NO EXCUSES! Day 5: Andy's Waistline Held Hostage ... Andy reporting

ME: Bad cold really %^&%$ the big one! NYQUIL tonight baby!

GAMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH: Great to see you Caroline! I thought that procrastination is an inherently male disease. Being a male, I can attest to how good it feels to get something done .... because the the nagging stops! (Ba da da DING!) Thank you, thank you all very much. Cuz, Sharon has your hand and the rest of us got your back kiddo! NO EXCUSES!

Sharon: I read you post on self esteem and weight loss. There is a TON in there for all of us. I like the part about using our negatives list to construct a potentials list ... and throwing the negatives out! Curves is a great option for a gym. First of all, all women striving for the same goals ia a very supportive atmosphere (us guys cab be a buzz kill) and the testerone of a regular gym can a bit intimidating. My wife, who once competed in body building , LOVES Curves. Body building is not for everybody, but shaping and sculpting can be for anybody! DO IT Sharon! Most Curves have a trial period ... like a session or two. If it's free, you might as well try it. That's how my wife got hooked!

Jan: Glad to see you're kicking it too. When I am not with the trainer, I am ROCKING IT !HITS FROM THE 70s, 80s, and 90s ... BABY. With your recent history, I am sure that you have many songs from Pat Benetar songs to rock you into a mood. I used to get my heart rate up before my workout with cardio until my Nazi trainer recommended that I add it to the end to conserve my strength for when I get my butt kicked during our sessions. Anyway, I bet you are feeling the results of your last work out already.

PG: is a drop candy? Just wondering. Good idea waiting util you are ready to start because the constant self-sabotage can be unerving. Anyway, that kid sound like a riot.

Heather: How's the weather? Great job on the pound being off for a few days. It always feels good to move that ticker. NO EXCUSES!

LA: Good job sticking to plan. It is really hard when we are out of our element, like parties ... that's how the monkey got back on my back.

Anyway, I gotta fly.

Adios ... Andy

The best part of that little student is that he wasn't being a smarty pants He's only in kindergarten, so he really thought that's what I meant. He was so cute saying it over and over!

Will be restarting Sunday or Monday...need to get everything in order.

Hi everyone I was pop except for one thing I had a frozen egg nog drink and this is the only thing that I am cheating with compare to what I have been eating and drinking for the last 6 days and I know that alcohol has alot of empty calories and I will know soon enough it it will make me gain or not. I love egg nog and brought some the other day as it was on sale, figure they won't no longer be in the stores till the end of the year and want to enjoy it while I can. I mix it yesterday and put it in the freezer and it makes it feel like I am having ice cream. In the past I use to drink egg nog every Fri. Sat. and Sun. Now I drink it once in awhile. I have come a long way as far as the egg nog goes going from every week end to once in awhile..

I am grateful that my son only have practice tomorrow instead of competition for wrestling and am so looking forward to sleeping in late and am not going to worry about getting my meals on time as how often do I get to sleep in late.

Heather way to go on you 1 lb loss, keep it up and soon you will be at your goal.

Jan good for you in getting your work out every day so far.

LeAnna have fun at the family reunion.

Caroline good for you for doing the unfinished things will get you in a positive mood.

Andy I hope that you will reach all your goals with the body builder and the gym. I was thinking of joining curves for 3 months in March with the money I got for christmas. Even though I lost so much weight I still have some flabby issues that I am dealing with and I do work out six days a week but it is not enough think I need weights or the machines to firm up..

Have a great evening every one and a great week end.

I see everyone's spinning in a good direction...PG even you who is having trouble getting those Xmas treats out of the house still knows what direction you want to go in so that's an amazing start for you. now just to the right a little more and your there. We all have our demons...I'm included in that. Yesterday a friend came over and brought some eggnog liquor over. We had a glass on ice even though I knew I shouldn't have. Luckly it didn't effect my weight this morning but I'm being extra careful so it won't reflect tomorrow which sometimes happens. So I'm back on track and heading in the right Directon.

Andy: I had an awesome workout yesterday and your right using whatever you have to for momentum to get in a great workout is up to us. If you go in slacking you'll build up from them and feel great when your finished...but if you go in with a killer instinct to really have a great workout, then you can really push yourself and come out sweaty and feeling like you can take on the world.

I always get in a small cardio workout on the Eliptic trainer before I start with weights. My headset blarring in my ears starts with a collaboration of hiphoprap artists starring TPain. One of the lines goes "I picked the world up and dropped it on your F+++ing head... I'm gone... I'm gone!
I guess it's my love hate relationship with myself and the past...but for whatever reason, it's my new go to song for when I feel I'm not feeling it or not feelng strong about working out. Everyones got a song or songs that strengthen them and gets you moving. So when you feel your having an off day..play your tunes and then get up and get it done!

Heather: Glad you changed your tape...that means your already poined in the right direction and moving towards your 2012 goal. You go girl!!!

Sharon: Thanks for the information you left here. So many things we're so right on for me. I do forget to make me time on a daily basis. I've promised to workout everyday and that's my ME time. So far so good but I'll have to reread some of it when will power fails me.

I have to scoot for now and will be back to do more personals. Bye for now...Jan

Morning Team!

Sharon - great post - thanks for sharing it. I'm sure all of us can take something away from that to help us on our path.

PG - love your student!! A little smartie he is. Now you need to put your "game" face on (this is hard for me to imagine while looking at your Mrs. Claus picture!) and ask yourself if YOU are worth the effort - of course this team knows the answer to that question.

Caroline - YAY for clearing the dust that holds us back (unfinished business). I get to feeling very "heavy" too when my desk starts to pile up. Thank you for reminding me that my goal for today was to submit all my med. reimbursement before I LOSE the MONEY I put into that fund! Now that would be rediculous. I will report back to you when my task is finished ok? That will keep me accountable :)

Well I'm down a pound for a couple of days now so I'm off to change my ticker :)

Have a great Friday all!

Not too great of a day yesterday. Forgot I ordered hot lunch so ate my chicken wrap and donut. Then, that spiral led me for the evening. Still holding at 172 though and made cauliflower r"rice" for dinner.

I agree with Leeanna. I need to go through my fridge and get rid of the tempting food. Then, I need to prepare for the week. Otherwise, it's too easy to slip off. I got to get out of the 170's and back to " overweight". I don't like being obese!....I need to not like overweight either!

Keep it up Team. Lift those weights, Andy and Jan. lift those bottles of water. I've got my Ped on too Gammah! I wore it the other day, only 4800 steps. Yikes, got to get moving!

