Welcome! I lost a lot of weight before I found Spark People, and joined for the last few pounds. I like having that online accountability. It really helps. Also, all the little challenges, tips and encouragement around here really help me to stay focused on my fitness/health goals and stay on target! While I haven't actually lost weight, I have definitely lost inches in the last few weeks!

Welcome! I have tried many things to lose weight and paid for websites that offered much less than we have here - for free!!! Reach out to your Spark Friends and use the nutrition tracker! Add any and all exercise you can get in and you are set to go! Ask if you ever need anything!

Hello and welcome. You are going to love this site. Not only will you lose the weight but you will continue to educate yourself about food and finding the right ways to handle it. I used food for so much emotional support. When in theory there was so much about myself that I needed to learn so I used the correct sources to help myself and not kill myself by eating myself to massive overweightness. So far I have lost 35 lbs, feel incredible and I have about 10 more pounds to go. I plan on staying with SP just to keep myself educated, supported by the people on the site and because it is a place for me to track what I am doing to myself each day to extend my life.

Check out the nifty little functions - like the nutrition and fitness tracker, it really makes a difference to me knowing that I have to enter in the data every day - it's kind of like a cyber kick up the bum which is what I need. Oooh and drink your 8 glasses of water a day - makes ALL the difference. Good luck with your goals - shout me if you need anything - we're all in this together.

Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ann and this site is just something for me to try out. I really need to drop some weight for many reasons. Mainly, I don't want to live like this. I want to be happy when I look in the mirror and not feel as though I am a slave to food. I want to be healthy so that I can have a baby with my fiancÚ very soon after we get married. I just want to be comfortable with myself and right now I am not. I have a vacation coming up at the end of next month, let's see how much I can lose...........
