Going to Zumba class for the first time since my vacation that I gained 8lbs on. Anyway, had fun now it's time to jump back on the wagon!!! Also, I signed up for a 5k to happen in July to keep me going. I know that I have to be in shape for this 5k so I won't fall back into bad behavior. Cause i will not quit in the middle NO ma'am, No sir!
If anyone can help, I need a site that has recipes for 2 people. I am tired of reading these recipes and they sound wonderful to look at the serving size and see "serves 12". These huge dishes makes it so hard to portion control anything. If anyone knows of a website or cookbook that has recipes for smaller portion sizes. I would greatly appreciate it. :)
This month I'm looking forward to hitting my second major milestone - no longer classified as obese. I had hoped to make it in April, but not quite. This month is the month! I need to lose a little more than 4 pounds from today's weigh in.

The reason I joined Spark People and decided to lose weight was because I was unable to fit on some of the rides at Busch Gardens last year during my husband's annual work picnic. This year, well 10 months later, I was able to fit on every ride, and even had room to spare! Plus I was able to keep pace with my husband and son, and even walk faster than them occasionally. Plus I didn't have ANY pain in either of my knees, or anywhere else on my body. That is a first in God only knows how long!!!!!
I didn't make much progress in April, but I'm not surprised. We did a lot of eating out and I didn't exercise every day. I spent most of the month still trying to get back into exercising after that nasty kidney stone episode. And then I twisted my knee while doing squats so I had to get back to very low impact, walking routines.
I am stoked for May. I figure with no loss for April I should be able to do great for May as long as I put in the effort =)
Right now I'm waking up and thinking through what I want to accomplish this month... not usually a very set-a-goal type of person, I usually just push myself and get it done without much structure but trying something new...

This morning I dropped to 176 lbs, which is a pound lower than I've ever reached since my third son was born in 2004. Only 21 more pounds until I hit my goal!!!!
Also, this weekend I got on a swing again for the first time in 13 years, since I was thrown head-first off of one. I conquered my fear! Blogged about it today, including a video my son took - I would love you all to come see and help me celebrate!!
Lastly, yesterday I was really tired/stressed and ended up binging around mid-day, but eventually stopped the binge, went out running, and managed to only go over my calories by about 25 or so - crisis diverted!
