I have been having that problem too. Sometimes, if I know that I am going out to eat for supper, I will pare back through the day.

Even at the Cheesecake Factory, eating one of their healthier meals, I only ate about half of it.

And I was still full!

OOPS! I DID THAT. HAVING 1/2 WRAPPED BEFORE BEING SERVED IS A GOOD IDEA.

Eating out can be really tricky, I found drinking water before the meal does help as well as ordering kids meals helps too.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Eating out has been a nightmare for me too. But with eating healthier at home, and remembering that I CAN take home the leftover and make another meal of it, I have been really satisfied with my eating-out habits lately. Also, ordering water, not tea or juice or anything else, and drinking at least one whole glass before I start to eat REALLY helps me to fill up without gobbling it all down!

The most important thing to have is love.

I do what Reva265 does. I get 1/2 wrapped before it is served or I order a childrens size meal.

Restaurants are the bane of my portion-control! I have gotten into the habit of either ordering a 1/2 portion or, if the restaurant doesn't subscribe to that type of service, I ask for 1/2 of my meal to be wrapped-up to take home before it is served. I can't eat what isn't there to tempt me!

I haven't dared eat out, I'm so worried. At least you made a healthy choice, one day at a time emoticon

I just went to the local mexican food joint with my husband... I was careful with my order... I found a meal that looked healthy... grilled chicken, bell peppers, onion and tomatoes atop a bed of rice.

I should have portioned it out before I ate it, because before I knew it, my plate was almost empty.... I ate way more than what I should have. emoticon
