I have been entering it as a new cardio exercise. I just put in the calories and the minutes of the workout. But I was looking around the site the other day and noticed a calendar with strength training days. Right now I am doing the Biggest Loser workout 5 days a week so I'm not sure how I would also get the strength training exercises. I am trying to meet/exceed the weekly calories to burn but also would like to take full advantage of everything the site has to offer.

I would think the game would be more cardio, but some of the exercises you have to do (like squats, lunges, etc) I would think could also be strength training exercises. Not sure if anyone has done any DVD's or other fitness games so I was just curious how everyone is tracking both the strength training exercises and the cardio.

I don't use the video games very often, but you could try using the Wii Fit game options, see if anything fits.

My best recommendation would be to figure out something simple that works for you. Depending on your goals, there are various ways to track it.

Do you just want to track the minutes for the Spark Points or do you want to see the calories burned?

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone's week has gone well so far and you are all having a great weekend. I am doing good so far.

Tomorrow morning will be my third weigh-in since starting Spark People. The first few weeks, I did not do much working out because I wanted to see how much just changing my eating habits would affect my weight. I did well the first week (lost 3.5lbs) and lost 1lb the second week. I am hoping to lose at least 2 lbs this week!

Back a couple years ago, my mom had gotten me the Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout for the Xbox 360/Kinect. Tonight was my first night doing it in a LONG, LONG time LOL. My question is though, how would I track the time I spend doing this since there are a lot of mixed exercises in one routine. (Ex: today was "Circuit training" which included jump rope, squats, side lunges, tap kicks, etc.) Tomorrow will be more of a kick-boxing type of routine? I am not sure if all of these would be considered cardio exercises or if some would be strength exercises. I saw a thread somewhere about workout dvd's that everyone is doing so I was just wondering how you all track the fitness minutes for those workouts.

If all are considered cardio, do you also do separate strength exercises (sit ups, crunches, etc) to meet the strength training days?

Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated!
