Does anyone else have the same problems as me,LOL? My family and I have such a hectic schedule....sometimes we have to eat out(fast food). I'm good about not getting anything but a diet coke for myself but then later when I get home I end up over doing it so to speak. I have a snack here and a snack there and then I feel so guilty.

BUBBASMOMMA2-I used to be a dance teacher, so I understand where you are coming from. I feel like this isn't my body and I just want to get back to normal!

Thanks for your advice. I know that I should not feel guilty about working out and my dh is really good about supporting me, but is hard. I want to be there with him and also get healthy. Once it gets warm out again, I plan on taking him with me on walks and hiking and stuff. I guess it is just hard b/c it is winter here and so dang cold outside! But we all need to remember that it is important for us to stay healthy and be active for our children!!

I'm sorta new here. More like I'm actually finally getting involved in sparkpeople. But I'm also a mommy to 2 beautiful boys and trying to lose the weight and just get in better shape. I had my most recent child in June of 2007. We just moved to a house but I find I'm out of breath just running around the yard with my 3 year old so I needed to make a change. I used to be a gymnast and taught gymnastics for almost 6 years. I quit my job after 1 year with my first born and now I can barely walk around the block with out being tired. And I too feel guilty sometimes because the only time i have is sometimes while he is a wake (since he doesn't always take naps) and he is constantly trying to get my attention while i work out.So i end up not doing it. Thank Goodness for sparkpeople! it aleast gives me the motivation to keep trying and know there are people out there like me. :)

Sarah, you shouldn't feel guilty. I used to be like that if I would workout after work and not pick baby up right away. Then, I really thought about and how important it is for me to have my time and be healthy. If I'm not healthy now, then I definitely won't be able to do the things my dd wants to do as she gets older and more active.

My biggest focus lately is portion control. Last night I made chicken and dh looked at me and acted like I was trying to starve him. I had just cooked what had already thawed out, didn't add any to it. I figured that if he wanted more, he could find something to eat. I don't feel like being a party to him overeating all the time!!

LET'S GO MOMMIES!!

I am a mother of 1 and he is 2 years old. I have lost all of my baby weight per say...but I was heavier than I wanted to be before I got pg...so I am trying to lose weight I should have before....it is hard. I get down 5 or 6 lbs...stall out and then gain it all back. It is very frustrating...plus I feel so guilty if I am out at the gym or exercising at home and not spending time with my son...anyone else feel that way?

I am new to sparkpeople, but on the other page I belong to-babycenter.com, we try to respond to as many people as possible (sorry about the abbreviated names, gotta get to bed!). We can sort of start a 20 something mama club if you want!

MRCA- gym? Its impossible to get there with the little one, the family, and work. I work out at home when she's asleep!
CreativeColors- Congrats on the new baby. Our babies are a month apart.
SignMickey- I have a 6 year old stepson and like FFX says learning to serve balance meals, especially to pickey eaters, is a struggle for me.
FFX- One of the hardest things is trying to eat healthy while everyone else in the house still eats what they want, so getting everyone into balanced meals will help me...now I have to get them to eat what I serve:)
PPETTINGILL - When was your baby born? My daughter was born Nov 27. Half the reason I can't loose weight is because my pelvis hasn't returned to normal and working out is really hard. Hope you are healthy! I munch on the 100 calorie packs with a big glass of milk or water. They usually do the trick for me! Oh, sometimes I'll have raisin bran or other "healthy" cereal.

Hi girls...25yr old mommy of 3 here! My newest little addition was born in nov. of 2007. It has been quite a struggle to loose the weight this time around. I do work out on a regular basis but its the night time cravings for sweets that get me, along with the fact when I get stressed I want to eat. Any suggestions?

I am 29 with 1 year old daughter. I didn't gain during pregnancy, but did afterward! It really is hard to try to lose while playing mommy. Sometimes by her bedtime, I'm so beat that I don't feel like working out. The one thing that has been easier, though, is that it is more important to me now that I feed my family balanced meals.
Good luck!

Hi! I'm a mommy of 2. My son is 3 and my daughter just turned 1. It's really hard to get to the gym with the two of them. But I figure that they keep my running 24/7 so it's okay!

I just had a baby in November and that is why I am on here! Between getting pregnant and now I went from a size 6 to a 13. Yikes! Anyone else trying to loose baby weight or loosing weight while trying to raise a family?
