Take the Stairs instead of the elevator, Get up and play instead of sitting around, take 5-15 minutes to work on a project you have been putting off (we all have these), whatever else you can think of.

I cant believe I am losing weight. I have had so much trouble trying to lose weight. I did not realize that 1500 calories was maintaining if not increasing my weight. It is revealing to track your food.

I lost 4 pounds this last week. When I saw my weight go down from 269 to 262 I could not believe it. I was happy because this time all I am doing is changing my eating habits. Changing my eating habits is something I can do for the rest of my life.
