From my understanding the HESI test is pretty much a test to determine if you will pass your boards or not. A practice test. At my school if you don't pass your hesi with a score 700 or more you can't take your boards. I am also terrified of the hesi because we have to take it too and only 3 ppl passed it last semester. I won't be taking it until May because we take it after our 2nd semester (LPN) and 4th semester (RN).

I'm sorry, what does hesi stand for? I'm not in my school's nursing program yet (but I'm finished with everything, have applied and just waiting for notification), but I am taking Intro to pharmacology this quarter-it's only a 5 week course (as well as dosage calculations, which I just finished.). Today was my first day in pharm. I loved dosage calculations, and it was a breeze for me. But I have pharm once a week and my teacher already has us doing a 50 point quiz the second week of class! Also you can only miss 4 points and still get a 4.0 in his class...yikes! All there is to be graded is 4 tests, and I believe each problem on each test is worth more than one point.
Anyway, hi everyone, I guess I should introduce myself :) I'll go do that now.

I'm sorry I don't think I'd be much help. I'm great at the calculations, but I'm horrible at keeping drug info in my head. I'm not sure I'll ever pass such a test myself. Isn't that what drug books are for? LOL

My pharm hesi is coming up-does anybody have any tips about how I should study for this-I have heard that most people in my school usually don't do too well, so any suggestions would be great!!!