Speaking of that...better get my butt moving and off to school. Have a good day, all!

I am with you all today....in my head I am going strong.
I have my pedometer on and fixing to head out the door with dh to walk.
I got something done yesterday that I had been putting off for 2 years,
updating my Genweb pages....wow!!! how that getting done lifted me up!!
Need to go do some more unfinished things.
Oh, that is my thing for this year. To finish what I start and to go back to some
unfinished things and take care of them. The feeling is awesome!!
Have a great day. I am proud of all of you.

Caroline

Around the school funnies: At my school, I have a drop program for doing something to make someone feel good: compliments, helping, etc. A little boy told me today that he liked my necklace and could he have a drop? I gave him a hug and told him that he didn't get a drop EVERYtime he complimented me. He would have to say it LOTS of times and maybe ONE time, I might give him one. He looked at me and then said, "I like your necklace. I like your necklace. I like your necklace. I like your necklace." Oh, I should have given him a drop for making me laugh!

Some one post this on their blog on food lover and thought that I will share it with you all. Very interesting and very helpful.

Self Esteem and Weight Loss
I know a lot of you, like me, have been on just about every diet ever created, read a zillion diet books, and yet are still unhappy with your weight.

Has your quest for the holy grail of dieting become a substitute for actually making changes required to take the ill health out of your current diet?

If so, you may not realise your thoughts are key to your happiness and success.

Do you look at yourself and say, "I'm fat", or "My hips are too big"? Many of us look in the mirror and immediately compare ourselves to those "perfect" human specimens we see every single day on TV, in magazines and in the newspapers.

Often we talk to ourself and make excuses, "It's my genes", "I'm much too busy to get fit", "I like myself this way", as a way of protecting yourself from the way we see ourselves now and the way we want to be.

Self-image is closely connected to the success or failure of any goal you choose to seek , but none more so that the goal to get yourself fit and healthy.

So how do you go about strengthening your self-image? Well fortunately your self-image, just like your muscles, will respond well to a regular work out.

Start by compiling a list of all those negative thoughts your have about yourself...I'm undisciplined, I can't manage my time, I let people down, I can't succeed, I don't exercise enough. You will need to decide before you start this process that you won't get discouraged....these are things that you will admit to yourself but they most certainly don't have to control your life.

Next, compile a second list including everything you LIKE about yourself. Keep going until this list is LONGER than the first list you compiled. You might include things such as, I am a good cook, I can make people laugh, I contribute to the soccer club, my daughter loves the way I decorate her room.

Then, take your negatives list and turn it into your potentials list. You do this by creating a positive self-image to every negative you listed. Instead of "I can't succeed", write a counter belief, "I will succeed".

Ceremonially throw out the negatives list - you are saying goodbye forever! Burn them, trash them, destroy them....they are no longer going to be a part of your thinking about yourself.

Now, keep your list of potentials in a prominent place. On your refrigerator door, in your daily journal, or in a picture frame on your desk. Make sure you have them in front on your every single day so that you are reading them constantly and reprogramming your daily thoughts.

Now that you have your list of potentials... run your own visualisation stories so that you can see yourself in a new light. For example, if your list of potential includes "I eat a perfect foodlovers plate every day", visualise yourself with a food lovers plate, and feeling completely satisfied at the end of your meal.

Read through your list of potentials every day taking a few moments of personal quiet time to reflect strongly on your visualisations. Try starting your day first thing in the morning and finishing as the last thing at night with visualising yourself being the person on your list, and doing the things you want to do.

Keep a record of all the positive changes in thoughts you have about yourself. We all have triumphs and failures. You must record and remind yourself of the positive changes because our human nature will replay the negatives - sometimes blowing them out of proportion. It's important to nurture and celebrate the small steps you make every day.

Go Easy On Yourself - You Are Beautiful Work In Progress

Don't listen to the criticism...not your own nor that of others! Remember you are the designer of your self-esteem, do not hand this over to other people. You are way too important to give this away. Protect your role as creator of your own self-image and do not, take on board negative criticisms. We all make mistakes, and mistakes can be used to help us learn. Do not criticise yourself for being human and making a mistake. The only last mistake in the one from which we never learn to grow.

Forget About The Past

The only moment you can live is the current one. You can't live in the future and you most certainly shouldn't live in the past....the challenge is to take charge of our thinking so that we think in the same time zone in which we live!

For example we may be tempted to think about yesterday's failures..."If only I hadn't eaten second helpings", If only I didn't reach for the chocolate cookies". If we concentrate on the mistakes of yesterday this will our brains to replay our failures and reinforce them to us.

Yesterday is over, today is where you live....make sure that today you do NOT replay yesterday's failures and make your resolve to change TODAY.

: Resolve to Change Today

Just as you shouldn't live in the past, you can't live in the future. You can only live or change today. The oldest clichι in the world is perhaps one of the greatest truisms of all...'tomorrow NEVER comes!'

There is no better time than now. So, no matter what excuses you may have to wait to take those healthy steps you know you should take, none of them are valid. Do it now, do it today. Resolve to make a different in your own life before you go to sleep tonight.

Write a Plan For your Life

This is your success plan. If you have not already done so it is time for you to create direction and purpose in your plans for yourself. Review your list of potentials and record next to each potential when you want to achieve this by.

Now that you have set the groundwork in place, you can change your physical habits. You are ready to add a balanced nutritious diet, healthy eating habits, regular exercise and relaxation.

By changing your thinking habits, you will be strengthening your self esteem and unlocking your internal power to make a change in your life. Before you can change lifelong eating habits, you must first change life long thinking habits. We are what we think. We can't be something other than what we believe we can be!

So, do yourself a favour, liberate your self-image and then, see how much more effective your healthy living plan becomes!
.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

Doing your best is important than being the best.

Ok, got all tangled up trying to get back with it, but here I go, and
Sharon has my hand. I figure if I stay close some of that weight loss
might happen for me too.
So, tomorrow. I was starting again today, but went to peel my boiled egg
and found out it was fresh egg, so had to cook it...the whole thing.

Michelle, hope your dog is better.
LA, have a good time.

NO EXCUSES! Day 4: Andy's Waistline Held Hostage ... Andy reporting

LA: Thanks for the encouragement. I am on it. 7 inches and 4.5 pounds since Monday? My word, you are not just losing weight .... I am afraid you may be evaporating too! Drink lots of fluids.

