Hello all:

Just completed the 6 day makeover and lost 8 lbs. Lost some around the waist! Feeling great!

Started the 6 week program today. Want to loose 40 lbs. overall.

It's helpful to log in Sparkpeople to keep track.

Looking for encouragement to keep going. Had started martial arts, but just found out I may have an achilles avulsion (bad news), so have to quit that for awhile. Will find out soon what the remedy is, but was told I need to keep the ankle/leg immobile for probably a month. This will keep me motivated to stay on the plan.

Onward and upward!

I'm exhausted too! I'm tracking regularly and so far losing (approx) a half inch a week! I have no idea if that is considered "normal" but ...I'll take it! LOL! The weigh-in is on the 10th (Friday) so I do know I've lost some pounds (I just love that tape measure). I'll post the NEW weight as soon as I return home from the doctor; probably will be running to the computer!

It seems that there isn't too much of a regular "presence" here but hopefully the team will keep going. There isn't a 6WKB presence anymore at Provida but I'm still here! emoticon

Hey everyone, well, I am extremely tired tonight,
I made my brother an ice box fruit cake like my mother made in 1950's. Hers is different
from any you can find online, as we did not always have the ingredients and so she substituted
and then added extras so her cake was a little different. I made 10 loaf size cakes and they
will be distributed around to family members that like it...so really do and others really don't.
I usually load mine with pecans, walnuts, black walnuts, brazil nuts. Did not have brazil nuts
yet in the stores...that is my favorite part...and the pecans are hard to find for some strange
reason and if you do they are outrageous in price.

Tomorrow is my last day on the challenge, and to be honest, I am glad. I had to leave the
house so very early this morning for a dr. appointment I did not log my breakfast. Then so
busy running here and there and doing things, I have not gotten around to logging anything
else. Now I do not want to. I do know my calories are very low as I have not taken the time
to eat supper at all. I am not hungry so may skip it.

I will say good bye to all of you. I hope someone will come here and not let the team die.
God bless and take care.

Caroline

Hey everyone, I forgot to come here yesterday, as it was a busy day.
All is good. My two weeks will be up Wednesday and Thursday we head out of town
for our little mini vacation to Florida.
My scales moved down half a pound yesterday. It is a hard matter for me to lose weight.
Yall can drop 5 lbs. over nite it seems, but not this ole girl.

I am fixing to go to Walmart and find some cheese cloth as I am making that apple cider
vinegar. I have a jar going 4 weeks old...must go 6-8 weeks. I am making more because
I got 18 lbs. apples to dehydrate, and hate to throw away the core and peelings. I got me
a peeler, slicer, corer off ebay and love that thing. So, I will dehydrate the best part and
do apple cider from the cores, but also make Jakob a jar or two of apple jelly.

It turned colder here last night, and no, I did not get the quilt ready in time. I do have a closet
full already, but it was just a deadline for me.

I hope and pray each of you get things in a peaceful order in your life. Out side our life it
seems is anything but peace. God bless and I hold each of you I have met in my heart.

Hey everyone...day 8 here. Now I am at the point where I do not have a need for the challenge.
Tracking has taken hold.
Not much going on here. DH and I went to yard sales. Lady have me some things like cut
glass creamer pitchers. They had a restaurant and closed. These look like carnival glass and
very pretty. If I could reach through the computer to you I would give each of you one...if you
like that sort of thing. They will be passed around to others who might want one.

It is getting late here, but wanted to report in.

Have a great weekend and God bless.

Hey everyone,
No TOPS is not expensive...$3.00 a month. And that is to buy achievement awards like
charms to go on a bracelet they give you. If too much money gets in the treasury, they will
usually do something to get it back low again.

emoticon emoticon emoticon
Ok, I got my report at Curves today and I lost 3.25 lbs. weight, but 3.74 lb. of fat.
the other was muscle gained. I gained half a pound of muscle. yay! I did not understand that at first. She said that what I lost was 100%
fat. I lost 5 inches, and I was the monthly best loser of weight and inches.
emoticon
I only had 13 workouts....do you see what difference it makes. Oh, my food is cutting back
on fats (MT) and refined carbs (MT) and TRACKING til the end of the day. Keep those
calories from going too high. I had to stop taking some blood pressure medicine (just 2x week) because my blood pressure was dropping good without it and I got to where I was
about to pass out going from the den to the kitchen. Now I feel better. Not so low now.
Yeah, that cider vinegar brought it down too so had to lay off that for now.

I reckon when this challenge is over I will say goodbye to all of you. I have been here
since 2011, and met some of the most wonderful people I could ever hope to meet.
Just got a feeling everyone else from the old group has already left and I didn't know it.

Well, God bless and remember all it takes is being mindful.

Good morning to each of you...

Well I am so bad about tracking I need to write it down then track for the whole day. I am having trouble with getting my water in. I am truly trying but sometimes water doesn't sit well on my tummy.

GAMMAH==how do you like TOPS?? Is it expensive??? I also do Curves except for the past year I have been on medical hold due to surgeries, Not sure if I will go back due to finances. May I ask what state do you live in??? I live in IN.

I am going to make lasagna for my crew for tonight & for the church luncheon I am planning on making chili.

Have a good day everyone

Hey everyone,
I have logged every day so far. I mean completely logged...tracked.
This is as important to me as eating pop as I always fail to finish up the day tracking.

D H wanted spaghetti today. I do not eat much beef at all as cows do not like me.
So, I could not use ground beef. Not ground turkey anymore as they gave a program at
TOPS on how ground turkey is the worst as far as being loaded with
bacteria, and probably antibiotics. So, no ground turkey.
What to use?? I got out some chicken tender breasts and sauteed them in a little Smart heart
flaxseed oil. Then I too my Vidalia onion chopper and chopper the chicken tenders into little
tiny cubes. Wow! What a nice spaghetti sauce it made...clean, clean, clean. Very low in calories as the prepared sauce was 40 cal. per half cup. I threw in a half bag of onions, peppers, and celery. It was not bad but very tasty after I added my own seasonings too.
We had green beans and I fixed dh some biscuits adding some garlic and herbs seasoning
and put them in a cast iron pan and browned them on top of the stove for a bit, and then
put them in the over at 425 degrees and zapped the tops good. They came out "crunchier"
than my regular biscuits, but that was the idea. Make them more toastie. DH ate 3 as he
does not get a treat like that often. He told me he put syrup on the last one...yuck! Sweet
on savory?? Anyway it was a good tasting piece of bread.

I skipped Curves to help dh work in the yards today. We cut bushes, and sawed some little
sapplings down. Put brush killer on what we cut. It was a bit warm so we sweated good for
about an hour.

