join the crowd like most people on sp i love to eat,i love to cook and love to eat what i cook .what allergies have your sons? mine is highly allergic to egg and peanuts(stops breathing) and allergic to e additives which is in almost everything.along with things like grass,birch and dust.
OThe main reason I develope most of the recipes I do is because most of my life I have had to cook for family members with allergies (2 sons), heart condition (my late husband) and diabetics (myself).
If I can be of help to you, Please let me know. I prefer not to use convenience foods. I do use frozen vegetables. And 95% of my cooking is all from scratch. Is there any other way. I would not have to lose the weight I do if I did not love to cook and also eat my cooking.

canīt join in on this conversation i am afraid because of my sonīs allergies we have to make everything from scratch even bread.i asume you are talking about a dough for crosants and a puff pastry type dough?either way they sound easy and tasty but not to sure on the calorie count because of the dough,especially the one for crosants which is just butter.
Ever try Pillsbury bread dough. I lay it out and in the middle put left over meatloaf and then fold all sides and cut slits in top. Bake at 350 for 20 min and you have calzone. You can put anything in it, even tried marshmallow, chocolate and jam,another time put in nuts. Grandkids loved it. Then I take the Pillsbury dinner rolls and I roll them out and cut in pieces and roll in sauce and cheese, or just cheese if you like. Bake at 350 for l0 min, till brown. They go like hot cakes.
