I am also a newbie. Been on the site for ages but never used it but it's time to get off the ol' behind and get serious. I've never had much weight issues but had a year of many changes and little exercise (I am...used to be an avid runner) and gained 8kg (17lbs)! It feels really weird - like this body does not belong to me. I'd like to get healthier and back on the road so I can confidently call myself a runner again.
I'd really like to make some friends on here to stay motivated and share the journey.

Hi, I'm new too and just trying to learn my way around the site. I'd like to lose 20 pounds. Anything we can do to motivate each other would be great! I'm trying to get out of the winter blahs and back into working toward my goal.