I am proud I am still on the challenge.
Have a good evening and God bless.

Caroline

SHAKERATTLEROLL, it is ok. Glad you are back with "us". We have all been there.
Take it easy with those jumping jacks. I still hesitate with those things.

Went to curves and I lost abt. 4 lbs. for the month. I say that because I am not sure if it is little
more as I do not know the exact lbs. when I started but for sure four.
I had gained a little at first, so this is
below what I started with.
She will tell me the details tomorrow as she could not do it today since we were
having a class at recovery board times. Those can be killers, and so glad when
we get back on the machines.

I was down about half a pound this morning. But look to bounce a little.

God bless and have a great week.

Good morning everyone. Sorry I haven't been here for a while but I was just am ashamed to have to admit that I quit for a while because I lost the determination. Told you I need variety I am having a hard with it especially for breakfast any suggestions??? I usually have egg whites & oatmeal. Would anyone want to share with me what they eat in a day??? I do have good news though I was able to do a jumping jack yesterday & I did 10 this morning. I had a hip replacement a year ago so for me this is a big thing especially at my weight. Ok I ranted enough.

With the CHILI recipe that was posted is it made in the crockpot or on stove??

Praying all is well with each of you.

Congrats to you GAMMAH for your weight loss.

Hey everyone
I lost 2.25 since our challenge.
I did not go and weigh in at curves as it was
Raining So I opted out.
How are you all doing?
I think Michael thurman and I will work together tomorrow. He always makes my heart tick like it ought to.
Did not accomplish a lot today but still stayed busy.
Have a good evening.

Hey everyone
Ok the day is over for me and drinking my last glass of water.
I had oatmeal this morning which I hardly ever eat. Now I know why it caused acid stomach in past. It was the milk on it. I try not to drink much milk any more. It stayed with me and was so yummy with the dehydrated strawberries I did late spring. Can't wait to do more next year. I did not have the liver we had leftover salmon chowder we needed to eat. I will see how it all goes tomorrow at curves and later at TOPS.
A new week coming up so let us all plan for a great new week.

God bless

Hey everyone,
Well, I made it through the day. I think I will post on the fridge an assortment of snacks.
What to snack on...sometimes I forget what I have.
I got 8000 steps today and the curves circuit so that is good.
Got two borders on the quilt and another cut out. Stopped at a church yard sale and got
some free Tupperware canisters for my brother. He had some that did not seal good and
I think these will work for him.

Tomorrow will be...ta da!!... liver and onions! Ok, I know a lot of people do not like liver.
This is baby calf liver and I need the hyalouronic acid from it as it is suppose to be good
for that mytral valve...don't ask me how. We were going down to the Broadway Diner to
get our liver but they put that MSG in it and then we pay for it the next day. Poison!!

I don't think my weight has started to go down much, if at all, as the fat is turning to muscle
and suppose to weigh more...you know. Any way I will have my first month accessment
on Monday (Curves) and they will do BMI and measure me so that can help tell the story.

Ok, our challenge is rolling along...come on in...there will be a prize for those staying pop
during this two week period.,...yes, a nice prize. If yall don't come in I will just have to give
it to myself.
God bless and have a great day tomorrow.

Thanks, Gammah! I just try to keep up with the calories to keep myself in "check" sorta'. It helps me stay focused, too, of what I'm putting in my mouth. I went ahead and ate just ONE of the "Snacks" but that was it! I'm learning to ask a lot of questions when I go out to eat. At first I was a little nervous but I said: "Hey, it's MY money"! The cooks were very nice and added extra veggies for me. The big plus was it was No Charge to do it. He was doing it as a courtesy! God IS faithful! We're on this road to Recovery learning as we go emoticon

CHALEYATWINS, I would not know. The others have been at it longer than I have.
But, I will say this, I probably would skip snack. There may have been a bit more oil
on the shrimp and chicken than realized. I would guess the calories would be enough
for the snack too. I think you picked a very nice lunch. Makes me want to go out and
get some of that. Put it in SparkPeople tracker and see if you are going over the calorie
range you like....but bear in mind, I do not think MT does calories.

I was POP today....yay...day 1
I went to curves and for evening meal a protein drink with almond milk and a banana...I
know that is not MT, but I am not really doing that right now. Also, the banana is not good at
night, but it got me back on those protein drinks. I needed that shove. My calories are
in a good range so I am happy. Still getting my steps in for today.

Working on me and DH a new quilt for our bed for this winter. It is quite lovely and coming
along. Just sewing some borders together to go around it. I will take a pic when I get it
finished....better hurry, it is turning a bit nippy outside.

Have a great day, and yawl come back now, ya hear!!

Please suggest....My husband and I went out to lunch (Fridays-no school for him!) However, I had grilled chicken/shrimp (made sure there wasn't any sugar dressings while cooking), rice noodles, and lot's of onion and zucchini (and I mean EXTRA vegetables piled on! Well, the problem is this: after lunch I HAD NO APPETITE for the Snack hours later! Do I go ahead and EAT the Snack (protein/carb A or B) or Skip it? Thanks to anyone who can help answer this one emoticon

Hey everyone.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about these weight issues the past few days.
First....let me get this off my chest...I saw a picture taken of me at church a couple weeks
ago, and yuck!!! I was probably the fattest lady there. Ok, most are from a family of
"runs in the family to be skinny", but some are not, and they are not fat. They eat more
than I do at these church dinners. They do not move as much as I do in a day. They do
not have to struggle with their weight simply because of their genes.
I have been sloooowly losing, but someone my size should be dropping pounds a bit quicker.

One thing I think that may be working against me is how I track my food. I started tracking
on my ipod...easy and convenient. Love it. But, I will do breakfast, and totally forget to track
the rest of day. Before, I would track on the computer and was in the habit of coming back
to it throughout the day and log my food. It also means I do not come to my teams like I did.

I apologize for not being here for you all. I have two weeks before a trip (has nothing to do
with wanting to lose weight for it) and I want to get in the habit during this time of coming
and logging on to SparkPeople.
Get back to my old way of doing things. I have me a little calendar that I will mark off for
my "POP" days. I am coming up with some menus to use the next couple weeks.
After my trip I will do this again and maybe it will be for a lot longer.

Abby, my gal, I sure do miss you.
Heather, boohoo!, where are you?
Michele, you sweet precious person, please come back.
Sharon, my dear friend, you inspired me so much. I will throw out a challenge if you will
come back.
LA, you know you are our momma. We need our momma.
Newbies, I would like to get to know all of you a little better.

Ok, I will report in everyday whether anyone is here or not.
God bless and have a great weekend.

Caroline

Checking in. Hope all are well and still on plan. Caroline, thx for the beans tip. I wondered why I wasn't having gas as usual!! You are so smart!!

