I'm a team leader myself, and I myself found the Digests to be... mildly annoying. LOL
It isn't a bad thing to have them, but if my team members are like me, I get 100-200 emails a day without them-- and since we have an intro thread and other ways of getting the info out, it just seemed a bit redundant.
I rarely read them, but I did like the idea of getting a weekly reminder to check on my team. Even more than that though, I appreciate that SP really listens to the members!
Thanks again!... Kathy
"The real secret of success is enthusiasm..." thanks, Walter P. Chrysler. I believe it. That's what I want in my life--to give my imagination a chance, to live with energy and enthusiasm!
Ralph Waldo Emerson said 'Life belongs to the energetic.' But you don't have to be frenetic and hyper--some energy is quiet and steady, like a heartbeat... and that works too! LOL
Life comes in specific increments, which we receive as a gift of one moment at a time. That's why it's called
DJHEILMANN Date: 3/8/2010 - 12:04 PM Subject: Note about automated Team Digest emails Message: Hello SparkTeam leaders
We've had a number of members say we are sending too many emails, with our automated weekly Team Digests being one complained about a lot. This is the automated emails we send on Sundays with things like new posts and members from the past week.
Today we opted everyone out of these Team Digests. However all members can opt back in to keep receiving. We put a note about this in yesterday's digest, and also posted an announcement on the site. We wanted to let our SparkTeam Leaders know about this too. If you feel your Team members really like the automated Digests I'd encourage you to post or SparkMail to your Team about this change. You can see our announcement here:
