This is my favorite group to watch.
I love how various colors shapes and sizes are part of the group and they are all equally talented. I love their style as well.

Oh ... classic Aida Nour!! A woman after my own heart. I LOVE HER! I've had the chance to study with her lately and I love it. She's my teacher's teacher, so it's kind of like she's my dance Grandma ! LOL.

I love Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara, Ansuya, Jillina and Sadie. I love to watch vintage Belly dancers like Samia Gamal as well! Plus she has the most fabulous costumes!

Anasma Vuong - www.youtube.com/user/anasmadance She improvises many of her performances and she uses belly dance (plus other forms of dance) to tell entire stories without saying a word. She is amazing.

Just popping in to answer. I have seen some of the dancers mentioned and they are very talented. Personally, a favorite of mine is a bit different style, a dancer from Morocco who placed in the World Bellydancing Championship named Fadwa. There is a clip here from one of her performances for those who may not be familiar:

My favorites tend to change from time to time but two that always remain in my top 5 are Rachel Brice and Sharon Kihara. Both are amazing.

Right now Zoe Jakes is my favorite...but honestly my favorite dancers to watch are just average people (especially bigger dancers) on youtube. It just makes me feel good to see women that aren't rail thin belly dancing in public. :)
Such a hard decision!! I couldn't narrow it down to one dancer, but some of my faves are Mardi Love, Ariellah, Mira Betz, Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara and Samantha(Hasthorpe)Emanuel. For group work, I just love Unmata, for starters. I love them all for very different reasons. I have workshopped with and have seen all of them live, except for Unmata and Rachel, just waiting for their next trip to Canada! Oh, and if you are Canadian, you may be familiar with Audra Simmons of the Dark Side Studio in Toronto, so much grace, a beauty to watch :)

I recently went to a Kismet Festival here in Dallas and there were two local dancer that were absolutely amazing...Yeli yelibelly.com Who I might add makes the best chocolates on the PLANET! and a young girl named Veda...the girl has the spine of a jelly fish and is just wonderful to watch :) The young veda could give rachael brice a run for her money lol

Rachel Brice is amazing, the control is like no other and she is a fun person to meet, very down to earth.
I also really enjoy Ansuya as well.

Definitely Rachel Brice, but I took a workshop from Zoe Jakes, and she has a spirit about her...awesome! I also love FatChance. There's a couple local troupes, Kashmir and Dragomi that are just mesmerizing too.

Without a doubt, Rachel Brice. The woman takes it to a whole new level.

Never underestimate the value of getting out of your own way.
Great topic for chatting! I would have to say troupe wise it would be Heavy Hips. Gorgeous troupe work. Solo my favorite tribal is Mira Betz and non tribal is Didem :)

I have to pick just one? I cant... so here are a few =) each has a different aspect!
First I have to pick Ariellah. She is fluid and dark and creepy and beautiful at the same time! She is also a very nice person!
Then Jeniveva from NY... she does the best 9/8 fusion I have ever seen! She is also dark and creepy and sexy at the same time. Sexy isnt bad! She infuses her dance with so many aspects of so many things, and is able to be theatrical and comical with herself.
For groups... I love Unmata, they push the limits and "design" of bellydance! and its all IMPROV! they use long combonations of fun moves to create a fast and exciting dance!

I thought that I might try to get us talking more.
My favorite is Lucy. She is always so fun and beautiful but never overly sexual.
