The water retention from your cycle will make the scale go back up briefly. I was very dishearten when I stepped on the scale to see it go back early this week (while I had AF), but I checked again today and I was back down the 4 lbs. where I should be! Next time I am going to skip the AF week scale check.

PMS will definitely do it. I find I often mindlessly eat more during that time of the month.

I also found when I don't track, I think I've eaten far less than I actually have. It took me a week of just focusing on the tracker to learn how to use it most effectively, and how to quickly add things I eat that were not there, but it was so worth it.

I do have to admit, I am not a weigher of my foods. I will until I am able to look at it and judge how much is there. I still tend to just judge more often than not.

Hope you are able to work out this and figure out why the scale is going up instead of down.

not at all. i joined this last year and found tracking to be a little annoying.
either my computer would freeze up or (my iphone) or i never knew exactly how many ounces of something i was eating so nothing was accurate.
Or if it was a packaged meal i sometimes couldn't locate it on list.
:(
excuses suck i know.
maybe i can try to keep a journal (not to a T) and just try to eat less packaged stuff.
(I think my monthly cycle is starting. I've had PMS it seems for over a week & cramps!)
maybe that's it

are you tracking everything you eat so you know how many calories you are putting in? It may surprise you to find out just how much you are eating, even if it's healthy options.

I seem to eat out of boredom or b/c I think I should be eating when I shouldn't be.
I never really go for fruit i always look for processed junk food including ben and jerry's Half Baked or whatever flavor i'm in the mood for or chewy chocolate chip cookies.
All bad/all processed/all refined sugars.

Question: I've recently started working out again. Trying to get in Cardio at least once a day.
I actually was pretty good on the sweets today and even ate fruit. It seems as if i've gained a few pounds.
What's going on?
