Hi, I am new.
Was really on track for couple weeks, but have completely lost it this weekend.
So I will try to participate in teams, to keep myself motivated.

I have a hard time tracking also. however I write everything in a notebook to show the doc. I do go over my cal and I tell myself its ok. The next step will be staying within the range at least its a step in the right direction.

I haven't been tracking here on SparkPeople for the past few days, which is a flaw I need to fix immediately. It's not that I've been running under/over on calories, or not mentally tracking through out the day, or skipping the work-outs. I've been doing all that. It's that I haven't been taking those final steps, making sure it all gets accounted for here. That extra step of accountability.

Summer isn't an excuse to take a break from my lifestyle change. I'm going to stop letting it be.

I'm glad to see the rest of you are still at it, though. Keep on keeping on, as they say.

May the Force Be With You!

REDBELLY1031 - I wound up having the pizza and ice cream...and didn't feel the least bit guilty about it for a change. I chalked it up to the 20 in my 80/20 and moved on. I'll talk to my Dr about a referral, thanks for the advice!

It's threatening thunderstorms for most of the day. I hit the treadmill just so I could avoid maybe getting caught in it. I may venture out with my preschooler to play a bit before it hits.

Yummy pizza and ice cream. not the healthiest but a treat isnt so bad. U shouldn't skip. what if u just eat some fruit and nuts?

emoticon . I live in a huge college town that also has a medical school. I have fatty liver and my doc referred me to see someone. since there is a medical school here it wasn't that hard to get Bridget my nutritionist.

If I were u I would ask for the referral. Thats what I needed anyways.

REDBELLY1031 - I'll keep your mom in my thoughts for an easy surgery and a swift recovery. Congratulations on your progress! May I ask how you found your nutritionist? My doctor is great, but kinda clueless when it comes to weight loss and nutrition.

ChrimsonFyre - I suggest sticking to the BRAT (banana, rice, applesauce, toast) diet until the stomach issue clears up. It's not perfect diet food, but it resets the system and eases you into real food again. Hope you feel better soon.

It's the preschool picnic for my youngest today. Yay pizza and ice cream?? Ok not really. I may skip lunch there and make something when we get home.

Chrimson emoticon I had something the last few days so I can relate. I hope u feel better tomorrow

Well Fri morning my mom is having back surgery. Its minor but the thought really scares her and I know I need to be strong to keep her calm. My mom has MS and is already bed bound for the most part. I have faith in the doctors. I know he knows what hes doing and I need to trust that and trust god.
I went to see my nutritionist today and she is very happy with my progress. I was so afraid that I should be further along but I'm doing better then I thought. My only real problem is I need to eat more often. I need to set an alarm and eat. I'm just not hungry and it isn't even meds that is the cause. We have set up some reasonable goal and I have a follow up next month.
Other then the surgery and the doc visit life is good. My husband is helping me and I stay busy so I don't sit and eat all day long.

Stomach is opposite again today, bit queasy, not wanting to eat, a lot of time in the restroom. I don't know if I have a stomach bug or maybe I'm having a reaction to something I am eating. All I've had today so far is a glass of milk (for my meds), water and a cup of coffee. I have some oatmeal with me at work, but it's really not appealing right now.

ChrimsonFyre - Yuck! Sounds like something really disagreed with you. I don't know much about detoxes or cleanses. I've heard good things and bad. All I can say is do your research

Yesterday I hit the treadmill and walked 3/4 of a mile in 15 minutes. My goal is to do be able to do a mile in 20 minutes by the end of next week. That may be pushing it though.

I spent most of my day yesterday in the bathroom. I had stomach cramps and nausea all day. I'm not sure what I ate, but I was miserable.

Today I feel insanely bloated. Maybe a detox would be good for me?

Friendly's is a regional restaurant, serves ice cream and burgers.

I gave up trying to wear any sort of makeup ages ago. I couldn't stand the heaviness on my skin or the terrible breakout that happened after I took it off. I've always had sensitive skin, but after I had kids it just got worse.