I have barely been hanging in there for the past two weeks. No weight lost, none gained. This is a new week and I truly hope to get it together. I really MUST cook.

Shakerattleroll, yes beans are allowed.
But watch portion allowed. While high in fiber
They are still a lot of calories ( my opinion)
For little half cup. I can eat beans any time of
Day. Love them. If there is no yeast in one's gut
From, say bread, and no sugar to feed it, then
They do not hurt the tummy nor cause gas.
People are amazed and doubt me when I say this.

I had a sick boy home from school all last week. Then I
Caught it because he just loves to love on grandma.
I am holding my own. Two things affected my scale. One was
A rotisserie chicken loaded with MSG and some BBQ sauce
Loaded with same. I had made a meat loaf with lots veggies
For Jakob. Smeared that yummy Sauce on it and had one
Piece. That stuff is poison to me causing retention.

Greetings everyone: I haven't learned names yet, it will take me a little. Please forgive me. I got off track this week end, and it cost me 3 pounds. But today was a new day, and got back on track today. I'm kind of glad I did go off track; it was a reminder of how bad I feel physically, and how foggy my mind is when I'm not on plan. I love MT6wbmo. I discussed it with my Dr. and he said it was a very healthy way of eating. The only real problem I have is getting all the water in. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Keep looking up! God will help us through this.

Praise the Lord--for HE deserves every praise that we can give.

This week has been an ok week though filled with some humanistic sorry for two people who have come into my life has also left my life. One gentleman from a church where we use to attend & another was a high school friend's husband. I know both wives & families. Today is the wake of my high school friend husband so after church I be attending that.

Not sure what I will be having for lunch or supper today but I made hubby & son chicken & dumplings. I will probably have some chicken breast, potato & green beans.

Praying for each of you

Good Evening everyone...
Looking around and it's just Shake and me today!
I only got 3 MT meals in today because it was a major cleaning day at church. I hope it didn't set me back much. Hope everyone stays the course. Only about 12 weeks till Thanksgiving. It will be worth it to
Hit the holidays with less room in our jeans!
We can do this!

Good morning to each of you. praying that today you feel the warmth of the Lord's arms as He hugs you.

Ok I think I was pretty much POP yesterday. Now that the weather is changing again I will be having a harder time with getting my water in (not the fondest of drinking cold water in cold weather) but will tackle that when necessary.

May you all have a wonderful weekend.

Good morning team! Up and at 'em! Day 11 and rolling along. I've had to eat out twice but was able to pick the places and they were very accommodating so the weight is still heading down. My first goal that I am looking forward to is to change my ticker to be in the 140-ville zone soon!!! I think I will keep that my incentive--to only change the ticker when I am firmly in the next "ville" level. ShakeRattleRoll, thank you for your blessing I am praying for all of us this morning to stay on track and be successful with a thankful and joyful attitude. Hey, with all that's happening in the Middle East with ISIS and all the persecution of Christians, let's be thankful we have food to eat at all, and a safe place to lay our heads at night. IM GOING TO TRY TO MAKE IT MY GOAL THAT WITH EVERY MEAL I EAT, I AM MINDFUL OF THE SUFFERING and pray for them to supernaturally be filled with the same food I eat and be comforted. Stay on plan- IT WILL BE WORTH IT.

It's gonna be a bright, bright emoticon shinning day according to the weather station & very warm (90). so I hope everyone is having a wonderful morning.

Wow as I read this Kelly, the SparkPeople office manager says: Every day is a new opportunity to do more--- I thought to myself ok yesterday is done I did detour because hubby was being kind to me & made me a plate for supper (did not want to hurt his feelings & he did not know that I was doing MT but he does now) so today is a new day with a new opportunity for me to start fresh & new,

Why did you pick MT to assist you to lose weight.??? My first respond would of been because I can lose the weight fast but then after really thinking & rereading the black book I come to realize that I chose it not only because I can lose weight faster but also because when you truly commit to it it is a healthy lifestyle that is actually family friendly (I serve them more than I am allowed). I did check it against WW & when I truly did what I was suppose to eat it stayed within my points.

Ok enough of my chitchat--Have a wonderful day.

REMEMBER THAT WE ARE ALL WINNERS

DRINK YOUR WONDERFUL WATER

MAY THE LORD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU TODAY.

Hey everyone,
SHAKERATTLEROLL I do not have the urge for sweets very often...but when I do I will
either make me a cup of cocoa coffee with stevia and sugar free creamer, or eat a caramel
Viactive calcium chew with coffee...slowly. Or a fudge fiber one bar 90 calories. Eat it slowly
and drink a large glass of water. I try not to have anything in the house that will tempt me.
I do have a DH that loves chocolate nuggets, but I put them in the freezer in a bag with a
twist tie that I twist many many times..lol. I will hide them under other things in the freezer
so they do not talk to me.
Now...if it was cheese curls or tater chips that would be another story. I have a weakness
there. So, just don't buy them.

Had to go get my grandson this morning as he was sick last night. Don't know how many
days he will be here, but he has fever and tummy troubles. That spun my day in another
direction.

Our Curves leader had us do some major exercise moves instead of the walking board
yesterday. I am very sore today. She worked us good!!

I am making muumuus for some ladies. One lady is 95 years old and her daughter is
75 and the daughter just had a 4 bypass heart surgery. I made one yesterday, and the
other is layed out to be cut today. Then I want to make me one as mine old one is getting
full of holes but I still love to wear it almost every day if I could. Two more for two ladies
I will be going to retreat with. Thought we could just get good and comfy as we relax.

Have a great day. Hang in there SHAKERATTLEROLL you can do this.

Hey Team! Great to see some new faces as well as some not so new (I'll never say OLD!)

I'm committing to serious food awareness until I leave on vacay 9/18. I'd love to get back to my ticker weight by then, I'll leave it at that!!! Stubborn me doesn't want to move it up. I'm still in the 140's but hanging by a thread!!!

I feel great, I'm ready for activity again, I'm doing an exercise plan my middle son setup for me for the next two weeks, for muscle strength but I need the walking to get ready for a lot of walking in DC!!!

LA I'll text you to see if we can work something out - sorry I missed your post and this past Monday!! I'd love to walk with you on Thurs.

Let's get ready for the fall ladies. I want to exceed my own expectations and I know I'm among those who CAN and WILL!!!

Hey everyone,
-stick to our plan and be consistent
(if you have a problem, then come here and ask for help doing this)
-track food (if you think you don't need to, just remember when you lose 10 # and gain it back
you might want to go back and look at what you ate when you lost)
-drink water
-start moving a little more than what we did yesterday.

