I haven't done blood donation since I've been calorie restricting... assumed it would not be a good combo and might lead to fainting. I'm looking forward to doing it again once I'm at goal.

Sounds like fun class!

I skipped my run today trying to catch up on work and personal paperwork. Wheee.

CSCROSSETT, I tried to sign up for a medical study that had it (provided all meals for free), but, sadly was too 'healthy' to qualify.
Anyway, though I did the South Beach Diet back in my 20's, I decided not to follow anything specific this time around. Just keeping my calories counted and eating whatever I could fit into them and still stay full.

MarchAprilMay, Thanks! I'm even more excited today. Looks like Shark Week being over helped me along, I'm only 5lbs from my goal now.

Ugh...trying to get back on track. Tried to rest Friday with a light workout, then hurt my foot Saturday and had to ice it, so couldn't do any exercise really. Even had a salad for dinner to make up for the lack of movement and my weight still wet up. Not much, but, I've been struggling since the beginning, so it's disheartening.

But my foot's getting better, and I was able to do my cardio this morning, and was able to do strength training yesterday, so I'm going to keep at it and hopefully get back to where I was and keep dropping.

Have gotten back on the wagon after a lot of life stuff. Lost 3 pounds and still learning about fitness and nutrition. Doing cardio and strength, and just have to remember to burn lots of calories every day (like 600-700) to see the scale go down. I've also used a tape measure for my waist and hips. Only reason I'm not going to measure arms and legs is with muscle comes definition and inches, but good inches.

Here's hoping and working toward my goal!

Did my first post injury run just now....hurt a bit at the start, and I could tell I was compensating, so I adjusted my stride, which seemed to help. Legs were not too happy after so much time off, but I'm feeling happy - running clears the fog and cobwebs from my head so I can actually appreciate the wonderful life I have. Here's hoping the ole Achilles is happy too...no more setbacks!

For the past two weeks I have been faithfully performing the #Fitin15 by/with Jessica Smith (JessicaSmithTV/YouTube). Today was day 14 and a rest day. Even though it was a rest day I still did 15 minutes of one of her stretch and relaxation videos. It felt wondrous; a combination of yoga and stretching. The full video is 20 minutes, but my sick son distracted me and needed some cuddle time.

When I joined Spark People, I needed to lose about 25 pounds. There was this group for 10-24 pound goals and another for 25-50 pound goals. I was right on the line so I joined both!

I'm so glad that now I'm down to the 20 pound goal mark. The last 10 or 20 are always harder but I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Tomorrow it might hit 40 degrees, it's been below zero and single digits all week. I don't care if it's raining, I'm going to run around outside if it gets that 'hot' out tomorrow. I know I'll take care of this Winter fluff as soon as the nice weather breaks.

I've been "stuck" for awhile. I just can't seem to shed these last 17 pounds. I'm constantly eating over my daily calorie allotment. I'm not going to give up. I will just have to keep trying until I make some progress.

I'm joining the Spark Winter 5% challenge (starts tomorrow) and I'm really excited. Nervous too. The holidays were a mess of awfulness and I went straight to emotional eating which reflected heavily (haha!) on the scale. Yesterday, I cleaned out the pantry and the cupboards of all the junk I made/bought "for company". Today, I plan to get the fridge done. I updated my monthly calendar with my goals and made a list of all the playgrounds Baby & I haven't visited yet to inspire me to walk a little further. I can't wait to get the holidays out of my system, literally & figuratively, and go back to eating the way I know I can.

I've never posted to this board, but I'm super excited and I have to share: I've been at a looong plateau for a number of months and was feeling really discouraged about it. But then for Christmas, my BFF gave me a pair of pants that were a size 8. I was really worried about them, because I've never in my adult life fit into single digit sizes. But, miraculously, they fit perfectly! I'm officially down from a size 24 to a size 8. This was so exciting, and such proof that the scale lies. I may not be losing weight right now, but I'm getting stronger and healthier all the time. Such motivation heading into the new year!

Hi Everyone! Day one went well. I'm having fun getting acquainted with the site and what it has to offer. Here's to a great 2nd day. I'm actually looking forward to my workout today- shooting for a 2 mile jog and some yoga.

It's been raining a lot here in california! It makes walking the dog difficult. But right now, it stopped raining, so no excuses I should get out there and go for a dog walk!
