Oh, yeah! ankle weights and arm weights to strap on would be great to give you a workout!! Maybe you could even keep a hula-hoop or jump rope in the car for when you can get out a stretch your legs - then you could practice either for a few minutes to get your blood pumping.

I agree with Karen. You may want to invest in a pair of wrap weights. You can add resistence while doing the leg lifts the attach them to your wrists and do side and front raises with your arms. When you stop, doing a few sprints is a great idea as well as leaning against the truck and doing some push-ups.
Good Luck and keep posting!!!

You can also do leg lifts in the truck while you're riding to increase circulation and engage your core.

Well, if you're able to take snacks with you, do you have room for a small cooler or insulated lunch bag? You could take servings of veggies, fruits, protein bars, etc. My favorites to take to work to eat there are snap peas, carrot sticks, raisins, dried cranberries, nuts, apple slices, and various protein or fruit bars (from Trader Joe's - which I LOVE). Also, yogurt (with an ice pack!!) would be a good treat to keep you going. You can even have a jar of peanut butter/almond butter/sunflower butter to dip your veggies or fruits in.

What you could do when you get stops would be to sprint, walk, or jog for a few minutes around the truck. You could do a 4 minute tabata where you run/walk fast/jog for 20 seconds and rest 10 seconds for a total of 8 sets. While it's not ideal as the only exercise, it would at least keep you moving so that you don't get blood clots in your legs!

I started Sparkspeople last year and got so busy (working two jobs) I gave up the computer. Well my husband went back over-the-road in a big truck, so I went with him. Well now I have very little exercise and I'm gaining a little weight. there is not much room in the truck for exercises and I do not get to eat right. We may not stop to eat till the afternoon. I need some ideas for snacks and some exercises for the truck.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I have internet on the truck so I will be more active in this Team. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
