For me the only way to get my scale to move is to follow a strict low carb diet and work out at least 3 hours a week. Low carb includes fruit.. The thing with me is that I don't like to cook and most quick things have carbs. I've been making sure to keep veggies that I really like and cold cuts around for quick snacks. I also like to snac on sunflower seeds (without the shell)...

Hi IMREITE! I know what you mean...still plugging along but struggling in every sense of the word. I cannot find the right "answer" I know that there is really no answer but I just haven't found what works best for my body. I did lowfat to see if that would jump start things and it didn't. I know that lower carbs is something that a lot of people push toward however I don't eat many carbs as it is. I don't know....it's just that I love food and I just eat too many calories. I think that's what it all boils down to for me. The question is - how do I get more consistent? I do good for awhile and have willpower and then it just all goes away sometimes. emoticon

still here. i have been very active this week. unfortunatly i oversnacked, mindlessy ate junk food on mon and tues. i did well with portion controls for meals. the mindless snacking is what is my problem. so that is going to be my next healthy habit to work on. i found a fitfoods challenge. i will have to review the snacks list and be mindful of hunger vs cravings.

Don't forget to be awesome.

Hello All- still in it to win it over here emoticon

I didn't work out at all last week because I hurt my ankle dancing in my heels LOL but I am back on it this week. I still lost a couple pounds because I'm being strict with my low carb diet...

Good morning! My trainer was mad at me this week. I haven't made much progress over the last two weeks. However, I hope that in the next two weeks before I check in again that I'll have amazing results!!

How's everybody doing? emoticon

Hello everyone I hope you all are having a great weekend! I had a great day so far, yard mowed and went for a hike! Tomorrow not sure what the plan is but I am sure DBF and I will find something to do.

@Temeka I haven't heard of that one. Something I may need to look at sometime :)

@temeka you can always try something new one day and go back the next to test out your theory of being bored with it. What work out are you using?

@FITGRL124--- no I guess I typed that wrong. I did not go over my calories but I'm wondering if ate too little and maybe that was why I was tired or maybe I'm just getting bored with my work out.. Not sure which it is yet.

Thanks for commenting :)

@TEMEKA97 - great job on the loss even if you didn't stick to your plan exactly. Maybe you felt tired during your workout because you were overloaded from all of your food this weekend!

Hi Everyone- my weekend consisted of trying not to eat too much which I didn't do and ended up losing one pound LOL

Felt a little tired doing my work out last night. I think it may be time to switch it up a bit.

Sounds like a good plan! We are enjoying a low-key weekend and getting ready to head out of town for Labor Day. Going to workout like crazy this week since I know this weekend is going to be a bad setback! We are packing plenty of healthy snacks so we can try to minimize the damage. emoticon

You should lose water weight that you've gained. It usually takes a couple of days once your TOM is over.

Emily this is absolutely normal! During TOM, your body retains fluid in preparation of a "baby." When you don't have one there, you shed the lining of your uterus and thus get rid of that excess fluid.

So, I have a question for all of the ladies out there. :) When it is "that time of the month", is it normal to stall out on weight loss or even gain a pound or two? I have still been eating very healthy and exercising regularly but not noticing any change this week (until this week I had been steadily losing).

Before joining SP I had not tracked my weight in a looooooonnnnnngggg time, so I am really not sure what to think right now. Any help would be appreciated!

i may have to buy more pants soon. o i have a new motivation. i hate shopping for clothes. i rarely find stuff that fits. but i realize how much time has gone by and i am not close to some of my goals. in fact i have gotten farther away and more complacent. it is getting worse before it is getting better but i do know i do have control and there are lots of things i can do to get back on track.

What i am doing well- i love exercise. not all types, but i love low impact exercises but i need to work on the higher intensity stuff and do more strenght training.

Don't forget to be awesome.

Good afternoon ladies, it's a beautiful day here in Ohio. I started my day out by getting in a 65 minute walk at the park, 30 push ups and 7 minutes of total body stretching. I am looking forward to enjoying my weekend with my sons and visiting friends. What is everyone's plans for the weekend?

FITGRL 124- I keep having ups and downs with my spark reports I keep going under goal or above goal with protein and salt. I've been watching my salt intake alot this week so I hope I have a change in the scale. I was starting to get some leg swelling and my rings were getting tight. I'm also gradually increases my calorie intake to see if that helps. I'm trying to watch my carbs and follow a diabetic diet because I have been dx as per-diabetic. I just want to get my health in check. Any advice you have would be very helpful..Thanks.

Cindylou - how many macros (carbs, proteins, fats) are you getting on your 1200 calorie day versus your 1600 calorie day? If you're exercising that much, you might not be eating enough. I know that sounds crazy but it's true. Tell me more about your nutrition - I would love to see if I can help.

I have been going through the same thing. I don't have a magic answer. I just keep at it and try to stay motivated with the end goal in mind. For now I am eating about 1,200 cals a day and trying to vary my exercise a little. I also just added some strength training which seems to be helping a bit. I am also trying to focus on the little wins (rings and clothes fitting better to name a few). Some days are better than others but just do your best to stay positive and keep at it!

I'm rant for a moment....I have trouble sleeping so I don't know if that's a problem or not. What does everyone else do when you know you gave it your all but the scales just don't seem to move? I've only been back on the bandwagon a month but it just seems my progress is slower this time around. I workout 3 to 5 times a week 30mins to a hour and eat 1200 to 1600 calories depending on my workout. I really want to get these 50 to 100 lbs off. And yes I know it takes time its not going to happen over night.

Hey everyone! Whew - I've been miserable feeling all day. But, wait for it, wait for it, I did my WHOLE shoulder workout today! My trainer has me doing five sets which is usually REALLY hard but I watched a 45 minute show and completed my workout. YAY!

emoticon Feeling strong today!

Good morning ladies & gentleman! (not sure if there are any men around but I didn't want to leave them out just in case)!

I don't think I've checked in here since joining but I want to gain some new friends who are working on the same journey.

What's everyone's plan this week? I am planning on a lot of weight training and a lot of cardio. Yep, workin' it! emoticon

I hope to learn more about everyone soon!!!!! emoticon

It is a great idea! I really need to add exercise into my routine. I have been doing well with eating, now I just have to do well with exercising. emoticon

Hello everyone. Just checking in- on week four of my work out streak. Will add a fourth day this week. I'm just very proud of myself for sticking with my work outs this long- I've never consistently worked out for four weeks before. I feel a change coming emoticon
