I'm getting ready to go to my belly dancing class. I don't feel too good. I have little stabbing pains in my shoulder that are referring down my arm and making me pretty uncomfortable. But I'm going to go out anyway and hope I come home feeling better.

I met the teacher at farmers market. She had a bad knee, which is why classes were not given. When her knee is all the way healed She will start again. I told her I was working on stomach to isolate She was surprised I was doing that before my first class.

We went for dinner at a bar we frequent because we can eat late. One of the patrons was not having a good night until we showed up. He needed to see a couple of positive people in his life that he had not seen for a while. He made Mike think about taking better care of me.
The infection is not getting worse. Ma be a little better. Yogurt is one of my favorite consumption's, but not with antibiotics.

On the 23 March I slipped on a rock and landed on one. Turned a lovely purple. Neosporin and a banded. sufficient. Yesterday I went to the Dr. and he gave me antibiotics Not a good pink. That's why Exercise in the car, no leg work.

almost vegan Beans rice squash onion garlic leek. Made 3 meals 1 /4 Lb. turkey. Been working on isolation fighting scars.

$28 for a dvd is ouch? hehe
I have bought some dvds that were 40 for 1 hour long information.
i just bought keti sharif's dvd set 1001 belly dance moves
3 dvds $100 and over5 hours of instruction.
I don't mind setting aside more money if the dvds have in depth info I might not find anywhere else.

I have a few nice dance dvd's
I especially like Ranya Renee. She really goes out of her way to explain the moves. She also really gets into the flavor and emotion of the moves which I love.
Do check out Rosa Noreen, who teaches in Portland Maine, and I believe will be performing at the Las Vegas Belly Dance intensive this year. She has a ballet background and is a tiny bit of a thing, but she really likes to emphasize those pauses and it really adds to the dance.
Alia Thalbit is all about breaking out of the boxes you've constructed for yourself. It's not about the moves: it's about the way YOU move.
Amity Alize is my hometown teacher and she is nothing short of amazing. I could watch her dance allllll day. She will be starting on line classes this winter. Go ahead and contact her: maybe she needs a guinea pig!

Where are you getting your online classes? I know you can sign up for classes with Suhalia, but they are pretty pricey- I would love to expand that bit of my dance knowledge (although I should really work through the gazillion dance dvds I have )

Just started a drum solo class.
Doing 2 on line classes now: an improv one with Alia and a "delicious pauses" one with Rosa Noreen
Next week I perform with a group doing a sword Choreo
And soon after that I start an Isis wings class.

Last friday we got a 8 foot bed on our truck filled with wet hardwood not split. I could barley slide them. so we went back Saturday and loaded it again.
Just made stew and put squash in it,just to get more vegetable in it. oops just remembered I did not put a bay leaf in yet.

In Israel we start the week on Sundays so its diffeent from u guys. I was a bit sick lately so I can't wait to get back to working out. I feel like I miss it even though lately I've been feeling I am stuck in a rut. I want to be brave and try new things at the local gym. Someone told me "life begins when your comfort zone ends" so I think I should step out of my comfort zone and try Spinning, Yoga and Zomba and then pick my exercise of choice. I don't believe in suffering through weight loss so I want to find an exercise I enjoy besides belly dancing. xoxo from Tel Aviv

We have bad habits in our background, about eating. Just recognising them makes a deference. Learning what is seasonal and local keeps more vitamins in them. Probably one more week of leaks at the farmers market. So I spent $1.25 on veggies. parsley is fine but just one plant. Free eggs. Capon from Coop for farmers market bought mushrooms.

I'm gonna get some time in on the eliptical tonight... I'm thinking of trying a zumba class, it's not belly dancing - but its the closest group dance-ish activity that I know of around here that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Has anyone else trie zumba? what did you think of it?