I need to fix my ticker tape. Actually, I have lost 22 # since joining this group. I will yo yo, but
at the moment it is 22. I sometimes set 5# goals and aim for that...that works for me for some
strange reason. My weight is slowly slowly dropping. That being said, I do not stay on a rigid plan for too very long. I look at it as something I can live with. So, yesterday I did have a sugar free banana pudding, but today I would not dare touch it.
I am making MT chili today just because I have some celery needs to be eaten and some
of that can be eaten for breakfast if I want it. I love a savory breakfast. I can do without a
sweety breakfast.

Good luck to all and let us be a help to each other.

Heather, I still need to email you. Please forgive me, but I still have 3 sympathy cards sitting
and waiting to be sent, and an overdue birthday card. That is something I need to work on.

God bless and have a great week.

Oh what a wonderful feeling to come here this morning and see activity!!! Woo hoo!!!
Heather let's walk! I'm thinking Monday and Thursday mornings. What time??!!
Glad you are on board with us again and weddings are the best challenge inspirations! You can do it.

Lynn and shakerattleroll welcome and please keep coming!!! We need each other. Congratulations on the first week loss of 10 pounds!

Caroline, it is a joy to see you back. What kind of challenge would work for everyone? Need to toss ideas around. Have fun fishing! Yum!

I am calling Sharon and Jan back to us LOL.

I restarted MT on Tuesday so tomorrow will be one week. I have been 100% on plan. I am down 5.5 pounds I wish we could do a page like the Leaving 150-Ville etc have. Where everyday you post what floor you are on. Maybe I could make new threads for each weight category or each individual could start one that applies to their weight zone? I will go start mine now and the rest of you can follow my example if you want!

Hugs all around! Keeping
My eyes off of food and ON God. Carry on!

Good morning to each of you. I am restarting on Monday or maybe today with the MT. I have never fully gotten on board with it (I get bored very easily with same foods all the time). I could use all the encouragement that can be offered also need recipes. Thank you.

Hello, I'm restarting the MT program. I started 8/25/14 and have already lost 6 pounds. It's going to be a very long journey for me as I have over 100 pounds to lose. I hope I can join all of you on this journey. If there are any challenges out there, I would love to hear about them.
Thank you, and I pray each of you great success in your journey.

Caroline HELLO!!!

I want to go trout fishing with you - that was my first favorite fish!!! Enjoy your trip - and I hope we hear some vacation stories when you return.

Way to GO on the loss. I want to be reporting a loss too.......so we all know what we need to do to make that happen!!

I'm still diet dew free so I will take my victories one at a time - now I'm all better from surgery so I'm free to move about freely again - must.....get.....moving!!!!

Hey everyone,
I love challenges. I will work with anyone else here just come up with a good plan
and let us know the details. Love you guys...busy summer.
I have managed to maintain any loss and to slooooowly drop a few. I set my goals at
5, 10, 15 etc pounds. I am almost at the 10....well, I am telling myself that!!
6 Weeks Body Makeover is just a good healthy plan...why go any further?
I do tweak it, and some days limit those carbs because I, myself, have to. Otherwise
I can eat a few of those forbidden veggies I use to avoid...like taters and beans.
I do bounce as fluid comes in after a few carbs too many, but I realize I have not gained, it
is that I am retaining...my body does that. No biggie...bounce back down, and then whoa!
a new number on the scale this month....lol. Just about 4 a month.
Keeping an eye on what I am eating, writing it down, and facing the scale regardless.
Sure wish everyone would come back and STAY....including myself.

So, count me in LA, and let us do this.

Heading to the mountains to spend a few days. Will hunt out a few ancestors, do some
trout fishing in the streams, and take lots of picture.

God bless and everyone come on back.

Caroline

LA this is for you ((((HUGS)))). It's NOT easy that's for sure. I've gained back 8 pounds that seem content on staying with me. I'd like to have them GONE before the wedding in OCT in GA and then my son's wedding on 11/7.

There are several things in MT that are GOOD; but I really don't want to go back to 5 meals a day. Remember the total calories on MT are quite LOW if you follow precisely - I found myself eating less that 600/day when I stuck strictly to that plan - and I was NOT hungry.

So I have a trip in September, also one in Oct, and Nov (weddings mentioned). I will commit to CLEAN eating with you on ALL the days except when I am away from home. I really hope that makes the difference for me.

I would also LOVE to get back into a manageable exercise routine - and by that I mean walking again. My "hardbody" son is back in my area and has given me a couple of workout routines that I can complete at home in less than 15 min/day and I am SORE!! So I need to add to that the walking and I should see some results. He is acutely aware of my muscle loss and doesn't hesitate to let me know he doesn't want me to be an old and flabby mama!! hahaha. I've told him I don't want a workout program that demands more of my time than I can give or I won't stick to it. So I'm currently working on arms and hamstrings (which is causing me some back pain but I hope that means the muscles are strengthening).

It's that time of the year when we were able to walk in the past - let me know if there are a couple of days a week that you'd like to give that a shot again and maybe we can encourage each other again.

To me the keys to success here are clean eating, very limited if any processed food, portion control. I also hear God - he is a jealous God and doesn't want us spending more time focused on food than on Him. This is where I believe I can be successful, but it's going to take some work because I am SUCH a human; and I fall down more than I care to admit.

Wow this turned out to be a long post. Hey Sharon, Jan, Caroline, Michele, Brook and anyone else that might be reading this - how about gearing up for a thanksgiving goal?

Anyone want to join us to get ready for HEALTH before the holidays????

Miss you all. Hope we can pull something together that is workable for us all.

I'm working up my courage, resolve and freezer space to restart MT on Sept 1st.
I have tried everything else and the ONLY thing that has EVER gotten the entire weight off has been MT. As much as I would hope that I could eat whatever I love or cheat on a plan, it just doesn't work for me. I did the vegan thing and it really did work as far as keeping my blood pressure down, however, it was so hard for me to stick 100% so the weight loss has stalled. Nothing wrong with the plan. It was me. I'm at the point in my life now where my health has to come before my crazy food loving cravings. Hope to hear from some of you again. I will be back to restart on Sept 1st if at all possible! Hugs to all.

Hi every one

I am already on my 2nd week of six weeks so I won't be restarting as I have been on this for 7 weeks now and been pretty much on track and not really getting any where as doctor started me on new medication 2 weeks ago today am up 2 lbs so I will stay with this for 4 more weeks then back to food lover as I can't do this any more longer than I have to.

Didi I did try out the free trail for 21 days online with food lover and that was an eye opener for me and couldn't get it right because I wasn't drinking enough water, wasn't eating enough and was sleeping too much as I have sleep apnea and don't sleep and am always tired so I try to sleep when ever I could. But as least I have the knowledge of what I am suppose to do.

Heather I had laposcopy done years ago and that gas really does do a number on you and take awhile for it to go away. I hope that every thing turns out ok with your test and that you are feeling more like your self again. Hang in there. You ask me who was driving the car when we had the accident, I was the one driving.

LeAnna hope that you had a great family reunion this year and had a great time with your family. Now time to get back on track.

Hi to Caroline, Jan and Michelle miss you all and hope that you are all doing ok. Stop by when you get the chance. We need to get our team back. emoticon

Love you all and have a great day. emoticon

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

Hello Team and Welcome Didi
We really do need a jolt
To get back on track around here. Maybe you (Didi) are our inspiration. I lost all my extra fat on 6W in 2011. I have gained all but 10 pounds back. Like Sharon, I have tried several other things thinking I could
Enjoy eating AND lose weight---NOT. ITS BEEN INSANE.
Due to gluten and dairy and nut intolerance, I am also restricted. For the past three months I have been eating strictly vegan style due to uncontrolled high blood pressure. I am also hypothyroid. Geez. All of this in the past 2 years or less and it sounds like I'm falling apart. I need to get back to MT but veganize it. I so want to get back to a mindset that is successful. If we can get a support team going that will agree to get on track, I think we could all do it again.
SHARON I am so grateful you and your son were spared. That must have been traumatic. Congratulations on your son joining the coast guard. I am so thankful for
Everyone who has that kind of courage!

HEATHER what kind of surgery did you have? I truly hope all is well. I hear your son is marrying soon!? Is that exciting? I miss you!

JAN AND CAROLINE you are bothe missed. Please come back :-)

Hello All - and Welcome Didi!

Yes we have scattered it seems, but that's part of life, hoping this will be a place everyone feels they can come back to and also that new members will keep coming and adding to the team as well. We can fall apart and fall back together.

Sharon so sorry to hear of your car accident (who was driving?) and relieved that you and your son were not hurt. YAY on your son joining the National Guard! So happy that you have that to be proud of.

I have about 8 pounds to lose but right now have severe bloating from the surgery, I didn't know they blow carbon dioxide into you when they do the laporascopic techniques - that is so they can clearly see all your organs. I also didn't know it takes up to 3 weeks to dissipate!!! So in spite of losing 2 pounds since the surgery my waist is 4-5 inches bigger and I literally cannot fit into most of my clothes! Still Diet Dew free and just now starting to feel like I am healing.

LA - looks like you had another wonderful family reunion. What's on the schedule now? How is your weight journey?

I'm looking forward to getting my energy back and wondering when I'll be able to ride my bike again..........

JAN - please come back and let us know how you are doing!

Caroline - love your new pic - you are so beautiful!

Have a great day all -

Heather -

Hi Sharon... Thank you for replying

I lost 29 in 2011 and have been a member of the team since then .... I gained abt 10lbs back this last Xmas and I also have a Hypothyroid.. from having Graves Disease~

I just wrote a long note and posted it and it was lost...~ so I'm trying to remember all I wrote ...LOL..

I kept the weight off for two years... I'm gluten free and also starting a Paleo ( Practical Paleo ) so staying on plan for me has been easy , I'm a Body Type B ... My husband also is a type B and he has lost over 30 lbs and has kept it off... ~

I just started eating and drinking to much sugar , ie Coffee with Coffee Mate Creamer I had more creamer than coffee ~smile~ I have stopped drinking Coffee and Creamer and just drink black Tea now ... Also my husband has been unemployed and home more so my me time was gone , I didn't have time to workout ... I didn't turn the music on and dance around the house cleaning , I sat right here in this chair right next to him ~smile~ And work has become stressful , My hubby is back to work and I have me time back ~

So I'm back ~smile~ I'm determined to get that MoJo feeling back ... you know that.... I can do this feeling ~
So I've started again today , I did a 30 min walk away the pounds and have kept on plan... and have tracked everything ...

You mentioned "The Food Lovers Diet " I also tried that and didn't like it much... I don't like having to pay for their online program... its a bit spendy , and I don't eat right by their standards with my Gluten Free or Paleo Lifestyle... So I will stay with the 6WBMO it works... ~smile~

Happy Regards Sharon... I will keep checking back and posting ...~
Hopefully more will come back here soon

Didi

Hi Didi emoticon to our team, for what is left of our team, we were a bunch of us that use to come here often but think our team is slowly moving away from here.

I am Sharon and did lose 106 lbs in 1 1/2 year and it just got too restrictive for me and couldn't do it any more so I went on to other plans and have gain most of it back am back on six weeks now for one more round to get some of this weight off and will be going back on food lovers as my life style choice as I have more freedom with it and it is not too restrictive.. Am on new medication now don't know if I will be able to lose or gain on it.

Have a great day.

Hi every one

Sorry to be MIA for some time now as things really got crazy here and so much was going on.

My son sign up for National Guard few days before school got out, he took his physical and pass his physical and is now enlist with National Guard. Was suppose to start his first training this pass week end, but he doesn't have his uniform yet. Is getting fitted for his uniform next week and will start his training next month, one week end a month.Next summer a week after my son graduates from high school he will be ship out to GA for 14 weeks of training. Am so proud of my son for doing this.

While this was going on my best friend stay with me 5 days to talk about what I have to do while they help their daughter move out of state and help her settle in her new apt. before she start her job on July 7. A few days later went down to my best friends to watch her house, take care of animals, plants, etc. for 10 days.

My dog had so many seizures in one week end, maybe 17 by the time he finish with them and felt so bad for him. Think he have old timers as he is not all there and is now ripping his fur out. He been taking off more and more and we have different people calling saying that they have our dog and we will have to go and pick him up where ever he is. He is 14 or 15 years old now.

Over the week end me and my son were on our way to family reunion when we got into a car accident, we are fine, me, my son and the other driver, but both cars were not drive able. several hours later my neck start bothering me and will see how it is by the end of week and if it is still bothering me then I will have it check out. They just towed my car 53 miles yesterday to bring it to repair closer to my home. My nephew came to pick up up at the repair shop and took us back to family reunion, spend night there and the next night my nephew drove us home. We had a good time at the family reunion in spite of being in the car accident. The car that got damage was my new car that I got a year ago. I am just grateful that it wasn't worse than that and that we are all ok.

My weight keeps going up and just start new medication on Sun. don't know if I will gain weight with this new medication. Try to stay with MT but can't seem to stay with it with out cheating. Am starting 2nd round of six weeks today and just hope that I can stick with it this time. I did gain 5 lbs over the week end. emoticon

That is pretty much what been going on with me. Miss you all and do agree that it seems like our little cozy little team is falling apart and it is not the same any more. We seem to all be struggling at one point or another. Don't know how we can get our team back.

