I was so happy to see this post this morning.

Honestly, I just turned 30 three months ago but I do not understand anything my body is doing anymore. I got into better shape in my late 20's, took a year or so off and now...

Now I am so confused...I may be losing but I don't know where it is from. And everything that I did before....seems to not be doing anything for me. Whose body is this? It's not mine!

Bizarre Bizarre Bizarre But as Merrrpanda says "WE CAN DO IT!"

ahh i so remember my teens and 20s.. never had to watch what i ate, never gained weight (in fact i was underweight!!) then i started eating healthy food, got my IBS under control, and then i turned 30, and BAM 40 extra pounds in 5 years. it's very hard to get into an exercise routine when you never had to before!

My temper is definitely just like it used to be. Got to simmer down a bit or I won't have any walls left. I decided to be nice and iron my husband's shirts. He's only got friggin hundreds! Plus he's a cowboy so their a pain to iron! I beat a hole in the ironing board with the dang iron!
Something's got to give. I definitely got to blow off some steam! I really want to punch something or kick something! Better wait to do dishes, that's how my plates got broke, now I'm down to five. emoticon

I SOOOO know what you are talking about!! I was 100 pretty much my entire teen years. I ate fast food ALL THE TIME. My lunch consisted of snickers and coke maybe a small bag of chips if I was really hungry! Now I look at it and I gain 5lbs! When I was pregnant with my son at 9 months I was 145....I lost 00 of it but I was in my 20's and slowly gained. People told me as I was getting older that 30 is HARD to lose the weight I didn't believe them....DAMN them for being right! On my 30th Bday I seemed to have gained weight and it just kept coming! Now almost 40 and I am hellbent on taking this weight off!! I lived with it for 18 years too long!!

I actually have a kettleball DVD as well however I tried it once and well got discouraged I am not coordinated AT ALL. I also have knee issues since childhood so running is too hard I do for me as well. I am doing pilates and waling 1.5 miles everyday just because I am slowly gaining my stamina up so I can do more....May have to try the kettleball one more time. I also recommend exercise balls the big ones those are so helpful for back issues and for beginners! Good luck ladies!! :)

I've been wanting to try that. I'm so uncoordinated! Even simple moves I end up doing all wrong. My posture is terrible and I'm too stiff. Is there a way to make myself more flexible?
My weight came on at 30. Went up to 135. Then got pregnant with my last baby gained 24 pounds, all but 10 came off. Then I gained a few more (serious Dr. Pepper addict) up to 155, the I quit pop got down to 146, 6 weeks of exercise I'm only down to 145. That's sad and very slow progress. Somethings gotta give!

Yeah, I was 115 FOR-EV-ER... I swear I used to me able to eat a whole pizza and not gain a pound. It creeped up on me. I tried running too but it really hurt my knees also. Treadmills are ok if you set them on the bouncier setting, whatever they call that. If you can't find something that doesn't hurt then try looking into Kettlenetics. I got the dvd and k-bell on amazon (29.99) and at the end of it I was sweating and my lovehandles were sore. That is the only workout I have ever done where my lovehandles were sore afterwards. That is a good kind of sore.

Lol. I have never been in shape either. So I took my good metabolism for granted in my teens and early twenties. I always stayed around 115. Never even thought about exercise. I tried running the other day and now my knees are hurting. My sister always said I ran stupid, like a drunk monkey on crack. I haven't even tried a push up yet.

Totally agreeing about the food thing. I started this whole healthy thing about 2 months ago because I figured I couldn't feel more tired or more "icky" so change needed to happen now. One month in I was doing so well and I was under calories at the end of the day so I decided to splurge out with my girlfriends and got deep fried green beans. The entire drive home I felt soooooo horrible (not guilty mind you). My stomach was gurgling and I found my self concentrating on not throwing up. Never again. Deep fried is just not what it used to be.

As far as exercise. I was never "in shape". I totally resonated with the comment below about how its never to late to become the person you want to be. I am doing that now. But at 35 many exercises already seem to hurt my joints. I have found that I can handle Yoga and Kettlenetics so I focus on those.

For me, it's eating that makes me realize that I'm getting older (I'm 31). When I was younger, I used to be able to live off of vending machine food, soda, and no sleep and still feel awesome. Now, I need regular meals that consist of good food and a full night's rest or I feel icky. :)

LOL Ladies! I know exactly what you mean, getting to 10 was such a chore for mee just a few short months ago. Even today I am amazed when I easily push out the last of 3 sets of 15! It'll come, keep at it!!

I mean, I know that I'm 35 but when I was a teenager, I could spit out push ups like they were nothing.... Today, not so much. After about 20, I just laid there trying to figure out how to get up without using my arms. emoticon
