Yes, I worked out on my eliptical rider. Only 12 minutes, only because that was all I could do. I was dyin - at least I thought I was going to! Anyway, I ate 3 Hershey New York Cheesecake kisses. Oh my gosh, it was soooooooooooooooooooo good. Yah, I was bad, but just had to do it or I was going to bust! I got my water in too. I am going to quit weighing in every day. It constantly goes up and down.

I am not weighing myself for a few days. I did eat food yesterday that were loaded with sodium. I also had a few beers. I can feel the tightness in my hands and know I am retaining alot of water today. I dont want to get on the scale and get discouraged, so I will get back on track today and weigh again on Wednesday......I am so glad the weekend is over. Way too many temptations!!!
That is what we have to do! I also ate off plan yesterday. I worked out in the afternoon, didn't eat my afternoon or evening meals but had meatballs and pretzels with mustard dip at the game. I am up 2#'s this morning. I am sure the sodium count was off the charts. Just get back on track today and keep moving forward. We have to do this once in a while. I am hoping to get another 20#'s off before doing it again though!
Did 35 minutes on the treadmill today. This is day 1 and I must admit I came off plan today by eating some wings and a chocolate bar. Luckily the calorie count was not that great, but hope to really get on track tomorrow.
Haven't done the 18-min video, but looking forward to the massive weightloss.
I have just started the MT plan, but I try to get in at least 3 days of exercise, at about 60-90 minutes. Right now I enjoy it...that may change over time. I generally do a dance workout class or 1-on-1 with a trainer. To date since 1/1/08 I have lost 26.5 pounds just from that alone. I hope with the MT plan the weight loss can be consistent.
I have been doing 30 minutes on the treadmill 3 times a week. I am just not feeling the motivation though! I did the 18 minute workout last week but kinda lost it this week! I need to make myself do it!!! I think as I continue to lose my motivation will climb!! Or I hope-so anyway!!
I have to admit that I started strong with the whole "Ooooh let's exercise" and was not able to keep up with that for long even though this plan asks for just 18 mins of sculpting and some cardio how sad it that? On the plus side in my job within the next week I will have plenty of walking and exercise as I take care of my patients. God I wish that I wasn't so lazy for working out or had someone here to go walking with me. (sigh)
I hear ya!! My arms are so flabby and so I am looking forward to getting some definition here. Unfortunately while I have motivation for eating right, my motivation for working out isn't really there. I am doing my workouts but I just don't feel motivated to do it! Hopefully that will change as I continue to lose!!
GOOD FOR YOU!!! I told my husband that I wanted to go to the zoo on Saturday. He gave me a odd look(our kids are 18 and 11 - they are really not interested in visiting the zoo anymore). I told him it would be good to go and do a little walking. He agreed so we will be spending the day outside on Sat. I figure its a way to get started!!!
I have to admit since my walking partner hasn't been in the mood to get out and moving, I have been so sedentary. I take full responsibility for being a lazy butt. Speaking of said butt I plan to move it on Saturday with a few other local Sparks people and plan to spring back into action.
It takes a while to get motivated, doesn't it! I liked the 18 minute because it was fast! Last year I was working out all the time and just got to a point where I couldn't lose anymore. Now I hope with the 6wbm program by doing the cardio 3 times and the strengthening 2 times/wk I will actually get past that plateau!
I have to be honest and say I have not started the "fitness" portion of this program. I am going to start on Monday (01/21). I know I need to start now, but when I get home from work I am literally exhausted! My husband set up my eliptical and is waiting for me to use it. I have no excuse now.
Ok, this is my second week on program and I have been on my treadmill 3 times a wk for the past 2 weeks. Yesterday I decided to go through my 18 minute workout. It was confusing when I first put it together so I didn't get started on it right away. Well, I was actually surprised yesterday when I did it for the first time. It wasn't that bad! I have decided to do my treadmill on M-W-F and my 2 workouts on T-TH. How are you all doing? Are you following your own plan or doing the Michael Thurmond program?