Hope that you all have a great day and God bless you all. emoticon

I really was surprised to see a couple of posts here today! I'm so glad too!!
I've pretty much quit trying to weigh for now. Just sticking to my vegan type diet is hard enough. So far my bp is normal enough to feel well. I hope that one day I can lose a few pounds. It would seem I should be losing but I'm not. MT may be for me one day again in the near future but with beans for protein. We will see....

Heather I hope your surgery is not anything terribly serious emoticon I will have you in my prayers. I miss our chats my friend.

Caroline, your comments brought a tear to my eyes. I love our little team and it would truly break my heart to not keep it together. I hope you lose your 5 pounds quickly. Yes I am busy again. Writing another devotional for our church. We have to publish it by August 11 so that will keep me busy as usual. Then, I hope to rest a bit.

Sharon and Jan, you are both sorely missed and I hope you check in again. You are both great encouragers and have such good advice. Let's get back on track around here.

Hey everyone,
I think this team kinda fell apart at the seams because it was no longer Michael Thurmond.
Well, I apologize, as I let other things keep me away.

Heather, I am still planning an email to you to say I am praying for you, and that I can IDENTIFY and have to get things checked in that direction.

Not gaining and not losing. I posted 15 diet books on ebay to sell for bringing our missionary home, but I reckon everyone across the country are about like us now. Either reached their
goals or waiting for a more opportune time to get with it.

Abby, my gal, I miss all your wonderful advice. I may not have told you, but it meant a lot
to me who you would write the long posts about each of our problems and tried to help. It showed you cared.

LA, hope you are doing well with your new program. I guess you are still traveling a lot
doing your ministry.

Michele, it has been too long since you stopped by. Sure do miss you and hope you are
doing ok.

Sharon, hope you get your meds straightened out so that you can focus on your goals better.

I changed my profile picture as I was just tired of drinking that same glass of wine. emoticon
I also changed my ticker to show a 5 pound goal and let you all see if I am making it to there.

School starts back in about 3 weeks. I have been keeping my grandson Mon-Fri and home schooling him this summer. Wow!!! He is zooming ahead! I took him off the patch this summer and my goodness what a difference. He gained 6 pounds since school got out and
behavior is so good. I am proud of him....phooey on that patch!!

God bless and wishing you all a good week. Mine is kinda sorta a starting over, but not really.
Just need to stick with something consistently.

Hello Team -

I seem to be having a lot of ups and downs lately. Still Diet Dew FREE! This is a big deal for me; but I'm really missing the fizzy stuff. LA we have La Croix here but I never see the coconut. Part of me just wants to be free of the need for fizz! So I've been drinking water sometimes flavored with something but mostly plain I hope my body adjusts to it soon.

I'm not really active right now either so I know that is holding me back. I want to get on a good plan later this fall. I'm having an outpatient surgery next week that will put me on no activity for 6 weeks. I know my middle son is worried about me not being so active but I told him we can't all be so physically fit like he is. He helped me weed the front garden yesterday and it really needed it. Because of my "issue" gardening has sort of taken a back seat right now. Kinda bummed out, but it's also the hottest time of the year so if a break in the yard is needed, why not now......we went to a park yesterday and I think he was really bummed out to see I can't do the monkey bars any more! Honestly I was too but since my accident in 2005 I have lost a ton of muscle strength and I know at least as far as my legs go, I can never get it back wthout being able to run or jump. And I didn't see the point in having a muscular upper body and a jello lower body so now I'm just jello all over and so busy with life I can't address it without stress!!

So that's where I'm at right now. It's more of a struggle but I feel like I'm on the right path.
I hope you all had a nice 4th of july. My DH had to work but I went downtown with my middle son and we celebrated like old time and it was fun. Yes I had a funnel cake, but NO barbeque at all and only one cocktail so all in all it was a pretty tame day for me! The night before I got to take my oldest granddaughter (she's 14) to the movies and that was FUN too.

Hello Ladies!

Sorry I seem to only get here once a week lately!
It's so good to hear each of you doing so well!

SHARON, how are you doing this week? Still on MT? Did your DH have the heart catch done? I hope you are enjoying your summer. I do hope it is more peaceful these days for you!

HEATHER, I am so happy you watched those documentaries. I watched FOOD, INC and FAT, SICK AND ALMOST DEAD (I don't plan to juice but just the info was on track with the other info I've been getting) this week and OH MY!!! more to consider. That, and along with Forks Over Knives have convinced me too. I still need to watch VEGUCATED and HUNGRY FOR CHANGE. I also thank God daily for this pathway. I'm just so sorry I didn't watch FOK years ago when my nutritionist recommended it. He gave me another copy of the diet he had given me years ago and it is almost identical to what I am doing now. I guess God was trying to head off what I've been sick with for over a year. Oh well, now I know to listen up. I was stuck at a 7 lb loss for almost two weeks but this morning the scale moved another 1.5 lbs. this may be a slower process than MT but I know I can live with this for life, mostly because it feels like the right thing to do. So I'm down 8.5 lbs in 4.5 weeks. I'm very happy with that. Oh and how was your two days of vacation? I hope you enjoyed it. I finally started working out again now that my BP is back to normal. I still want to walk with you again. Let's keep trying to make a time for that. You keep up the momentum with your nutrition. If you stall--keep on track anyway. I'm so happy for you :-)

JAN, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. Don't feel badly about the anti-depression meds. You won't be on them always. Just a little while. I'm praying for you to find the right way nutritionally and in every way. Sorry about those scratches. I always get hives and bumps from the thrones, when I trim my roses, no matter how careful I am. I had a cooking day with my two daughters this week. We tried several recipes from some of the cookbooks I've been acquiring. I esp loved a corn, potato southwestern soup recipe. I also made a sweet potato chowder that was yummy. We also cooked up some tacos using finely chopped portabellas mixed with old elPaso taco seasoning for the taco meat. That with vegetarian fat free black "refried" beans, chopped tomatoes, tofu sour cream, lettuce and salsa on a soft white corn tortilla (no oil in them)--yummy. Since this is much stricter than vegan and vegetarian, I am really working hard to find some good flavorful recipes. If you come across any you used in the 70's and 80's that are avocado, oil free and cheese free, please share. I am allergic to peanuts so I cut those out a few years ago. Right now I can't have any nuts,

CAROLINE, you're doing great at your weight loss. Don't belittle ANY loss LOL. I celebrate even the tiniest fraction of a loss these days. I pray for your grandson to be blessed with a friend soon.
Going to bed. Need to work in those 8 hours of sleep. It is just as important as water and right diet. Oh and HEATHER, did you ever find a store you could get the LaCroix Sparkling Water from? I know you would love it now that you are delivered from the DD's!!
Love to all! TTYL

Hi Everybody,
It looks like we are all out and about this summer with little time to chat here. No worries as it will hopefully say we are having a good time and taking control. I've lost almost 8 lbs so far and looking forward to getting into the low 150's before next week. Working you at the gym and no injuries there. I was working in the garden yesterday putting in a paver walkway for the dogs to run up and took a spill. lol. Scratched my face as I planted my face into a shrub...I had blood all down my face, but after cleaning up it wasn't as bad as it looked. Today it looks ok and covered some of it with a little BB tinted cream so I wouldn't look torn up. Even went to workout and my friend Leslie had a scratch on the same side from her dog so we were laughing about it instead of worrying we looked a mess.

