today's bento is still sitting next to me untouched.. not really a good thing ..but i'm just not hungry.. i've not really had much to eat today either.

But it's filled with broken riceballs..(they didn't hold)grape tomatoes, baby carrots, zuccini slices, and some chicken stirfry..oh and a helping of bread and butter pickles. dessert was a jumbo chocolate chip cookie and i have ranch dressing for my veggies to dip in.

have a good one!

Oooh, I need to look for Blue Bunny yogurt next time. I always just get Dannon Light N Fit. But I'd like to try that!

Today's Bento -- PICTURES ON THE FLICKR GROUP!

www.flickr.com/groups/sparkbentos/

Top Tier - Rice Crackers - 1/2 cup 55/0/13/1
Baby Carrots - 15 medium 57/1/12/1

Bottom Tier - Tuna Filled Onigiri - 139/0/27/5
Almonds - 170/16/6/7
Chocolate - 84/5/10/1

Not Pictured (in bag with bento)-
Apple (medium) - 81/0/21/0

TOTAL - 586/22/89/15

(That's cal/fat/carb/prot).

It's a little more calories than I'd normally eat at lunch, but I wanted those almonds and I think they kinda tipped it for me. :D and the chocolate... hahaha. But I got a veggie and a fruit. Go look at the pictures and look at my cute bento! I decorated the onigiri a bit to make it slightly pretty. For the filling I just used tuna and soy sauce. I was gonna put some furikake on it but I forgot...

yea it is the kashi cookie! it's so tastey. I bought my first box about 2 weeks ago. took lots of will power to make it last 2 weeks. lol
Blue bunny makes 2 kinds of pomegranate yogurt. one blueberry and pomme. and one plain pomme. I just get at walmart.

i know how you feel. my college town is so limited. but it's getting a bit better.

I ate my bento before I took a pic of it. lol
It was one layer

chicken fried rice with broccoli
pommegranete yogurt
Happy trails oatmeal cookie
fun shaped steamed carrots and daikon with pickled ginger.

I'll soon be through my huge batch of chicken fried rice I made... so then I can start getting more healthy.

I haven't taken any pictures yet *DOH* but today I took 2 yakionigiri, baby carrots and a boiled egg, 2 pieces of DOVE Dark Chocolate, and a Dannon Light N' Fit. (The yogurt was in the bag with the bento so... not sure if I should have included that.) I did almost the same thing the day before, probably similar tomorrow too. :D I grilled up 6 yakionigiri the other day.

MY FIRST TIME!!! haha

I froze 4 and refrigerated the first two as I made them the night before I was going to eat them. I microwave them in the plastic wrap for about 1min and they are GREAT! :D woohoo! I will have to try some fresh next time I make them, though. Also I posted the recipe with instructions on SparkRecipes.com

I'm soooooo lazy - i haven't organised a flickr account for pics yet but if you want to see some great bento's try.....
http://www.flickr.com/groups/bentoboxes/
pool/
or
http://www.flickr.com/groups/325804@N20/

they are both great.

I made Inari Zushi(?) last night for the first time and filled it with plum flavoured rice and red peppers - it smells delish but i'll have to give it the taste test this afternoon.

My Bento today consists of...

A bed of green peppers, sweetcorn, lettace presented in three columns with tiny slivers of cheese seperating them and then 3 chicken nuggets(Birds eye BBQchicken) on top of that with two cherry tomatoes on Har Rock Cafe sticks (the ones they put the cherries on in your cocktail).

I also brought a tub of fruit with a layer of mango, then strawberries, then grapes and melon. YUM

I will be attempting Onigiri for the first time on Sunday for Mondays lunch. Hopefully will have organised Flick account and upload pictures.

I bought a lot of stuff on http://www.mountfuji.co.uk/ that was pretty cool. see you soon.