It's a new week, and I have new goals to meet for it. We'll see how that goes.

Glad the party was a success. Although, I have no idea what friendlys is, lol. I would have loved to watch a movie, but had that pesky final to complete.

I'm off for two weeks now. I'm going to try to detox from some beauty and body products I use in order to start fresh with new all natural or organic products. I just feel disgusting. So I think it's time. I'm eating well, but need to make what I'm putting on the outside match what I'm putting on the inside.

Birthday party was a success! My husband took the oldest and his best friend to laser tag and had a dinner out at Friendly's. I got to stay home with the younger siblings and watch a movie.

Today is summer clothes shopping for my two youngest at Goodwill. We're finally getting into warm weather around here.

It appears there is a farmers market in my area on Saturday mornings, unfortunately I already have a breast cancer training walk scheduled this morning so maybe I can catch the next one.

Yes, the farmers market is something everyone should try! I find that things taste better because there is no shipping involved, no middle men. And you can get things not in the grocery store. Like organically grown fresh garlic. I never knew that garlic could be used fresh rather than dried. It was a new, recent experience and it was delicious, lol. Oh, and mulberries You can't get those at the store.

My only plans are to finish up my last final for school. Then I'm free for 2 1/2 weeks before next class starts.

I really need to start trying out this farmers market thing. There are a few in my area on weekends I believe.

My daughter is turning 16 the first week of June. We are doing a party weekend at a-kon. That is what she wanted was to do her favorite cosplay at a-kon and to stay in the hotel there since it is the same weekend as her birthday. The hotel is the most expensive part. Staying there during the event the prices are raised. lol

This weekend we are going to work on a friend's car while he is out of town, he's that guy who won't ask for help so his wife is going to let us come over and do it for him when he isn't there hahaha.

BRITTANY116 - Thankfully you can get just about anything from the grocery store if you know what's in season in the warmer climes.

This weekend is another birthday. Whatever possessed me to have 2 kids in the month of May I will never know LOL. My oldest is turning 16, and thankfully he's not into the whole "big party" kinda thing so no major temptations here. I'll have a bite or two of cake to celebrate though.

Anyone else have plans for the weekend?

Crimson- Glad everyone is okay from the accident I hope the crazy shows everything is fine.

Red rose doll- oh wow, I'd die (not literally) if I didn't have access to a farmers market weekly. I guess that's the only, and I mean only, good thing about living in southern California. I'm hoping to move to the Midwest in a few years, I think their farmers market is closed during winter. That will be tough if that happens. I'm used to certain luxuries like having plentiful options of veggies and fruits year round.

All this talk of veggies has me craving them..this is a good thing. I got out of the habit of eating them because my hubby refuses to eat them. I'm slowly increasing them in my diet again.

Everyone from the accident is ok, I'm a little sore but nothing else so far. I'm having images done on my spine just to make sure, I had spinal fusion just a year ago.

BRITTANY116 - Welcome, welcome! It's been 31 days since I had any added sugar anything. The cravings aren't too bad anymore. I have had a few bites here and there, mostly celebratory things like birthdays. I honestly was worried that I would fall off the wagon with just a bite because I was literally a sugar addict. It seems that once I lost the taste for sweet, a very little goes a very long way. Thank goodness!

I am looking forward to the local farm markets opening up for the season! I have to wait another month though. Living in the north is rough when it comes to local seasonal eating because for 7 months literally nothing grows. Come June though, I'll be there every week.

Hi all. New to this group. I'm Brittany and just made it to where I only need to lose 95 pounds now! Look forward to getting to know you all.

I do vegetable steamers as well. At least when in a rush. I prefer to head to the local farmers market and pick up fresh veggies and steam them in a metal steaming pot. going out to someplace special and choosing my own vegetables from local farmers gives me a better relationship to the food I eat. I find that it makes me prideful about the food I'm putting in my mouth and makes me actually want to eat them. BUT vegetable steamers are awesome. I look in the grocery ads for when they are on sale for .99 a bag. Then I stock a shelf in my freezer. That way I always have frozen veggies available and I have no excuses not to put them on my plate. I don't do canned vegetables, I find them....soft, lol. Canned corn isn't too bad in that aspect though.

