First day of new lifestyle! Also first day here. I'm 37, almost 38. I have about 20 lbs to lose and am hoping to do it in about a month. I want to be down 20 for my B-Day which is June 15. I gained this 20 lbs in a VERY short amount of time! I'm talking like 4 or 5 months! I'm not even sure how it happened, but now of all my clothes are too tight and I'm so depressed! I got fired the beginning of February and just started laying around in bed all day and the pounds just packed on apparently. I'm just looking for any advice or suggestions because I'm determined to get back into all of my cute clothes, not to mention the bathing suit I ordered last year and never got a chance to wear and now it's too small!!!
Hi, I am new to the group. I just turned 30 last month and have been in kind of a funk. I had been doing the c25k and got off schedule at about week four. I have a hard time getting back on schedule if I ever miss a few workouts. I am trying to make myself do it, but I seem to be lacking motivation and energy.

hi there, I'm a newbie also :) it's only been a few days for me - and I have the sore muscles to prove it! But yes I can sympathise with you on trying to be good but having to deal with temptation every time you hit the shops. I cope by not being hungry when I leave, taking a bottle of water with me and keeping a protein bar in my bag. If I get desperate I use that :)

I'm just starting to try and get back into shape. I've been good so far (only since Monday). I find it difficult if I go and run errands at lunch not to pick up a candybar or something else that I shouldn't be eating. Anyone else have this problem?