Jan: 2.2 pounds and a woo hoo to you hoo too! Nazi trainer kicked my butt yesterday. She had several molars pulled at the dentist and I think she took some of her mouth pain out on me. That's okay because work really turked me off on Tuesday and I was more than willing to use it as motivation to throw some serious iron around. I bet that you do the same thing with your workouts too, huh?

Michelle: I woke up with a cold this morning too. It really takes the gas out of your tank. It looks like you and LA plan on revvvvvvving it into high gear! I can't wait to see the weight go bye bye.

Sharon: Here you come ... and there the weight goes! Whenever you are seriously on your game you need a truck to follow you around to pick up all the weight you shed.

PG: Down another 1.5 pounds after a sticky bun? I WANT that diet. I think that you got Jan motivated and a bit paranoid about her BUM getting steam rolled! Keep up the enthusiasm!

Heather: Poor Heather is a bit chilly willy in Florida. I know that you Floridians never heard these things we Non-tropical people call sweaters. Just a thought. Keep up the spirit and thanks for echoing my tough love with M3M.

MOMA: I hope that I did not scare you with my Marine Corp Drill Sargeant act yesterday. I just want you to realize all that you are, all that you have accomplished, and be all that you can be! ... oh wait, that last one is an Army slogan. Army, Marines ... who cares? Hey, I'd still like to see your list. I think that everyone else would like to see it too.

Caroline: Cuz? ohhhhhh Cuz?

I gotta fly gang, but I just want to wish you all happy losing!

Andy

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm s till super busy taking care of my geriatric dog. It's almost like a full time job. Plus, she gets up and wanders around at night, so DH & I haven't been sleeping well. Then, to top it off, both DH & I got colds. Anyway, enough complaining. Even when I'm not here posting, I'm thinking of you guys. It's great to see how well everyone is doing in the New Year. LA - you're right, we have to get out of this false maintainence, and soon!

Have a wonderful day everyone. Hugs all around!

Hello Gang -

Hiding under a blanket but otherwise behaving! It's COLD in Florida!! I haven't been naked long enough to jump on the scale but I'm pretty darn sure I've shivered off over a pound! hehehe Anyone want some icy cold lemons off the tree??? I've got a freezer full of lemonade "concentrate" I made (with Xylitol thank you LA!) and another 70 lemons at least to harvest....

Have a great day all - and keep the sparking ignited - I like what I am seeing here.

Sharon - hurry up and finish what you must so that you can get back on your plan - I remember you wanted to reach the 130's by your birthday - right? And that is WHEN????

Brook - I echo Andy's sentiments - he hit the nail on the head in his post to you. xoxoxox

Michelle - where are you hiding girl?

PG - do we need to go find Dale too? She would "chit" and grin seeing you back here again!

Tia is another one ringing in the new year with SUCCESS - happy days!

See you later - -

Heather -

emoticon and emoticon to our NO EXCUSES TEAM

Jan, thanks for telling Andy how to do the quotes, I never made it back last night to do personals. I am about to leave out of town to visit my mother in law until Saturday. I already told her I am bringing my own food and she was so good about it. She just wants me to come visit and she said she doesn't care about how I eat. That is a huge huge huge change of attitude through the years for her. She is a wonderful lady. She said she just wants me to come to her house so she can "take care of me" and make me rest and get healed up. I have had a lot of infection in my body this past year and she believes I don't get enough rest and that I go, go,go too much. So she wants to make me all better. Isn't that sweet? Well, here I go. About to pack and get on the road....but first:

Jan, a BIG WOO HOO on the weight lost so far and an encouraging word that there is so much to live for. I hope and pray that you know what an incredible gift you are to this world and that there are many things worthy of living for. Like others have said to you, there is a special someone who, when he finds you, and it won't be that long, he will love you for who you are on the inside and he will love who you are on the outside. When true love comes, that man never sees the outside. I can attest to that with my husband and some of my friend's husbands. You wait and see. True forever love is just around the corner. Now, in the meantime, ENJOY your little man and your workouts and all the precious people in your life.

Andy, thank you for your "no mincing of words" encouragement to all of us here. We have missed you a LOT. I am so glad you are CHOOSING to forgive. You will be amazed at how many pounds THAT releases off your body. emoticon Unforgiveness is a poison we take hoping the other person will die. Once we realize that, really understand that and believe that, we can release that other person of their debt to us. Then, they no longer owe us anything. (Not saying they are not still accountable at all, because they are). There is a story about unforgiveness that says it is like we are tying a dead corpse to our own body and carrying it around until it rots off or we are destroyed by disease with it. Loose those ties and let it all go. Leave it in the dust where it belongs. It is dead. It cannot be resurrected or made as if it never happened. When we accept that they can NEVER repay us or give us back the time or happiness that was lost, then we can move on and make our time NOW a time of happiness and success. Cut that body loose and really live now. You can do this.

Sharon, Momma (Brooke) and PG, I so want you three to NOT do what me and some of us "false maintainers" have been doing. Just like when you FIRST started on MT, you have to set you mind to do this. THROW OUT THE FOOD NOW, or give it away to someone who is needy. You make up your mind to plan your meals ahead and just do it. Remember it is all about the planning and sticking to the plan. You all know how to do this. You are really really good at it. I have been there for about a year now and I am ready to finally put aside all my EXCUSES. They are not worthy of our time and energy anymore. They do nothing but disappoint us. The excuses have to go. Cook your meals, cut up your fruit and veggies, package up your daily meals and eat every 2.5 to 3 hours and make yourself drink all that water your body needs to push out the excess fat. Go to bed early if you need to in order not to stay up late snacking. Go to bed and read or something fun. Just not food related. YOU all know all of this, so this is just a reminder. I believe in all of you. I know you will be back completely on track today....

Tia, it was good to see you posting on the challenge. I know you will get to goal this year!

Caroline, are you visiting that new grandbaby? You are missed.

Heather, Girl, we are walking next Monday NO EXCUSES. Even if it is freezing cold here, I will get out there and do it. If it is freezing RAIN, that will not be an excuse but a good reason not to...hee hee.....but otherwise, we will get out there and move it baby.

Michelle, You are one of the three of us who need to stop false maintenance. I know that you can make plans to stay pop this year and eat no more of anything off plan at night with your DH until all your weight is lost that you want to lose. You can do this! Come on and make your plan. Maybe you can make a fruit smoothie and freeze it like sorbet and eat that at night. I know you can do it.

Well, I have to get packed and out of here. I will post from my phone while away so the posts will be short.