Nice to see everyone doing so well and keeping weight off or even losing more. LA I'm happy the hear your doing what you need to do to get yourself back into a healthy lifestyle.
I'm with you 100% and even went to the Dr. to finally get an anti depressant for my stress. It's very mild but it has totally taken the edge off of my stress and has made life more manageable. I know now that some of the things that have been holding me back from making good choices has been my depression and my stress. I did go to the cardiologist and have a stress test but it's just precautionary.

Ok I hope you all have a great weekend and talk soon.

One of the hardest decisions you'll make in life is whether to walk away or continue to try harder.

It's a fact Jack!

Hi Team -
Just a quickie here - made it through more than a week without Diet Dews....I think I have made that a thing of the past. Still not able to drink GOBS of water - miss the fizzy stuff - but I'm making progress.

NO weight gain this weekend, even with a movie date with buttered popcorn and choc. raisins, so I think I'm finally getting the hang of eating normally again :) I was down another pound this morning.

Funny how I slowly got off track for YEARS and didn't even see it, bit by bit it adds up until one day BAM weight problem, cravings, the feeling like a failure with no self control. I am grateful for these past two weeks. I am eating so much healthier, normal, not thinking of food all the time, not letting one treat slide into a pile of treats and self-loathing. I am walking SLOWLY out of the mess I created for myself - and I am NOT looking back. I passed up pizza this weekend without regret. That is one of my biggest weaknesses, but I'd already had the popcorn/candy and knew I could wait for another day and a better pizza!! I do not feel deprived anymore, I feel empowered. I am thanking God for getting me where I needed to be to get back in focus.

Hoping you all have a good week and can stop by and chat for a few minutes.

Caroline, your grandson is so lucky that you are in his life. I think part of your time with him could be spent with him helping you with your chores? I used to make my boys help me clean the house every Saturday (after a nice sleep in for me and cartoons/cereal for them). They knew if they helped we would do something fun on Sunday. If they didn't help, we would clean on Sunday. They figured it out pretty quick that it was better to help - and we were all happy.

Heather, so good to see you!! Missed you!
Wow...7 lbs...that is awesome!
I thought my little 2.5 was pretty good this week. emoticon
Glad you gave up the dew and have things going in the right direction.

Wish I had a little playmate for my grandson, as it leaves me very little time for
anything else. I am his constant companion and it is starting to wear on me. I am tired.

DH is gone fishing and I am fixing to go do some mopping.

Have a great day everyone

Hello Team-

So great to "see" you all. I'm starting to get better, YAY! AND.....Yay I kicked the Diet Dew!!! A couple migraine days because I'm also doing really well eating. I watched Forks over Knives - those three movies did it for me my friends.

I feel a change/shift inside of me and I'm excited. I know God has answered my prayer. I'm not measuring, weighing or calorie counting. I made soup after work on Tuesday and it turned out great. Black Bean and Basmati Rice Soup. It's got garlic, onion, turmeric, cumin, sf chx broth, 16 oz of homemade salsa and 1 can sf tomato paste. It's really tasty and getting me back to health. My mind is no longer teasing me with food. These movies really really helped me get my perspective back. I do believe I can do just about anything "diet" wise, but if my mind isn't right it won't last. MT was a willpower thing. I love that it got me to do something, but unfortunately it didn't give me a happy ending.

I want to life my life and not be controlled by thoughts of food all the time. I will continue to thank God every day for this gift of perspective and I will pray the same happens for you. I'm not scared, and I'm not "pressed" to a goal or date. I know in my heart that I will be a pretty "mother of the groom" in November because I am going to treat my body right. Yes I love sweets, and cheese and fried foods and cakes and cookes and breads but I love me more, I was made for more than this struggle. PHEW. We all were made for MORE than this struggle.

Thank you all for your patience, friendship and love on this journey. I'm going to stick around cuz' this is more than a diet thread right? In the last 5 days I've dropped 7 pounds. And I've drank more water than I have in the last 2 months probably.....

Ok - well I have to get some sleep. Sweet Dreams all!

Hi my friends!

What a joy to see everyone posting something this week.
SHARON, I do hope your healed now of Lyme. Do you feel your symptoms are gone now? I am SO HAPPY you are restarting 6 Weeks along with
CAROLINE!! You girls really can stay on track. ONE DAY AT A TIME is what I tell myself every day. I just cannot allow myself to think into the future. If I start thinking about even one day ahead, I get to feeling deprived. And I am NOT deprived. For goodness sake, I live in America. Our minds can play games though and esp with mine so I don't allow my mind to go there. It is a constant battle but I know I can do this.
HEATHER and JAN, I do hope you both consider doing this plan with me or at least a modified version. If you don't have heart disease, you can have olive and coconut oil, coconut and avocados. Right now, until my condition reverses, I can't have those things. Also, today my nutritionist told me to only have wild rice--no other rice. My DH took me to a vegan restaurant in Montrose area of Houston today. If you look online you can see their menu. It's called WWW.RADICALEATS.COM. I actually had enchiladas, beans and rice that were oil, and gluten free and vegan. Delicious. Unfortunately, this restaurant is a 30 minute drive for me so it will have to be a rare treat. HEATHER, I can eat nutritional yeast on this plan :-) on top of air popped popcorn. That's a nice addition and yet off plan for MT.
I am still at normal blood pressure and have reduced meds in half. I am hopeful now for good health in the future. For a few months, it was looking bleak!

I hope everyone is finding a plan that works for them and that may be an individual journey. However, let's continue to do this together. If anyone ever wants to text me, you certainly can. It is 832-978-6381. BIG HUGS to all of you.

I did good the first day, still not enough water, and need to move more. Am still on track. No lbs lost today. Will be running around this afternoon as I have lots to do. My son decides not to go to school today as they finish their finals yesterday and there is really nothing to do but he will be going in tomorrow for his last day and to turn books in.

