Pain Is Temporary.
Pride Is Forever.
I'm too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed.
Hello! I am brand new to Spark People so just trying to figure this all out. Looking forward to changing my life feeling overwhelmed by the amount I need to loose so hoping this site will help keep it in perspective!
I was amazed when I figured out that I could set an exercise goal and that would effect my calorie intake and nutrition needs.
Welcome to the team!

I LOVE this site-it's the best!
" Successful people have learned to make themselves do the right thing that has to be done when it has to be done, whether they like it or not."
"Let a joy keep you. Reach out your hands and take it when it runs by." ~Carl Sandburg
" We cannot selectively numb emotions. When we numb shame, we also numb joy, gratitude, etc"
Health is the goal and the weight loss will follow
I agree with Shdwlark, there are a lot of people here that will support you without the pretense of your past experiences with weight loss.
My favorite thing about this site is probably doing just this, being able to give people advice. I make myself comment and/or blog daily to keep me focused.
I also like getting those spark points and I'm not exactly sure why - haha - it's not like they're worth money but it's positive reinforcement and it works for me.
I really like your screen name!
Welcome to the group! I think the biggest thing I see is the comorodity and support. to many of us have been pushed into the weight lose from others and we may not be getting the best support outside of online that we need.
Hello everyone, I am new to SparkPeople and I'm hoping you can help me out. I have been looking around the site for the past couple of days and I get the whole thing about tracking what you eat and tracking your exercise, but what I'm looking for are those little 'secrets' related to the site. What are some of the things that you've learned by being on here that made you say, "I didn't know you could do that!" when it comes to using this site. I'm just trying to get the most out of this wonderful site. Thanks for all the tips!