My update on progress....7 inches gone since Jan 2, and 4.5 pounds down. Woo Hoo!

Good morning team

LeAnna way to go on your loss this week.

Am glad to see you all losing and keep it up, am proud of you.

For two days try to go back on six weeks but by the end of day end up eating foods off plan, I hate throwing food out so I am using it up till it is all gone and I haven't been getting in my exercises in either, so I will be back today doing my exercise and tomorrow will be back on six weeks 100% and drinking all my water. I am ready as I feel really bloated and can feel the difference and don't like that feeling and before I get so out of control and I won't be able to find my way back and undo all the hard work.

I have a wrestling meeting to go tonight so I will have to cook supper early for my family.

Have a great day every one.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

PG: Glad you woke up from your bad dream...Right now your probably finishing your water...and planning your meals for tomorrow. AND THROWING AWAY THAT DANG PEA SOUP and sticky buns? Hey, Your supposed to be running my fat arse down, remember???? Now focus Girl! NO Excuses!

Speaking of Funny: @Andy, as usual you crack us up. But more importantly you sound like your truly commited. To change or add a line to your page and posts, go to edit your page and at the bottom across from your ticker you 'll see a place to add a link and under it a place to add a quote.
Can't wait to see what it's going to be.

I've had a long busy day and tomorrow the same but the good thing is I'll be training with my little man. That's enough reason for living.

NO EXCUSES! Day 3: Andy's Waistline Held Hostage ... Andy reporting (Spoof of Ted Koppel, ... I can't wait to see how many "Ted Who?"'s I get). There was a waistline sighting today, but sadly it was in the mirror.

LA: I am still here ... NO EXCUSES (coincidently the theme of The Biggest Loser!).One quick question, how does one (meaning me) get my name to automatically print at the bottom of my posts along with some witty and inspirational saying. I was thinking ... "Yo Adrian, I DID IT!" ... would be very touching! Oh LA, I am looking for the answers to my tough questions now. I realize that I cannot forget until I forgive ... and it is for me, not for them, that I need to do this for ... ME! This is one duty I will not not falter on. The hate, anger, and subsequent lost self-esteem and abundant fear can no longer hold me back. You know what I mean.

Everyone: "You can call me Ray, you can call me Jay ... You doesn't have to call me Andy"!

PG: I watched the Biggest Loser last night too and I am not afraid to admit that I did shed a few tears when the Blue team was eliminated. They never had a chance to even try. As anyone who has suffered the fear, sadness, and ruthless indignity of being extremely overweight can attest ... you would do anything for another chance for help to redeem the self-respect that may have been lost or stolen. But as for us, I am holding onto all of you ... No excuses. I have never watched an entire season, but I intend to now ... it just so happens we all started on the same week. Oh BTW, I heard "Damn Andy" so often growing up that I actually thought it was my name (para-joking Bill Cosby)! But you can call me plain ... Andy, or Adam, or Bruce, or Billy Bob, or Dude or ... whatever.

Jan: You do truly understand the benefits of weight training.Your body often shows the changes that the scale does not. My wife once competed in body building contests too. Takes a TON of committment, thank god this time around that you (and me) are in for you (and me) and not the judges. I think that putting the Match.com on hold is a good idea ... besides, you keep up the hard work and NICE guys will be following you (in a non-creepy way) everywhere and asking for your number. And you will say "get in line boys, auditions are on saturday". Nazi Trainer today at 1 pm, and I know that you know that I mean that in a positive way. Oh, damn nuts and cookies.

Sharon: Missed you kid. I tried to re-engage after Thanksgiving, but I wasn't ready. I knew that I was ready when Sunday night I emptied a six pack of Coor's Light on the back lawn. Not a great idea as it turns out that pugs real like beer! I had to lock them inside and douse the grass with water. You will know. I believe that it is just around the corner for you. I know your metal as your are a champion in every facet. You just need to feel the challenge and you will bolt to the front as you always do. Let me know if I can help.

M3M: Sorry to hear that you are in a funk. But you are here, and we are only a mouse click away. The religion issue must be tough and I cannot even pretend to know your feelings on it. But, for me, my faith is only a honest heatbeat away. I do not preach it, but I surely feel it. It is always there and I am never afraid to call on a higher power to help me. I often receive such help that I ask for in a manner I was not expecting. So, how can WE help? NOW (KICK BUTT TIME ... AKA TOUGH LOVE) ... While I was gone I saw that you have been kicking IT on the weight loss. I heard that you were quite the inspiration for everyone! 136 pounds lost, my word M3M , you are simply, nothing else but ... AMAZING! SO again, how can we help? Because WE need YOU and WE need TO! SO pull on those boots soldier and TAKE THAT HILL! And why dream of a gym membership? And please don't call yourself a bum ... a bum cannot do what you have done. Oh, and you have not been "lousy" to anyone on this end of the keyboard, I believe that the only one you may owe such an apology to is yourself. As a favor to me I would like you to write down 20 positive things about yourself and post them to me on this thread. I know the list is longer than that, but I WANT TWENTY SOLDIER! YOU'RE IN ANDY'S ARMY NOW!

Heather: You have seen the website and seen some transformations, simply amazing. Now that I am nutritionally training to, I am hoping to realize some significant gains (ok, losses). I would try the total gym but I have found that having the sweat and screams filling the air is quite motivational. Oh, I am talking about the gym, not a torture chamber ... but my trainer makes me feel like I am in a torture chamber. I think that she really likes to hear me whimper in agony. I will try that supplement, what the heck. TOAD TURD ... LOVE IT!

Anyway, thanks for accepting me back. NO EXCUSES!

Gotta go get ready for the trainer now ... sigh.

ANDY

Yes - a woo-hoo to Jan!

PG - it's great to have you back love your sense of humor!! And yes NUTS win over COOKIES (as long as they are unsalted too!!)

Brook - I sure wish you lived close to me - I'd be your best reference as the woman who can GET THINGS DONE!!! Hellllooooo - don't these people see that sparkle in your eye??? And remember, bears hibernate and they have big furry coats. I am hibernating in my one pair of thermals today. I can't handle the cold at all. Big Big sissy I am! So I eat less if I move less - that's how I roll.......

Sharon I hope you got some rest by now and that your energy comes back soon.

