In 5 months I've lost 11 pounds! I only drink water, eat TONS of fruit, fiber, and protein! Once I get below 120 pounds I'll be SO STOKED that's like a milestone for me because I haven't weighed under 120 since high school.. right now I'm at 122! But my goal weight is 115-117 pounds... If I can do it anyone can! Stay positive! Hit the gym today and make healthy choices :)

I didn't have pizza for dinner even though my husband did.

first time posting here - last two nights have been overindulgent, but I've gotten my butt up and out for some long walks, and power yoga will happen today.

Yesterday was the first day in 2 years i was able to work out twice. if i can swing it my body responds very well.

Also, shameless promotion. i started a May challenge. this time last year there was a great group of people participating and now that im back id like to see if happen again.

Lost a pound!

The tracker thing rounded it to 2, which is frustrating because I don't want to have a false sense of success, but I am very happy about my 1.2 lbs.

Last week was good, but this week will be better! Last week was my first week getting back on track. I started small.

Well, I'm in the military and live in the dorms on base. I currently have a colony of ants living in my shower, so I've been having to shower at the gym. It gives me a good excuse to go there every day :) But today was a really tough day at work, I was tired, and I just didn't want to do anything. I skyped with my boyfriend for a little bit, and I told him that I probably wasn't going to go to the gym tonight, or that I'd just do a few jumping jacks in my room and go to bed. We're on our weight loss journey together, and he told me that he got his butt out of bed to go to the gym, so I'd better follow suit! I ended up getting a really great weights session followed by a very sweaty 25 minutes on the bike. And yes, I got my shower :)

After 4.5 weeks of not doing any exercise, putting on about 7 or 8 lbs on top of the weight I was already not happy with, and after 6 months of not even logging into SparkPeople since the week I signed up... I am returning to both the site and the gym with zeal. 30 min of cardio and 20 min of weights today, and I've started up my trackers. Let the physical and mental metamorphosis begin! emoticon

I turned down an invite for all you can eat Thai Brunch for Sunday. I felt guilty because if I don't go my friend won't go on her own (she had plans to go with someone else but they had to cancel). I was even considering changing my mind but I firmly told myself no. emoticon

I had to be in work 30 minutes earlier today, but instead of skipping my morning workout I made myself get up 30 minutes earlier (meant 4:30am today). I am not a morning person but I felt great after. Being Friday, a co-worker brought in amazing muffins as a kind gesture for our team. I was happy with myself when I did not eat a muffin but instead stuff to my healthier breakfast choices. :)

I started my blog after one year being in Sparkpeople. And I started my hunger eating life. No more dieting, no more calorie counting, no more tracking and obsessing. eating when hungry, stop when full and live my life. I will update and see how it goes. :)

Rissabear, It sounds like we have similar new goals. I have a decent cardio plan but I'd love to eat cleanER (I don't think I could ever be a totally clean eater) and I have to get a real ST routine going. Where are you starting?

My success of the day was that I successfully ran up this brutal hill without walking. It's part of a run my husband and I have been doing together once or twice a week for the past few weeks. This is only the second time I've made it to the top without walking, and I've been proud of myself both times. It's really inspiring to read everyone's success stories on this thread. Reading both the big successes and the small are an inspiring reminder that the small successes are what add up to the big. Thanks for sharing, everyone!

I started to ride my bicycle to work last week (7 km or 4.6 miles) and today it was raining but I just put on my raincoat and did not let bad weather stop me. I am so glad I did not make excuses! emoticon

Hey guys! I'm happy because I got to use a gym today :) I'm staying in a hotel and I'm so happy that the gym is on my floor! I don't belong to a gym at home because it is too expensive. I miss being able to use the elliptical and free weights. It was a great workout. Happy that I did something great for my body today. Also have been off to a great start with nutrition -- setting myself up for a great rest of the day. I will probably go out with friends tonight and I'm going to stick to limiting myself to 2 light beers.

This is actually yesterday's success but thats ok. While out doing my interval walk/jog my sister called while I was jogging. My jogging interval is only supposed to be 2:15 but I jogged for 6 MINUTES while talking to my sister on the phone!! This is evidence that when I feel like I will just barely make it to the 2 minute mark- it is most likely my MIND not my BODY saying that! Great feeling and inspiration to push harder because now I KNOW I CAN!

I just joined Spark People on 5/3/13 and I have been tracking my food and water intake everyday without fail...I track the good and the bad but I love it because I am held more accountable which makes me more conscious.

Today my success story was grabbing a decent breakfast instead of stopping at dunkin like I really wanted to. I also brought a planned snack to work for this afternoon.

I started Sparkpeople yesterday but I have been working out and trying to eat healthy for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I have lost so far 9 lbs and this morning when I woke up I wanted to hit the snooze button. But... I didnt!! emoticon Now I need to try and work out after work but that is always hard for me..I guess we'll see :)

My daily success is what led me to join this group today!

I lost 2lbs, .5 of an inch on my waist, and it brought me above a 1/4th of the way to my end goal!

All this added up to bring me below 25 lbs left to lose, so I rewarded myself by joining this group :)

This seems really silly but my daily success story is that I got out of bed early this morning and made smoothies for my husband and myself. I'm usually a grab a granola bar on the way out the door kind of girl but I had a plan this morning and stuck to it.

My boyfriend brought home pizza tonight and I managed to not have one single slice! I had already eaten and tracked for the day when he got home so he decided to save the pizza for tomorrow (when I'll have planned ahead and made room in my tracker for it!). So happy that I didn't just gorge on it because it was there. Woohoo!

I had a 9 mile run last night and I packed a bag to change at work so I could just drive to the trail where I run and get in the whole thing before it got dark outside.

Also... a month from today is my first marathon!

Gosh where to start? I'm on a 10 day streak of exercise and tracking food, I've lost 7lbs (waiting for my weigh in in Sunday to make it official) and tonight I ran 3.3 miles without stopping to walk and averaged 9:52mins a mile-fastest I've been for a while!

Today was a JOLLY GOOD DAY, and I can see it has been for a lot of other people. Well done everyone!

I was in Target and hadn't had lunch yet, and I passed the Easter candy! Man, I wanted some malted eggs so badly, but you know if I bought a bag I'd eat the whole thing in one sitting... So, I walked past and went to go get the mushrooms and onion I needed for tonight's fish dinner. :) YES!