As for the sugar, I haven't even has anything with added sugar since I started eating better besides for my cereal, which isn't bad at all and my organic yogurt. I just Dont crave at all. Sometimes I'd like a little dark chocolate, but I find having plenty of fruit in my diet and treating 2 sliced apples and a half cup of yogurt for dipping as a dessert meal most nights satiated any need for processed sugars. I think I got lucky that this time I don't crave the sugars. I do crave salt still though. That and steam. Steak is my nemesis this time around. I can't resist it and I can't control my portion well on it either.

WORKNPROGRESS27 - If I started calculating treadmill time for what I eat I think I'd stop eating altogether LOL.

You've intrigued me with the canned goods veggies. I usually avoid them because of the salt content, but I'll take a peek. Maybe they aren't that bad.

ChrimsonFyre - Car accident? Are you ok other than sore? I can imagine I wouldn't want to cook after that either. Hope you feel un-sore soon.

I will definitely look into these steamer options, thanks all of you.

I find I'm the same way, a couple bites of sweets and I'm satisfied. Now I did have a chicken potato burrito and half order of mexi dips and chips from Taco Bueno last night...not the best option. I wasn't feeling cooking last night, was sore from the car accident at lunch.

I found that sugar now only tastes awesome for a few bites and then my taste buds start getting numb to it.
The Green Giant Steamers are my veggies for dinner every night. I was cooking fresh veggies but the time involved and the results don't even make sense when these things are $1.25 a box. Plus they taste great!

I also do the Steamables for my vegetables, quick and easy. I recently found some microwavable bags of veggies with the can goods. I thing the brand is Libby's. The green beens were surprisingly good.

Red Rose- Awesome job just having the two bites. I have found that sometimes that's all I really want is a bite of two. Also I really try and find the calorie content and wonder how long I would have to be on the treadmill to burn those calories and usually I end up with a big "oh heck no" lol

I have a love/hate relationship with bananas LOL. I'm trying my best to like them again, it's a slow process. I will have to try the ice cream approach.

ChrimsonFyre - I've found those steamable microwave packets of veggies are perfect to pop into a lunchbox. they double as a cold pack for drinks and are quick to cook. They're cheap too, so you can get your veggie fix for not a ton of money

I survived the Science Fair last night for my middle child, and only had 2 bites of ice cream at the after party. I thought I would crave sugar if I splurged a bit (kinda like opening the flood gates again after I quit), but thankfully I didn't want any more than a couple bites to feel Ok about it.

I donylt really crave sweets like I used to, but I'm still lacking veggies in my diet. Need to get better at that.

Sorry, I've been out for a while. Rose Red, have you tried freezing a banana and putting it in the food processor? Pretty close to ice cream, at least when in a rut.

I have the worst time planning meals. I get frustrated with the whole process.

This month has been stressful and I've been having cravings...I opt for fruit instead of the ice cream. Not a perfect substitute but better for me

great job. I meal planned this week and brought my healthy food with me to work. I'm hoping this makes a difference in my snacking on bad things.

Thanks for the kind words. Some days it's just so difficult for me, I'm not sure why, it just is. I'm working on it a day at a time, my doc is just not happy with my lack of progress.

You can do this, Chrimsonfyre! You just have to tackle each day like it's a new chance to get things right. One good choice at a time. Don't dwell on your setbacks - just move forward to your next chance to get it right.

Today was tough for me - I'm home from school and adrift. Usually this is when I want to eat everything. I am going stir-crazy, which is usually when I eat. Instead, today, I rearranged my room and furniture, and went a little nuts alphabetizing my DVD/BluRay collection. I guess I should be glad to know that after 130 days, I've learned some coping skills that aren't food-related.