Waving to everyone else - have a great, POP, rest of your day :)

2.2lbs down....can I get a WOO HOO??? l
Actually I weighed in today at 166.6 is this a sign? emoticon I am trying protein high and low carbs except complex carbs/ veggies and fruits. Taking supplements like complex B's, Sea Buckthorn, and mega 3//6 and 7 seems to be helping. When I have more energy, eating decisions seem easier to make when I have good energy. I'm putting Match.com on hold. Don't need the bad energy there. The "boys" will just have to wait...Ha!

Hope everyone has a great day. Sharon and Brooke I have no doubt that when you are both ready days from now you'll both have recharged youselves and start your stampeed to goal. Try not to trample us like a day after Thanksgiving shopping spree. lol

ok...have to go to my first client...have a great day! Jan

PG good for you in losing a lb and keep it up.

Brook it is ok to go off plan now and then to enjoy our selves but just don't stray too long from your plan or you will have hard time gettting back on it again and that is what is happening to me right now. We deserve it

Yesterday and today started with six weeks and by the end of the day end up eating stuff that is not on plan. I have some foods that I want to use up and I don't have all of my foods that I need for six weeks. I don't think I am ready mentally to be serious on my plan and am still not with it as I am very tired and trying to catch up on my sleep so I am just doing one thing at a time and hopefully next week I will be with it and really ready on my plan.

I just woke up to have a cup of tea and am going back to sleep again and later on try to get my exercise in.

Have a great day every one.

@Andy....sorry...Freudian slip there...."Adam" is my nephews name...Bruce is my brothers name. I love them both so your in good company. Welcome to the family...lol. Seriously...I'm so glad you found weights and it's doing wonders for you. I've worked with them for years and have the pictures to prove it. In fact when I was at my lowest weight working out for a competion, I weighed 135 but looked more like I weighed 115. There are lots of skinny "fat" people walking around. They are just a few years away from health issues because they may be cutting too many calories with minimum strength...which in the end makes people weak and sometimes even sick. instead of eating enough protein for strength and health. I just got my monthly check in and lost a total of 12inches and down another 1 1/2 BMI's. My body fat started at 138 and now down to 134.
I've gone size14 to size 10's with virtually only a few pounds down. Plus I'm super strong.
(Everyone in the diet center business always tells their clients ynot to work out to rigourously or with weights because it won't show and they want their money.) Trust me the pounds will go down, it just takes longer. Eat as much protein with complex carbs (fruits and veggies) as you can without adding extra fats or processed foods. When your body is rid of the fat it starts to reveal it's awesome muscles...that's where the real magic happens. Good luck Andy! Can't wait to see some before and after pics in the months to come.

I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Mine was perfect with an awesome workout with my lovely Darryl. What a gem he is. I told him about my "date" and he said what a jerk and then worked me out extra hard. WTH??? Does this kid have no mercy??? lol I was weak and sweating like a porker on a hot summer day.

PG: Girl the challenge is on!!! right now I'm sipping a 25cal 0sugar hot coca...(processed I know)I added a dash of cardomom, cinnamon, and turkish paparika. It's hot, sweet and spicy just like us. Hee Hee.

It seems like the new year is going to good to us. Everyone's working out or just doing something to help get to their goals. Thats a huge WOO HOO!!!
I just joined our 2012 challenge. With 40lbs to go, it won't be easy, but it's realistic and WILL happen. I've given myself a goal of 6lbs a month...and to get to it by June 30th. It actually adds up to 36lbs but the other 4 will most likely come off as some months I might lose a few extra...as bonus pounds for good behavior. Ok...we know what we need to do....so Let's go gang!

One of the hardest decisions you'll make in life is whether to walk away or continue to try harder.

Watching Biggest Loser and wondering if I could be one! Man today was hard. I was MOP did good but passed by a bowl of walnuts and berries and ate some. I was soooo hungry but I am back in control. Need to put away all the Christmas goodies...they are deadly.

Today, I started off good. Made it to 5pm. Was starving....well, felt like I was starving...then distracted myself with shopping and made it home to make a good fish and broccoli meal. Did my fingernails, read some emails...watched TV...then, past those darn nuts. NUTS!!!! oh why did I sabatoge myself? Oh well, a few nuts is a lot better than a bunch of cookies! mmmmm, cookies!!!!

Glad to see a bunch of us back and ready to go. Great to hear that people are exercising and gaining muscle...damn, I want to call Bruce...Adam...but that's not his name!!!! Darn you Bruce for writing about your name not being Adam...that's all I can remember. Its like telling kids NOT to do something...all they remember is what you told them not to do. Anyhow, thanks for the compliment about our pics. I bought professional outfits for my hubbie and I as I figure I've got a lot of years of being in the school system and need a good Santa. Next year, I hope to be a sexy elf though...my cherubic Mrs. Claus face will be LONG gone!!! LOL.

Here's to getting rid of those 7lbs gained over Christmas...(really 2-3...the other 4 are just sodium...or so I believe....can't gain 4lbs in one day...right?)

Watching the Biggest Loser's hanging on to each other...that's what we need to do, hang on to each other and don't fall off!!!

Take Care all!!!

heheh heather... at first I was like "whatchu talkin' about" and then I remembered my post earlier. :) ah I'm back. IDK it was like.. "9 months of this and tomorrow is a new year!" so I ate and it was like "what else can I eat?" lol! well, really I was lonely and I was disappointed and missing someone very much... so I went to the store looking for something specific and they didn't have it. so then I went to another store to see what they have and found 5 cartons of cookies in my cart. I put them all back. got some stuff for the kids and let myself thinking "just a bit won't hurt" and so the story went. IDK what happened but I'm glad it didn't last long. I'm not insane! I'm back on it. just curious now as to whether or not I want to keep losing on this plan or try something else. but i'm a chicken butt and I don't want to play around when I know I can lose on this. Just gotta be patient...

The kids have been sick for over 2 weeks and I finally decided to try out some workout videos I've been hoarding for a few years. Biggest Loser Workout was fun but got my heart rate up too high (160). It was only 30 minutes so I did walk away the pounds for 30 as well and loved it. it just about killed me a bit over a year ago at my highest weight... this time, it was perfect. :) It was nice doing something other than walk or stationary bike... made me dream of getting a gym membership and taking some of those classes ;)

weight wise, I surprised myself to see the last time I posted I weighed more than I do right now...

about the Burn the fat, feed the muscle - i know of the one by Tom Venuto. A friend gave me hers but I haven't gone further than to read the title, lol!

im just in a funk. with the cold weather, i'm not comfortable almost all the time so I don't do as much and I'm hating how lazy i'm feeling and being. I wanted to be more ACTIVE not less!! what do I do??? right now I can't do much anyways because the kids have been sick for weeks but I seriously do not want to sit around on my bum all day. Can't wait to get a job (yeah, still looking. I don't have references so... i think that's why i'm not getting calls back...*sigh*)

ok... i gotta get my broccoli and finish dinner... i'll try to keep up a bit more better... thanks to all those who've posted on my page, sent emails, goodies etc... i'm such a lousy team member on here.. you all are shining stars to me... ((hugs)) thanks for reminding me of your care. It's been lonely since I left the religion I grew up in... wish some of you lived near by...

