Karen, I am now the grandmother of 2 very allergic children. They are allergic to grasses, eggs, all kinds of nuts, furry animals, preservatives, soy products etc.

It is a good thing my 4 children grew up helping in the kitchen. My 3 sons can cook better than their wives.

When you have children with multiple allergies, you learn to be very creative. You find ways to make thier favorite food from scratch.

Good luck in you search for recipes. If we as a team can help, just post the question, and I am sure someone will come to your assistance.

AS for calorie counts. I post all calorie counts for my recipes. I have a very extensive data base of calories and when I do use something like crescent rolls. I enter the calories into the data base.

OThe main reason I develope most of the recipes I do is because most of my life I have had to cook for family members with allergies (2 sons), heart condition (my late husband) and diabetics (myself).

If I can be of help to you, Please let me know. I prefer not to use convenience foods. I do use frozen vegetables. And 95% of my cooking is all from scratch. Is there any other way. I would not have to lose the weight I do if I did not love to cook and also eat my cooking.

canīt join in on this conversation i am afraid because of my sonīs allergies we have to make everything from scratch even bread.i asume you are talking about a dough for crosants and a puff pastry type dough?either way they sound easy and tasty but not to sure on the calorie count because of the dough, especially the one for crosants which is just butter.

I use the crescent sheets and fill them with almost all different kinds of left overs that can be heated. Rolll them up jelly roll style, slice and bake. Make great appetizers.

Ever try Pillsbury bread dough. I lay it out and in the middle put left over meatloaf and then fold all sides and cut slits in top. Bake at 350 for 20 min and you have calzone. You can put anything in it, even tried marshmallow, chocolate and jam, another time put in nuts. Grandkids loved it. Then I take the Pillsbury dinner rolls and I roll them out and cut in pieces and roll in sauce and cheese, or just cheese if you like. Bake at 350 for l0 min, till brown. They go like hot cakes.
