Fruit desserts are my favorites. I like to make cobblers, crisps, tarts and compotes. I use fresh fruit if I have it but have used the canned pie fillings too. I got the premade graham cracker individual tart shells a couple of times just get the containers. I'll make up a dozen or so and then freeze them so I have individual portions handy.

I also like to make fruit compotes by layering fruit, yogurt and angel food cake.

Smart Balance is a butter alternative. It comes in plastic containers mostly. It's in the refrigerator section of the supermarket.

I was double checking the recipe to see if I had the ingredients to make this tonight. What is Smart Balance?? I was thinking it was a brand of butter, but in the directions I noticed it said to add brown sugar and splenda, but that wasn't listed in the ingredients. I must not be familiar with that brand name.