The last day here isn't until June 23, so I have some time to plan. Might I suggest a nap or 5..you deserve it working in a school.

Today was a first for me. I jogged...actually JOGGED on the treadmill for 2 whole minutes and I didn't DIE! LOL Actually that is a pretty amazing feat considering. I'm proud of myself, especially for the not dying part.

I work at a school, too. Yesterday was actually my last day for the year. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle being home. Today I managed it by cleaning everything. Tomorrow, I'll probably tackle the backlog of laundry. The next day, though? I'm not sure what to expect from the next day. If it'll tempt me to stray disastrously or not.

I opted for cashews and a tiny piece of dark chocolate instead of a binge. This month is just so dang crazy, and I feel like I'm losing control.

Summer is fast approaching and that means everyone will be home all day, even my husband because he's a teacher. I have a thing about working out in front of people...even family.

I'm sure this too shall pass, but why does it have to be so darn difficult right now?

You can do this - both of you. I know it's not easy, and that there are days where you won't be as successful as you'd like, but if you slip up today, you just hit tomorrow twice as hard.

I'm in a funk, but I'm still going through my paces. Counting calories, doing my work-outs. I think summer rapidly approaching has me feeling blue. At Mother's Day, all my siblings had significant others or significant others and children with them, and then there was me. I'm trying to use it to fuel my work-outs, but it's not really working. Instead, it fueled a double caramel cake crunch baking session.

Today I'm going through the house and packing up a lot of excess "baggage" I've been carrying around because of guilt and stuff. It's just holding me back so I'm letting it go. Not an easy task, and I have a feeling I'll want to binge on something bad for me at the end of the day.

@SHEILASQUEILA - I can sympathize. Take it slow, drink your water, do small healthy things and it will all come back into place. We got this!

Star Wars Day is one of my favorites. I'm sure I've mentioned that Star Wars is what got me on my weight loss journey.

I'm going to do a Jedi work-out, tonight. They posted it in the Star Wars team here on SparkPeople a while ago, and I really like it. It's hard, but today is the perfect day for it.

Red Rose - Thank you! It's been a fun adventure so far. I've got a ways to go, I've had some slip-ups, but mostly I've been pushing myself forward, and I can really feel the changes. Not see them, so much - I'm no good at noticing the differences in myself - but feel, oh yes.

PatinumZack - Oh my stars, eleven months? Congratulations! That's awesome! I am right with you on the sugar thing. I used to have a terrible sweet tooth and drink soda all the time. I haven't been drinking soda anymore, and I tried some Pepsi a few days ago, and it was undrinkable. I was a bit sad about it, because I so loved Pepsi. I remember loving it. But I don't anymore.

Oh gosh, I love cycling, though.

Congrats to both of you! 11 months tomorrow for me. I've been tracking nearly all food and all workouts although I never count calories burned. It's amazing when you cut back on sugar how sweet everything is very temporarily. I can eat 1/4 bag of Skittles and they are amazing. After that my taste buds get numb to it again and any more would be eating just for the sake of eating.

I've hit a 2 week scale stall because I joined the gym and have been weight training like crazy. I can already see and feel the difference. As a result the scale jumped up 5 pounds. I'm only 0.4 lbs away from when I started so maybe my "official" weight will start going down again soon. I tried the elliptical for the first time yesterday and actually cranked out 30 min without feeling winded. All of that cycling is paying off in more ways than I thought!

Have a great weekend!

120 days! That's fabulous, congrats!

'm on day 4 here, day 13 for my No Sugar Challenge. I'm finally over the "withdrawal flu" and my energy is starting to get back to normal. I'm still learning to cope with cravings, especially when I am stressed out, but it's getting better.

Tomorrow is 120 days! I can hardly believe it. I feel so much different than when I started. It's a slow process, but it is making such a big difference. Keep at it and don't give up!

How is everyone else? Working on tracking your work-outs? Your meals?