Hi all -
Very happy to see all the posts!

Sharon and Brook - I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday! You both work so hard and now have shown us that you can enjoy and GET BACK in the groove. There IS hope!! I wish you both the very best this year - you have more than earned it.

Oh and Sharon I hear you about hating the cold. We had wind chill of 38 today and I am a total sissy!!!

Andy - I have been all around that bodybuilding.com website - they have some wonderful success stories - real inspiration. I also keep some supplements on hand always that work great for workouts AND concentration - only available from them. I have used them for a couple of years - no jitters - just help you to press on in whatever you are doing (for me it's work) Totally natural, no caffeine. Go to their site and search for bodyquicken. 2 bottles are always cheaper than 1. If my DH takes 2 capsules he will be up all night??? I take 3-4 and when the day is over I sleep like a baby - so if you try it, go easy at first :) I'm going to give my total gym a fair shake this year. I would love for my muscles to do the burning :)

Jan - this frog was more like a TOAD TURD! - That's why most people don't fall in love with their first date (or 2 or 10!) - but ALWAYS remember - YOU are in the single pool so it really does mean decent people can be found! You are definitely NOT the only one :) xxx

Caroline - I am glad you are upbeat and excited about meeting your goal!

I keep getting called - I'll get back later -

Heather -

Hi every one

Happy New year to every one and great to see some of the oldies back here again, PG, Andy, Jan and every one else. Welcome back oldies as you were miss alot around here. We are a team again and am so happy about that.

I started on six weeks this morning and by mid morning I end up cheating and my body is just not with it. It is really hard to get back into routine after being on christmas break for a week as I went to go to bed early last night and end up going to bed late, my computer was very slow, had to put stuff away, had to pay some bills, had to go through a week worth of mail. I am very tired and still didn't get to do my exercise yet and think I will skip the exercise today. Am so glad that I went back on the cinch plan before I went to my girlfriend's was pretty much pop the whole time until new years eve and was hoping to reach my goal of being in the 130's but I came up short of 2-3 lbs of my goal and that is why I mange to get my weight to 141 and went off my plan for 3 days to enjoy myself and now am back up 4 lbs and if I didn't go back on the cinch plan when I did my weight would of been back in the 150's.

Had a great week with my best friend, went shopping couple of times, we hang out, watch alot of christmas movies, rang in the new year together, it was good for us and good for the kids too and now back to reality. Didn't look forward to my husband attitude and we have nothing to say to one another. I come home and now the weather is so cold, bitter cold. I hate cold weather. Did manage to get back to sleep for awhile.

Jan sorry that your date didn't go too good, but don't give up as there is a special person out there for you as you are a very special lady.

Michele sorry to hear about Megan and hope that she is doing better and really hope that the therapy will help her.

Have couple of more things to do before I have to pick up my son later.

Lets all reach our goals. come on team we can do this. Hope that you are all doing ok and having a great day.

I have to get back into drinking all my water again. I have been stacking off on my water for almost a week.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

Hey gang,.

No excuses .... here I am. DAY 2: Andy's waistline held hostage! No new developments today, although every day in the shower I feel like I see more of my thighs and less of my belly. Oh sorry, probably Too Much Information!

Jan: Glad you survived your date! And yes it is rude for a man to discuss himself, other women, plethora of dates, or a date's size. Honestly, I thought those dating websites actually screened for compatibility. Oh BTW, you can call me Andy .... unless there is another dude named Adam in this group ... if so, sorry Adam ... I intercepted your message. And Jan, I enlisted a personal trainer about 3 weeks ago and she kicks my butt three times per week. In 1 hour she does more damage than I did in 2 hours to myself. Honestly, if she ever fails as a trainer, she'd make a great concentration camp commander!

Caroline: Only 1.9 pounds over the holidays, and ready to kick it into gear for the new year! Thanks for the advice on the beer cousin Gammah, I think that the deprivation led to a crazy rebound ... and I think that it is out of my system now. Let's hit it together.

PG: first of all, I love your picture, and secondly, way to go on packing your meals. I am rededicating myself to insure that I do not even think of relying on cafeteria food. Great job.

Heather: I met a body builder while working out just before thanksgiving, and after about an hour of talking with the nice guy, I changed my perspective about going to the gym. I will no longer go to burn calories at the gym, I will go to build a ton of muscle to burn more calories all of the time. My tummy is disappearing (not fast enough for me), my wife thought I lost 20 pounds, my sister-in-law told my wife at Christmas that she really sees a change in me, and at work I keep having people walk up to me ask what I am doing to lose weight ... and I have actually gained 10 pounds. Funny, I used to think that I knew a lot about weightlifting, but it turns out that although I have really good form, I really did not know what I was doing.

So, to answer your questions ... I do not have a weight training partner, but for the time being my trainer is my partner and is directing my program. And I will follow a 90 day Body bulding program, training only three days per week, with four days of cardio added and a modified MT diet. Most body builders follow MT-like principals ... as I now believe that is how Michael Thurmond developed them.

Sorry for going on and on gang, but I have reading a ton about this and I have concluded that I was chasing my tail at the gym and going about incorrectly. I need to build muscle to lose fat, and body fat% is a better means to guage my transformation rather than weight because my weight right now says I am doing bad, but my BF% says otherwise.

Finally, I recommend that if anyone is interested in checking out what I am talking about, go to Bodybuilding.com and see some of the transformations ... truly amazing.

Here is a link to check out ... http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/laurie-per
formed-a-fitness-180.html

Anyway, have a great day gang.

Andy

Good Morning TEAM,

I am out the door in about 30 minutes and my hair is still wet and I haven't packed my bag, BUT I promised to SHOW UP no excuses so here I am. The others can wait a minute.