Jan am glad that you got your self check, it is better to be safe than sorry especially when most of your family members have heart disease. My husband had a heart attack either late 2012 or early 2013 and just found out recently because he had the echo gram test done. Was suppose to have catherization done this Tues. but he doesn't want to go.

Heather hope that you are feeling better.

Caroline just do what you can, and you are doing fine.

LeAnna how are you doing? Hope that you are not taking more than you can handle.

Have a great day every one. HUGS

hey everyone, Day two

I tried yesterday to get into MT and did pretty good until I had to go out and do errands
Forgot a snack. I am not use to this.
I got my book out and I am being encouraged with that.
I was right about portion control. I was really hungry. I am more prepared today.
And that is ok, because I am still with the mindset to do this.

Old dinosaur computer today as dh hogs the other one...lol
so better go before I lose what little is here. Have a great day.

Hello All...
Well I really need to get myself in gear and today is as good a day to start. There has been so much crazy going on and life just happens doesn't it.

I never started with my HCG and it's because the timing just never was right. We had workers here for almost 3weeks ripping out old fencing and putting in new on all sides. While our 3 neighbors shared the cost, they only had one side to share and we had all three. I had to put Abby on tranquilizers for the days the men used nail guns or try to take her with me everywhere I could think of. Then we had three birthday parties of which one was yesterday. In between all that I pulled something around my chest during a workout and wasn't sure what it was so I took myself to the Emergency room with chest pain. I felt a little silly but because there is so much heart disease in my family (my grandmother died of a heart attack, my father died of one as well after years of heart attacks and heart related issues, my brother just this year had a heart tumor and my middle sister just had a heart attack that we didn't even know she had....Everything is fine from my blood work, EKG, and X-rays, so today I'll call my Dr and set up a stress test. Like I said today is the day to start my program.

I haven't weighed myself in a while so I will wait till next Tues for a weigh in. I know I'm back in the 160's, but physiologically I can't face the number right now.

Heather and LA: Looks like the two of you are getting on the same page and working out your plan for eating and well being. It's complicated trying to take protein out of your diet and find suitable replacements. One thing for sure to stay away from is peanuts. Their ok for an occasional treat but they are not a tree nut and can cause a lot of acidic problems to your digestion. Cashew and almond butter are better choices and if you can make your own, even better.

I used to be a vegan back in the 70's-80's...it's a way to good eating if you know how...especially during the summer when there is so much yummy foods. We don't need animal proteins and I too will take a look into it and try to find my way back to natural eating. One magazine you might try is Vegetarian Magazine, it's inspiring and has great dishes to try.
My favorite book back in the day was Cooking with Mother Nature by Dick Gregory. It's out of publication, but I purchased a used copy a few years ago on amazon. I'll have to find it and get re-inspired. For now doing the HCG will be hard enough so it can wait for three or four weeks.

Caroline: Your busy busy as usual. Do you have a dehydrator? or do you dry your veggies and fruits in the oven? I purchased Heidi a dehydrator, but I don't think she's used it and might ask her to lend hers to us. I dehydrated onions in the oven and use them on salads or just as a treat. I have dryed coconut with cacao and they are like candy. Low in calories if you only have a few, but they can be addictive as well. Haven't tried anything else except what I purchase at the store (only unsulfered fruits like apricots and mangos) Congrats on your Missionary Leader appt. Happy summer to you!

Sharon: I hope better health is following you this summer now that the winter blues are out of the way and you can enjoy some sunshine. Sticking to your MT plan is most likely the best thing for you so I hope you can reap the rewards of it. With Caroline doing the program alongside you that will be a great boost for you both. Good luck.

Time for me to go and get the day off to a good start. Talk with everyone soon. Have an amazing and beautiful day.

One of the hardest decisions you'll make in life is whether to walk away or continue to try harder.

It's a fact Jack!

Hey everyone,
Day 1...........................6 Weeks Body Makeover

I pledge this day to do my best.
A friend at TOPS had gone 1 month no cheat. She said it was the first time she has
ever been able to do that. It inspired me.
I really do not cheat so much with the types of food, but the amount. So, I am counting
the calories with this as well.

Good luck, Sharon.

Heather. Please do your homework and study all things natural.

There are some parts of our bodies that "pout" when they are messed with...like our tummies
not getting the foods they want...lol...or my poor tummy getting too much of what is bad for
me as I have no gall bladder anymore. It sure will pout.

Have a great day.

Caroline

Hey everyone,
Sharon, I will do 6 weeks with you...I am actually do quite well as lost a "new" pound at
STOPS Thursday night. So, that is on top of holding my losses. Yay.
But,
I need to be reactivated and motivated and so I got me a new little journal and ready to
do MT with Sharon. This plan is one that has shown loss for all of us...and it is healthy.
Why do we go searching?

So so busy this summer. Have two quilts I donated to be raffled off for getting our missionary's
family home for assembly this year. Hope we sell a lot of tickets. The pictures are at
our facebook page....fayetteville cogop
also, having a church yard sale 20-21 of june for the same reason.
Just got through making 55 little backpack bags for our in house missionary to take to
Nicaragua this year. Lots of work there. Pastor has appointed me missionary leader again.
I have other things todo that might can raise money for them, but if you think of something
let me know..
Have my grandson full time this summer. Home schooling him and he has taken giants
leaps with all of his studies...way too smart.

Our garden is lovely this year and we are eating snap beans, squash, and cucumber, and
one tomato already. I have dehydrated tons of bananas and apples...I think 18 lbs. of apples
and many quarts of strawberries....but oh the bananas are addictive. So good.

that is all for me.
Sharon, and anyone else, let us report in to each other and if we fall off, ok, but don't fall out.

Caroline

Hello Team -
I called in sick today -started a sore throat on Saturday night. Went to the doc today and he put me on a z-pac. Hope to feel better tomorrow I was really dingy in the head today. I know there is a huge pile waiting for me and I dread it.

I didn't get to watch forks over knives - it's one I have to pay for so I watched "vegucated" instead. Now I never want to eat meat, poultry or dairy again!! I'm ok with Sardines but a lot of fish I am not good with either. So, LA, it looks like we may be headed in the same direction. I just could not believe what I saw in that movie. It made me sick to even talk about it with my DH because he said "just don't talk about this stuff when I'm eating" OF COURSE NOT!!! It would make you NOT want to eat it then!!! But I understand we all have to walk our own path so he can eat what he wants and I'll eat what I want, it's been that way for a long time anyway, just now there is less I will want to eat with him.

Sharon - you must have gotten another language version of forks over knives - can you get it in english? I'm going to rent it in the next couple of days.....

Hope your Lyme disease is completely gone when you go back to the doctor. You are in my prayers....

Heather -
