I got up at 5 am and did a Slim In 6 exercise dvd, and still had time to make my breakfast and pack my lunch and snacks for the day at work!!!

This is so very inspiring... I'm doing WW, and have been introduced to Sparkpeople by a dear friend... what an amazing site and community of like minded people! Hi! I'm giving myself a pat on the back for staying strong during the holidays and not wavering (too much) from proper eating. I had one cookie, but stuck to my guns the rest of the time, and it was not easy at all.

I just met my first goal. I was 172lbs as of May 15th, down to 137lbs by July, down to 130lbs today December 10th. I have 5 more pounds for my next goal of 125lbs!!

I'm so excited... and nervous again because I gave a trip coming up. The true test will be if I can maintain my weight while on vacation. Hmm...

I just wanted the readers here to know how proud of myself I am. I weighed in and got measured today and I got some really fine results. Since I began my diet and excersizing on September 9th this year, I have already lost a total of 12 and a half pounds! In five weeks since my last weigh in and measures I lost 7 pounds, wow! Well even if I haven't reached my goal weight, I am getting good results and plan to keep up the good work. Thanks for listening to me brag, haha

I "rejoined" the sparkle team this past week, in hopes of getting back on track. I was to afraid to get on the scale... to see how much weight I gained. But, I braved the scale this morning. To my SHOCK I didn't gain any weight! I'm still 135, but I know that I have lost some of the muscle/tone that I used to have. (Which I'm sure turned to fat)

Overall, I'm feeling pretty good and I am excited to start back into the weekly challenges! I WILL GET MY TONED MUSCLES AGAIN!

My pat on the back would be that I'm doing my best to get back into logging in to SP and tracking my stuff again. I was doing pretty well for awhile but fell off the wagon as far as tracking goes. It's amazing to me that 2 weeks of diet soda (celebrating weight loss, hahaha) can allow a magical 5 lbs back on! So, no more soda and back to tracking!

Life's not about how many times you fall off the horse, it's about how many times you get back in the saddle.

I am eating clean. No flour, no sugar, no alcohol, no processed foods! I have lost 4 pounds this week since I have started and my skin looks amazing! I've found something that works for me! I am so excited. The results are enough to keep me going.

I've been trying to get back into running myself, and I noticed my time has gone from roughly a ten minutes mile (for about a three mile run) to almost a 12 minutes mile. I'm slowly getting back to where I was, and it's so nice to read about people reaching their personal bests!

Congrats everyone! I just started really using the site on Monday and i'm down 4.5 pounds already. I've been making healthier choices, drinking all my water and exercising everyday! Makes such a big difference. I'm hoping the weekend goes just as well!!!

I will reach my goals, not only for myself but to be a wonderful example to my son and even my friends and family.

Hi! This is my first post.

My cancer was diagnosed in 1/08. I had been working on losing weight with SP prior to my diagnosis and had lost 40#. One of my goals during treatment was not to gain back too much weight. Specifically, not to go above 150#. Well, I did...but it wasn't too much.

So, now treatment is done and my cancer is in remission. I have gone back down to under 150#.

I know it's just a number on the scale but it feels like a big hurdle.

I'm still holding at 14 pounds weight loss, but that's ok because I've lost a ton of inches. But most importantly I reached a goal of wearing a pair of pants from before kids with a white t-shirt, tucked in! I haven't tucked a shirt in in over 6 years! Persistence is key!emoticon

I lost inches!!! 2in around the hips and 1.5in around the breast!! (My DH is a bit bummed about that last one) Unfortunately, none around the waist but I'll be happy with what I've got right now. My weight tracker is moving too but I also changed when I weighed myself. The first was just before bed, today was first thing in the morning. I've weighed myself in the a.m. before and am generally 151, so I think I did loose 2lbs.

I passed my Physical Fitness test for the National Guard! Woo hoo! I got to do the step test instead of running for the cardio portion, but now I'm determined to start running so I won't have to "wimp out" the next time. ;)

On July 7th, I was timed at my boot camp at running a mile. I came in at 13 1/2 minutes. Tonight, we re-tested and I came in at 10 minutes 58 seconds!

The number on the scale moves ever so slowly, which discourages me; however, my clothes fit better and I've definitely lost inches. I know, I know, the inches lost is great and that's the goal. But why can't I have both big weight loss AND big inches loss??

This is a great thread! Very inspiring. Tomorrow begins my "offical" following of the meal plan and adding strength training to the cardio I already do. I just read through this whole thread and it was so lovely to see the progress so many have made. It really makes me believe I can do it to!

I'm finally below 130 for the first time since my daughter was born!

And I'm also on an 8-cup-a-day water streak!

Yay to more fruits & veggies! I'm new here, so I'm jumping in. I'm just a week in and I'm stoked that I have lost 2 pounds this week! I'm drinking lots more water and lots less soda and loving seeing my actual calorie consumption here on Spark People. emoticon

finally got around to weighing myself & i'm 134lbs. that was supposed to be my starting weight but when i signed up, i pretty much just guessed my weight. i was off by 2lbs. so i've yet to lose weight. now that i've resumed capoeira & weight trainig, i should see a difference by the end of this week, i hope.

I have been adhering to my 30 minutes a day (or more) activity/exercise since Sunday and have lost 2 lbs this week!!!

I'm still working on the snacking issue but I'm doing much better. If I can lose 2 lbs a week I acn get rid of these 18 in 9 weeks! That's so doable for me!

I had to buy a new lap suit (my main exercise is swimming 2x per week) because I was FALLING OUT of my old one. It was a 14 and I bought a 10.

My husband's jaw dropped when he saw me in it, I kid you not. I couldn't stop looking at myself! I look... like, NORMAL! For the first time in my entire life.

It feels so good to buy new clothes that fit! And a swim suit -- BONUS!

(I'm really short, so don't let my poundage surprise you -- my goal of 108 is at BMI 22...)