Sounds like a solid plan for getting work done and keeping things healthy! We've got one of the old-fashioned push lawnmowers, and have as long as I can remember. Every few years we get the blades sharpened, but it's a really basic little thing. No motor or anything. Makes me glad we only have one acre though! I can't imagine trying to mow something larger by hand. I would probably expire. It is so nice outside though! It's like summer settled into Alaska early, bringing with it green grass and clear skies and so on. I want desperately to transition to biking instead of stationary bike as the weather improves.

Lately I've been struggling with my meal plans. It's been two or three weeks since I've gotten to go shopping, so I am essentially out of healthy options. Today was PB&J (on wheat) for lunch, and a thawed (previously frozen) Costco muffin (did you know they have 650ish calories each? I had no idea!). I'm trying to just stay in my calorie range and not beat myself up about not having access to better food, because it's outside of my control right now, but it's incredibly discouraging.

I'm going to Strava my lawn mowing one day just to see how far I walk. It feels the same as three miles. Got a lousy $80 for my $2000 riding mower because the transmission is toast. The good news is that I actually enjoy it for the most part. I'm glad I've built up enough base fitness to tackle simple chores again. Plus, my trusty 100 oz Camelbak makes sure I have ice water at the ready at all times!

Nice to see more voices join the conversation! I just hit over 100 days yesterday.

I am so shy that going to a gym would terrify me, even if I could afford it. Instead, I have weights at home and a stationary bike. I work out by myself. I don't mind getting sweaty and gross where nobody can see, and where it doesn't matter what I wear. Not that I don't dress up to work out - I love my active wear. It's one of the few things I don't mind shopping for.

My cardio tonight is going to be done late, probably after 8:30. An hour on the stationary bike. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Welcome Jean15Paul! You are on the right path for sure. I avoided exercise for the first few months so I wouldn't burn out. Still lost 50 pounds. I love it now though and look forward to every opportunity, most of the time ;) Thanks for the confirmation!

Hi everybody, I'm new here and jumping in in the middle of the conversations so I hope I didn't miss anything important.

Don't worry about it PlatinumZack. Everyone needs a break sometimes. You'll get back to it. Remember it's not about being perfect, just keep making progress.

I empathize with the ladies about buying clothes. Guys close are relatively easy in comparison.

So I've only been at this about a week. So far I've been focusing on eating healthy and tracking calories. (No workout yet.) But I see progress. I've lost a couple pounds. I just need to figure out how to fit workouts into my schedule.

Just an update, I didn't ride that 40 miles. In fact, I didn't feel like riding at all during the week. I got in 46 miles for the week which is the least I've done in 3 months. Sure, I pushed the lawnmower around a few hours but I think I just needed a break. Once the rain clears out it's time to start ramping up again. I'm ready to get back to it!

Yogi, $50 a month seems pretty high to me, but if you can swing it and take full advantage of it do what works. In the end that's a small price to pay IF you use it. I was paying much much more just in junk food and beer ;b

Good Luck Plat

well I have been doing a lot of thinking and I and a member of one gym I don't go to only once a wk for my personal trainer and I take my client to his gym twice a wk and know the people there and talk to them often. I can pay an extra $50 a month and get 3 season a wk vs one season a wk. The extra $50 gets me the same take measurements and that stuff but he does before and after pics plus when to school for nutrition as well. the owner/trainer is also somewhat easy on the eyes which kinda helps lol. I think I will be getting the better deal switching if u ask me. The only problem is I need to wait til Aug when my contract is up because I can't and I have tried to get out of it. What is everyone thoughts?

I've been riding my bike like a mad man all year. Last time I rode 40 miles it was a bad ending. It took me an hour before I could stand up without passing out. That was over a month ago and I'm going for it again tomorrow. Wish me luck!!

Shopping was pretty much a disaster. I didn't get any pants. I have one pair currently that fits me at all. But! I did get to run around a mall with friends for a while, so there is that. It was hours of walking, all said and done, for the day.