JAN, so happy you were not abducted or worse. emoticon
What a jerk, but at least he was honest and up front and you don't have to waste another precious minute of your beautiful life with someone who doesn't love you for you. Way to go on being blunt with him back and yes, delete his numbers and avoid his calls in the future when he sees your NEW photos of the MORE svelte you in a very few weeks. You are amazing. Wait for the right one. It will be worth it. Don't settle. XOX

ANDY, so glad you are showing up. We need a guy around here and YOU are the BEST. SO glad you came back. I love your wit and your way of keeping us motivated without being like Jan's date...rude. You always make me smile. Please bring us a fitness challenge. God knows I need one.

Well, to the rest of you, keep on tracking and keep on Popping and keep on posting to our new challenge (by the way, just UPDATE your original posts when you start dropping weight so we can encourage one another). Heather, I know what you mean about not wanting to post weight loss until you reach your ticker weight. You do what you have to do to get to that number and THEN come join the challenge. We are off to a good 2012.

Love you all!!! Have a POP day.

I'm Here...I'm Here....sorry be so late for the fireworks!
First: my Date...lol...He talked soooo much I got a spinning headache! He was funny, but I sort of tuned out. He kept talking about himself and all the girls he's been with on Match.com Said he's been on there for only three weeks, yet somehow he has a list of a dozen girls he's either dated or had coffee with. Probably put them on ice too. Then he started talking about his past relationships and started getting a little pissed off just talking about them.

He then told me he thought I was amazing, loved my "crystal blue eyes"...loved everything about me....(as I looked at him like "Really?") It came ... I...(that's right..ME!) "I" wasn't slim enough for his type of woman...LMAO. Helloooo!!!! Did he not see my pictures? Did I say I was slim? No I did not... and he said I just looked like such an elegant woman he wanted to see what I was like.Said he hoped he hadn't hurt my feelings, I was laughing when I told him he hadn't. Then he asked me how long I was from my goal weight. I told him it won't matter, because HE won't be the one to enjoy it because I'll be TOO hot for him. We laughed and talked somemore and left with him saying he wants me to stay in touch..."NOT" going to happen!. He's stilling living in the past when he probably was a hotty....now he's 70 years old and living in a new world. End of another date...but even though it was late and only drinking tea... it was still a better date than my first one with a full dinner. NEXT!

PG: Here's some good news for us! I never checked my ticker when I started putting pounds back on AGAIN! So I'm starting back at 167. So chicky....We are going neck and neck down this road together. And I'm happy to be doing it with you.

Heather: You've kept your weight down and now it's just a matter of months not years to regain your crown and get to you incredible goal.

LA: I think maintaining is probably as hard as losing. You always make us sooo proud to be here and being human is part of our pride. Here's to the best year yet!

Michelle: You and I have not been the biggest losers but we're winners just to be here and to not have given up is HUGE! Today was my real first day of nothing but staying POP, drinking my water and working out. I manage to keep busy all day taking down the rest of Holiday decor and redid my bedroom with fresh linens and a new Picture over my bed to match my duvet. Shopping always makes me feel good. It's a fresh start. So Mmuch better than stuffing myself with bad foods. I'm eating clean...so lets make this OUR year!

Adam: Like you I'm lifting weights and have now been able to do all the things I haven't in years. Like 100lunges and being strong again. My trainer dosn't take no for an answer and that's just the way I like it. So happy to see you back here and doing well. This is going to be a great year for all of us!

Sharon : This is already starting out as a great year for you my friend. Your going to keep us on our toes and that's just fine by us.

Brook and Tia I see are both running down from village to village claiming their new figures. Congrats and Happy new year. Way to go to reach your goals. Not far to go from here.

And now Caroline: You WILL make your goal this year. I feel sometimes that story of the tortoise and the hare really comes in handy when we get down on ourselves. It's not about how fast we lose the weight, it's about how committed we become along the way to get there and keep it off.

This Year is our fresh start and we should be happy with who we are each day...extra weight and all. WE are strong, smart and able. Nothing's going to get in our way...as long as we stay together, stay strong. We WILL succeed. No one left behind...like last year...we reached out when someone stumbled and most came back. Others succeeded in other teams but still came to check in and let us know we were in their thoughts. That makes us a pretty special team.
So here's to a new year!

Jan

Hello and Happy New Year!

It's wonderful to see so many coming back to work on our goals as a team. PG - love your upbeat attitude. YES you lost last year and YES you will this year too :) Sorry you are having to work so many hours

Sharon - you are ahead of me now - way to kick my arse and make me step up to the challenge!! I actually enjoy having someone within a few pounds to keep me on my toes! CONGRATS on such diligence and hard work - it is really paying off for you. I'm glad you are back you were missed!

I am not going to change my ticker (stomping my feet). Call me stubborn but I don't want credit for pounds I've already lost
emoticon
I'm hoping weigh in tomorrow will either have me at ticker or a pound over - either way I will let you know the truth! Today I was 143.8 and I am BEHAVING!

Andy - good choice on weight training. I need a dose of that right now. I am resolving to put extra effort into my core. I've said this before but I really need to make it happen because I know that is why my back is giving me grief. Do you have a buddy you work out with or go solo? One more question - do you have a "system" or just wing it?

I did sit ups this morning and some "easy" back work. I am going to incorporate core strengthening into my routine tu-thur-sat and try to work it up to 5 days a week. Once I can feel my strength growing I'm pretty sure I'll want to target some of my other jiggly bits!

I've got all the fixins for some really good salad over the next few days. Last Christmas I overdosed on fudge. This year I was a mouse in cheese heaven! Not to mention the carbs that seem to attach themselves to the cheese. It was fun, but I am over it now and glad I didn't make fudge as well or I would really be singin' the blues!

We have a dinner at my boss's house Friday and planning a trip to Tampa and Orlando this weekend. I want to have my urges and focus well under control by then and I "feel" I am off to a good start.

I do remember last January just flying by and not really seeing any results (obviously because I didn't try). I want that to be a OLD STORY this year, the new one I have in mind is much more exciting!!

I've also thought about giving myself a treat at each 5 pound mark. Not sure what that treat would be, but it may be a good incentive. I know SP encourages that - so maybe it's time to check it out. I'd love a new pair of walking shoes - and it takes a lot of searching for me to find something comfortable - so that may be my first reward.

See you later!

Heather -

BLAZING BULGING BICEPS, BATMAN! ANDY'S BACK!!!!
Our Team is RE-Grouping for 2012. I am encouraged! Andy, sounds like you have a plan for success! Now remember to SHOW UP here daily as possible and post the good, bad and ugly. No excuses!

