For energy some whole grain carbs are also good. I like to make Onigiri with brown sushi rice (I buy it at an Asian Grocery store, just look for a long or medium grain rice so it'll be sticky). It's a good idea with brown rice to soak it overnight before you make it.
Lately I've been hitting a wall around 2pm .. I'm not sure if I'm not eatting the right stuff or what ... so .. any low-ish cal stuff that I can put in my bento for energy? I can't do artificial sweeteners or caffeine so coffee/coke zero is out of the question.