I'm so glad Torrid's fashion is being kind to you! I have always wanted to love them, but I've got a short torso (being all of very short) and I am exceedingly top-heavy, and that hasn't tended to mesh well. Skirts and dresses never fall at the right place, sleeves are too long, so on and so forth. I envy people who can rock their clothes, so much, because there are things that I have fallen so madly in love with there, only to have not fit. Petite girl problem, wherein petite = short as heck.

I've been getting clothes from Target lately, and they have the tiniest arm holes. I do not understand how they expect people to have arms that thin. I'm starting to see the point in investing in good active wear, the more active I am. I feel a lot more motivated when I dress up to work out in comfortable, supportive work-out clothes. It makes it more of an even than a hassle, I guess.

I'm not a huge fan of shopping for clothes either, but sometimes we just need to. I have found some amazing clothes that are more flattering on me and I like lately at Torrid though. I think I have a new favorite store.

Happy Friday! I hope this weekend is easy and calm for everyone. I'm *dun dun dun* going shopping this weekend. I need another pair of slacks. It's never going to be my favorite thing, but not having to go to a specialty store to get pants is pretty nice.

I'm starting to consider planting a garden this summer - how cool would it be to eat food that I grew? It would be easier to know that it was grown healthily, and would probably compliment the backyard chicken coop quite well. Also, the chickens would love the less than perfect (IE slug-infested, etc.) off-casts.

It feels like the school year is narrowing to an end, and summer is looming heavily even though it is just spring.

Speaking of motivating, all this talk of about it pushed me at the work-out today, got a bit sweaty. My body is exhausted, but ecstatic with how much it can do now that it couldn't 83 days ago.

I'm trying to just focus on how I feel. I feel a lot better than I have, more active and energetic, and I think that's the important thing. I can do more, achieve more, and that is one of the best feelings in the world. I am so excited for this summer.

I'm so glad I found SparkPeople, and that I'm not in this all alone.

I'm guessing muscle then. Instead of using the scale to determine success, how about how you feel and how your clothes fit? Sometimes a scale is our worst enemy.

I am logging everything I eat and drink - I've been water-only for the past 80 days, so that's easy. Every once in a blue moon I'll get Starbucks, but I always log it when I do. I did recently move up a weight size for my arm work-outs. I was using 2-pound weights and I shifted up to 5. I've also been hardcore pushing my core work-outs. I am going to quietly hope it's just muscle build-up, and the calorie estimations they give me here aren't somehow wrong. I'm short, but they take that in to account, and I did put my activity level at low/sedentary levels, so I can't imagine they're suggesting too many to me.

Are you logging everything you eat and drink? I know for me, I was forgetting to log what I was drinking and I was drinking a lot of calories.
Also if you are working out a lot, you might not see as much change because you are building muscle but not necessarily yet losing the fat. As the muscle starts to burn more calories, the fat around it will start to go away.

emoticon My motto written on my mirror so I see it every day is "These are your first steps." I'm not sure how helpful that is to people who aren't massive Star Wars nerds, but that's mine. Do you have one, yet? A mantra/motto/whatever?

This week - spring break, for me - I've sort of sucked it up. I'm down another pound as of my weigh-in yesterday, It's taken three weeks to lose it. I've been really active, too, so I'm a bit discouraged by how little I've lost. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Probably too much building muscle. I guess that's okay, if I think about it like that. I need muscle. I didn't really have much muscle mass at the start of this adventure.

Next week will be better.

Just take each day one at a time. If you sucked yesterday, you can still rock it today. I gave myself permission to screw up, and I've had a lot more success since then. Stopped beating myself up for failures and just accepted that sometimes, you eat the jelly doughnut.

I remember feeling that way a lot when I first started the program. I'm at day... 76? 77? And I feel a lot perkier, but for the first 20 or 30 days I felt like the energy-drained remnants of a vampire snack. I suspect I wasn't actually getting enough calories.