Sharon, happy to see you posting again. You were sorely missed. Looks like your time with your GF was refreshing. I am sure you will be the queen of loss around here very soon! Run to your goal!

Michelle, yes ma'am, this is definitely the year for us false maintainers LOL. No more faking it for us. You only have a few pounds to reach your goal weight. You CAN and will do it. So get started. Make it happen lady!

Jan, did you get home from that date? Do we need to send out a search party or what?

Heather, are you off today with DH? Missing you like crazy.

PG, do you have your cookie days behind you now? Get cooking on some POP recipes. Get creative and let's start a team cookbook this year. It would be fun. With photos. We can do it online. What am I saying? No off plan cookies though you little stinker!

Where is Momma Brooke hiding out? And Dale, we are missing you too.
I see TIA is posting some blogs and looking great.

Caroline, you can make your goal of 199.9. It will happen. You know who your helper is. One meal, one day, one week at a time.

Have a great day all. I am banishing myself to the kitchen and cooking today. Packing my lunch for tomorrow to be on plan no excuses. Going to see mil Thursday through Saturday and again, packing up food and refusing to eat her delicacies!

HNY to all.

Qucik note: I have truly missed you all. I am taking a different road than most of you. I have been body building for 2.5 months now. Although my weight is up, my body fat % is quite down. I have dropped from 38 % to 32 %.Every one I know is commenting on how I have lost weight, but the truth be known ... I actually gained 10 pounds. I have been hitting the gym as of late but not regulating my caloric intake. But that ended yesterday, caloric intake now in check and I am ready to rock and roll. I will be using the MT diet principals and increased resistance training with aerobics added as well.

Jan had another date and I hope it was better than the last one I read about. Sharon is down more weight, no surprise there. LA is in charge and setting up another challenge ... awesome. My cousin Caroline gave me permission to have my beer, but I am done with that now. I think that I went through a little phase.

SO M3M, Michelle, and PG ... WHAS UP?

Anyway, I am back.

Happy New Year everyone!

Sharon - Wow! Look at you! You've lost even more weight! What a great way to start the new year. Hope you had a nice time with your girlfriend.

LA - So, how did your New Years go? I'm with you, we need to recommit and stick with our plans and finally get the weight off this year. I just know that we can do it.

PG - Yeah! You're back. You were missed! Sounds like you've been super busy. Congrats for being able to keep most of the weight off.

Caroline - Good for you for only gaining 1.9lbs during the holiday. That's great!

Jan - So how was the date?????? Can't wait to hear the details.

Well, time to get on with my day. Like everyone else, I'm recommitting to my plan, which will be to eat less and exercise more. Hoping to get some exercise in today, before we head into town for Megan's therapy.
Have a wonderful day all.

Michelle

Happy new year everyone

This is a quick check in as I am still at my girlfriend's will be home tonight and will be back on six weeks tomorrow. I took the quiz over again before Christmas and it tells me that I am type B as before I was type A so I think I will go back to type A.

PG great to see you back here. You were miss. I think you are a b type as b have a harder time to lose.

Have a great day every one. Will be back here tomorrow.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!! PG IS BAAAACK!!!! WOO HOO!!!! You have been missed. A LOT. You and your DH are too funny with your costumes. I hope you gorge on cookies and NOTHING ELSE for about 2 days and get so sick of them that you are craving to get back on plan. I think you must be a B because I am a C and I know it is easier for a C to lose than a B. My friend is a B and she has a hard time and can't eat oatmeal except on days she works out. Also, she has to limit the rice and eat lots of grapefruit as her fruit.

Caroline, I think you are on track with your plans. Journal all your food and water and re-check your menu card often.. You can do this. Also, way to go on only gaining 1.9 pounds. I wish I could say the same
emoticon Some leader I have been. Sorry team. I am back on track now. You will be seeing less and less of me in the days to come. This time I am losing the rest of my weight and getting to goal. I am committed to you and to myself. I promise to SHOW UP here EVERY DAY that is physically possible for me to do so. NO EXCUSES. I have to admit, even though my days have been tough lately, not showing up here did not help me at all. You are the BEST TEAM on SP and I mean that. I just deleted all my other teams except this one and one other. I am committed to focusing on what is working and deleting what is not working in my life in every area. Why waste precious days and years of our lives on things that are not eternally valuable. YOU are all eternally valuable to me.

Jan, I sure hope your date was amazing and at the VERY LEAST a better way to spend an evening than watching tv. I am sorry about the ER visit. What a horrible way to spend the evening. I sure hope tonight is much more enjoyable. BE SAFE. Let us know how it went.

Michelle, how is Megan doing? Better, I hope! How was your New Year's at home? I LOVE being home for NY's. It is the happening place to be

Looking to hear from Sharon, Brooke (M3M), Dale, Heather, and everyone else before tonight is over.
emoticon

Official start...Tuesday when I go back to school. Good to see people losing...HOLY LOSING WEIGHT BLUEWATER!!! Yikes, I leave for a few months and she blows us away. Was she really heavier than me when she first came on her. Aha!!!

I was holding my own at 166-167 for a few months and then Christmas came. I have been doing my Wii Fit for the last week and although I'm back to 169.6....(just under 170) I'm 13lbs from my high last January. So, at 10lbs a year...I could be at my goal by the time I'm almost 50...which could be good!

It is still the longest STRIKE in BC history and it is STILL going. This means a whole lot of extra work for me...thus my long haitus from here. Stress, plus long hours, plus realizing I wasn't being serious about dieting was my decision to fade away. I did read about a month's worth of posting though so I'm a little caught up.

Confused with Abbygal saying she hadn't lost weight but as I recall she was about 160 when I left...thinking I might catch her...and now she's down to 152..so go Jan!!! A few others have maintained but so good to still see Heather holding down the fort and Michelle hanging around with her.

Sounds like its been stressful time for our fearless leader but I know she is going to lead the way this Jan. It is tough to have a parent in care and still be so caring. You're awesome!!!

So, I've got a few more days of loading up and then back on diet. I might do 6 week or I might do Valemont. Maybe 6 week since you guys are all starting up again. I need to find my quick card for type C...or am I a B? oh dear...which one is the type that has the hardest time losing? That's me. Kind of muscular but fat at the same time. Anybody? I'm going to have to look it up

Well, Happy New Year and happy losing! Go Team!!!!

Had not weighed for sometime...and was I shocked to see that I was
up only 1.9 pounds. I have allowed myself to eat what ever.
Why? I do not understand it, but it was the best motivator to get me going!!
Good to see Paranas back
