I have been a member at Gold's for a little over six months. I can say the only thing that kept me from joining before was money! We just didn't have it. Ok, so we still don't but I make it a priority.

At this point i can't afford to go to the gym. I have an income getting ready to come in and i am hoping to take some of it each month to start me a membership somewhere. Right now i do videos on netflix or just dance around the house.

I would have said....no way...but I have a change of heart now.
My workout week is basically Power 90 (original) in the morning, and the gym during lunch. I rotate strength and cardio each day, starting on Monday with Sculpt 1-2. The gym is a combination of upper body workouts with free weights and abs, on the strength days. On the cardio days I will hit the lower body for a quick warm-up and then the elliptical is my home for the remainder.
This may seem like a lot, but I actually have found the gym part something I look forward to each day. I would have never even wanted to walk into a gym, but I found the answer....find someone that enjoys it and workout with them! It makes all the difference!
Down 12lbs, 2 inch in 2 weeks! Pounds will eventually go, but inches are my goal! Woot Woot!

Yes I go to the gym perfect fit 24/7 & I do bootcamp classes there 3 days a week I love it, its small & cozy open 24 hrs a day (members have key cards that unlock the door) & I pay for a year in advance with my tax return so I can't use the excuse that I can't afford it monthly but if I didn't they don't require contracts swo u can pay only for the months you go.
I don't mind going now but when I first started I would only go with my workout buddy, now I've been going long enough that I know no one will judge me
I go to the gym on days where it rains here. Otherwise, I walk outside. I'll have to start going 2 to 3 times a week when I start strength training, but that will be a couple more months. We have a small gym in our little military community. I go to the gym when I need to, but I feel uncomfortable when I'm there. I worry a lot about what the "fit" people think of me.
#1no i dont just because i dont have the extra $. #2yes i have done it before and i never felt like anyone cared that i was overweight. #3 N/A i do however walk 15 min @ lunch weather permits, and 55 min. taebo at home 5 times a week.

1. Do you regularly go to a gym facility (NOT CURVES type,but like Golds or 24 hour fitness)
Yes, I've always belonged to gyms and never had a problem going (even when I was the only female working out in the weight room with only males).
2. If you don't, would you be comfortable going to one?
If I didn't currently, I would feel comfortable yes. The times I haven't belonged have usually coincided with moving to a new area.
3. If you arent comfortable then why?
This isn't really applicable, however throughout my gym "career" I've been a spin instructor, over and under weight (currently way over) and have never paid attention to those who go there just to hit on men/women. As an overweight woman, if you're not comfortable interacting with those around you, then don't. People at the gym are there to concentrate on themselves and shouldn't pay you any attention, and if they do, they're really insecure about themselves.

I don't go to the gym right now. I do Leslie Sansone's and Bob Harper's walk at home dvds.
Mostly I don't go because of time restraints. I have two young kids at home that are mine. I also baby sit another one all day. After 3:00 my big kids are home and then dinner, driving to/pick up from practices, etc.
I really don't think at this point I would feel comfortable going to our local gyms though. I am very out of shape and I want to be focused on getting my exercise in and not being uncomfortable because things jiggle too much. But that's my hang up. My husband goes 3 or 4 times a week so I'm sure in the future I may start going. I thought about a trial membership once summer gets here.
