New favorite for me: Baked Tofu. It's slightly chewy, it's pretty good for you and can be eaten hot or cool--I don't recommend lukewarm or chilled. It's good stuff!

Rice! Gotta have it...stir-fried with veggies, sprinkled with furikake, made into cute onigiri and stuffed...the variations are endless! And it's so filling.

Oh...and I'm loving me some gyoza right now too. I picked up a couple of packs from the oriental market and they are sooo good nuked, then briefly pan-fried for a bit of crunch.

"This is the beginning of a new day.
I have been given this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or I can use it for good.
What I do today is important because
I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever,
Leaving in its place something that I have traded for it.
I want it to be gain, not loss; good, not evil; success, not failure;
In order that I shall not regret the price that I paid for it."

Another vote for tamago~ here! It's super quick, tasty, and it's easy to change the flavor a bit by mixing stuff in. And it's a good protein source, something I'm usually lacking.

I've been packing a lot of Morningstar "chick'n" nuggets lately too. :/ But I'm starting to get pickier at how all the items in my lunch box go together, and more Asian flavors tend to go with rice and pickles better.

Snow peas and baby carrots. They're just so easy. I really want to get more creative, though.

I'm huge on sugar snap peas. More veggie and also such a pretty bright green color!

Change to my favorite bento item for now. Now I'm all about tamagoyaki. Something about that cheery rolled egg just brightens up the box. Yum!

Hands down, it's gyoza. I love 'em! Of course, right now, I seem to be on a nikujaga jag. Loving it! Hmm, I really like adding in cherry tomatoes and kiwi slices too.

Of course you can stick anything in your bento if you want, but I was wondering what everyone else liked in theirs?

I loooove edamame, tamagoyaki or flavored tofu cubes. Those are nice for my protein. Sticky rice is a must. Snap peas and carrots for my veggies. Tempura fried broccoli or sweet potatoe good too, but that's once in a while.