I'm doing better on my step goals this week, but still not quite where I want to be. The lack of energy and constant sleepiness this week isn't helping.

Today I am going to make awesome choices. I hope the rest of you are, too. It's such a stunning day here - it was in the 50s, yesterday, and today is looking to be about the same. Makes me really happy to be on spring break.

I ran around yesterday playing fetch with the dogs and ambling about the yard. Somehow managed to wrench my knee at some point, and it's a bit sore today. I'm considering this a direct sign from Mother Nature: focus on your core today, BattleofEndor! It's a much needed push.

Hope your work-outs and fooding go well today! I know weekends can be hard.

OMG I love the rain too especially when I don't have to work. Its suppose to rain by me tomorrow and I hope it does. I am a morning person unless I am sick. I normally wake up between 6:30-7 even on weekends and I just go right back to bed. I do go to bed early however since I need to be at work by 7:45. Marco (hubby) on the other hand I have to wake him up at least a good 30-45 min before he really needs to get up. He hates getting out of bed but then again who doesn't.

I envy u that your bra size went down. I also have a nice size chest and although losing weight the chest area still seems to be on the larger size. My waist however has gone down a lot. I also went from an 18/20 to a 14/16 in pants. My yoga pants don't even fit well anymore but I'm not ready to replace them just yet.

What's that saying, it takes all types?

I bought a pair of new pants yesterday - size 16 - and a new bra (40F). I hadn't realized how many INCHES I'd lost until I went shopping. I'm not in regular sizing yet, and the scale isn't really tipping much, but I feel really good about the victories I've had, right now.

I'm excited to see where my future leads.

If they tried to make me wake up at 5:30 a.m., I would probably die. I don't know why, but even when I am flat-up exhausted, my body will refuse to sleep until around 11:00 p.m. at the earliest. I worked a job where I was supposed to be there at 6:30 a.m. every day, and it was the roughest three months of my life. I was exhausted all the time but sleep refused to come at night. I never napped during the day, and I don't drink caffeine. I tried every trick in the book for sleeping on time. It just didn't happen.

I love the rain - I have rain envy. We don't have any precipitation of any kind - not even snow - and it's making me feel somewhat dehydrated, just on a mental level.

I've been slacking on my core, again. It's my biggest weakness. Core, and leg flexibility. I know this, and I need to just push myself to work on those things, but running/stationary bike is just a lot more fun.

Tomorrow is going to be a looong, early day - not sure when I"m going to have time to sneak cardio in. Maybe late, like 8:00 p.m. late, but that's cool - I neeeed it. It's probably my favorite part of the day, right now.

I somehow ended up with back-to-back scheduling all day. I'm not sure how I'm going to find time for lunch. Breakfast, though, is going to be oatmeal - because I know it can fit in my bag and I can microwave it at work if I need to. I have natural peanut butter at work, too, so I'm covered even if lunch ends up being a few scoops of peanut butter on the run. Thinking out loud to you guys so I have some accountability - I will not skip meals because I think it's easier, and then pig out later to make up for it! That way lays madness.

Sorry to hear about the tummy issues, Safire! I hope the work-out went well!

Way to go on the early workout!

I don't workout in the morning either. I will stretch in the morning but not workout.

I'm doing ok today, I had some major tummy issues earlier and it wiped me out. Seems like that always happens when I first try to lose weight. But a nap was just the ticket after all that. I feel GOOD right now.

Going to do a short workout this afternoon.

I cannot imagine getting up at 6:00 a.m. to work out. Hats off to you on your awesomeness! Seriously, that's dedication.

I'm so not a morning person, but I am feeling really good with my work-outs. I'm going to be away from home during Spring Break - house sitting for a friend - and away from our home gym. My siblings will likely change allll the settings I've adjusted while I'm gone, but! the place I house sit has room for jump rope, so it's not a bad trade-off. I'm looking forward to mixing up my routine a little more, because it's a very different property, and they have a ton of work-out tapes of their own.

Keep on keeping on, as they say!
